  1. I would like to ask you a couple scientific questions if you are willing. I'm not a science guy. I'm a musician and computer programmer (business applications). But these are a couple of things I've been wondering about. 1. I know viruses mutate. Do they usually mutate to a weaker form? How often do they mutate to a stronger form? 2. Have there been vaccines developed and rolled out that caused death and sickness to the people who took them on any kind of scale.
  2. I'm not convinced they didn't let it out on purpose.
  3. No Doubt ... Marketing is Trump's thing after all.
  4. I know why the D's don't wanna move on though. Donald Trump is greatest fund raiser for D's since Newt Gingrich.
  5. The good news is he's not President any more. Time to move on.
  6. OK he did say it there. 1 for 2 is not bad I guess. Does context mean anything? And, its true, if we didn't test we wouldn't find any but as he went on to say we are testing a lot which we were/are and had/have a lot of cases.
  7. OK. That's nice but it was 5 months ago. He wasn't even President yet. I was thinking it might be good now that we have this hesitancy thing. I said it would be nice if Trump could give some cred to President Biden, but Trump's gonna Trump. Would be nice if President Biden could be the bigger man for the sake of the country. Operation Warp Speed did not "get this off the ground" or "give us hope". It gave us several highly effective vaccines that are going to soon get us out of this.
  8. What I think would perhaps cut down on some hesitancy would be for President Biden to acknowledge that the previous administration worked hard to get the vaccine we were told would take Yeats to develop and publicly thank him. And Trump should put out a blog post about how good President Biden is distributing it and encourage everyone to take it. If they were true leaders and cared about the country instead of getting one over on the other side and the next election, they would.
  9. Did you watch the video? He didn't say any the like that. At least not in the clip you posted.
  10. I like how Speaker Pelosi's mask matches her outfit. Nice!
  11. I kinda lost it on Fauci when a while back he was talking about herd immunity. He said normally he would say. 70%, but since we have vaccines and more than one he's gonna say 80%, 85%, 90%. Doesn't sound too scientific.
  12. This is what I don't understand about the Democrats strategy to keep this thing going. From history we know they have an uphill battle to hold power in Congress. The top thing they could do for re election is fix COVID fast. Rs couldn't fix it but they could. Set a standard. When we got to 70%, everyone gets a get out of lockdown card. Publicize it to encourage us to get there. Then when we do, declare victory and campaign on it. I guess they just can't help themselves.
  13. My Dad always made us get summer jobs and other part time jobs to gain the appreciation for work. But also provide an example for us as to what awaits us if we stop our education.
  14. For the second dose do you get 2 beers? Congress had the perfect way to incentivise this. Get vaccinated, get your $1400 check. But they had better ideas.
  15. Thanks B-Man I did mean 2031. Ten years after Trump's initial failed coup attempt when he takes over the whole shabang just like Hitler did.
  16. How would a vaccine mandate be put into effect? Congress? Presidential Proclamation? How would it be rolled out? How would the authorities enforce it?
  17. Actually its a good idea IMHO. https://www.forbes.com/sites/jamesconca/2019/10/08/carbon-engineering-taking-co2-right-out-of-the-air-to-make-gasoline/?sh=3d4cc64613cc
  18. That's odd cuz in the debate he said Barack and he could not get much done in their second term because of the Republican congress.
  19. Very true. Usually when I hear Obama was treated bad cuz he's black, I ask, did they treat Clinton any better? If a black person/woman/trans/hispanic/asian/... wants to be prez they should take criticism like all presidents do and not blame it on racism, sexism, whatever. The American people are equal opportunity anihilators when it comes to presidents.
  20. Yeah and I should have been 7' 1" so I could play in the NBA. But neither is true so we should try to do the best we can in the world we have is how I see it. How would you propose we go about changing the criminal justice system to where money has no voice in justice?
  21. You're right, it wouldn't fix everything. Nothing is 100%. However, money is power and money talks. If you don't have any you have no power and no one listens to you. Thus many things are chalked up to racism when actually its poverty IMHO. Lets look at one place often derided and rightfully so with racist results. The criminal justice system. That's a place where money speaks loudly. Go in with no money and you'll likely get a bad result. Go in with money and you will likely get better results. The OJ trial proved the system works. A rich black man can get off just like a rich white man. Same goes for education. Have money to go to a better school you get a better result. On and on ... Instead of whining its not fair that people with money have more power we would be better trying to figure out how to close the income gap providing better opportunity and as a result less racism.
  22. If we could somehow crack this nut, all the rest would go away.
  23. Were the Central Park 5 super predators?
