The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
reddogblitz replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This is what I don't understand about the Democrats strategy to keep this thing going. From history we know they have an uphill battle to hold power in Congress. The top thing they could do for re election is fix COVID fast. Rs couldn't fix it but they could. Set a standard. When we got to 70%, everyone gets a get out of lockdown card. Publicize it to encourage us to get there. Then when we do, declare victory and campaign on it. I guess they just can't help themselves. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

For the second dose do you get 2 beers? Congress had the perfect way to incentivise this. Get vaccinated, get your $1400 check. But they had better ideas. -

How would a vaccine mandate be put into effect? Congress? Presidential Proclamation? How would it be rolled out? How would the authorities enforce it? -

The Democrats Unification Tour*
reddogblitz replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That's odd cuz in the debate he said Barack and he could not get much done in their second term because of the Republican congress. -
The Democrats Unification Tour*

Very true. Usually when I hear Obama was treated bad cuz he's black, I ask, did they treat Clinton any better? If a black person/woman/trans/hispanic/asian/... wants to be prez they should take criticism like all presidents do and not blame it on racism, sexism, whatever. The American people are equal opportunity anihilators when it comes to presidents. -
Yeah and I should have been 7' 1" so I could play in the NBA. But neither is true so we should try to do the best we can in the world we have is how I see it. How would you propose we go about changing the criminal justice system to where money has no voice in justice?
-
You're right, it wouldn't fix everything. Nothing is 100%. However, money is power and money talks. If you don't have any you have no power and no one listens to you. Thus many things are chalked up to racism when actually its poverty IMHO. Lets look at one place often derided and rightfully so with racist results. The criminal justice system. That's a place where money speaks loudly. Go in with no money and you'll likely get a bad result. Go in with money and you will likely get better results. The OJ trial proved the system works. A rich black man can get off just like a rich white man. Same goes for education. Have money to go to a better school you get a better result. On and on ... Instead of whining its not fair that people with money have more power we would be better trying to figure out how to close the income gap providing better opportunity and as a result less racism.

If we could somehow crack this nut, all the rest would go away.

The FBI knew it was coming with the tools they have just monitoring FakeBook, Twitter, and Parlor and others. Why do they need more? The problem was not not knowing, but a bad plan for defense (almost none). The biggest question for me is why was that the case. Republicans and Democrats don't seem to be too interested in this question for some reason.

As I pointed out several times during the campaign. Goes to bad judgement. As did his 1994 crime bill and Iraq War votes, but y'all elected him anyway. I hope his judgment that he can dump $6,000,000,000,000.00 into the economy without causing inflation is right for once.

How did Joe do?
reddogblitz replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Hypocrisy from who? As for me, I think it is bad behavior on Trump and Biden's part. But what President Biden is doing/trying to do sounds inflationary. How could dumping 6 TRILLION into the economy not be? Inflation hurts the disadvantaged and poor the most. -

So if Trump blows out the budget its OK for Biden to do likewise? Is that your standard? Why would you want President Biden to do anything like Trump did? -

Do you think we'd have it today In its current supply if Pfizer didn't have a $2,000,000,000.00 standing order from the US government in July 2020? -
