  1. I heard an idea the other day about opening schools I thought interesting. Close schools now until September. Everyone repeats a grade. By September we should be in a lot better shape due to vaccines. How much have kids actually learned since September 2020 and will learn in a few more months of Zoom school??
  2. No I don't got it. When Trump said these things, he was a private citizen. So what? It wasn't up to him. Instead, it was up to congress. They passed it. President Biden and others voted for it. That's why we went. Trump was the first President since Jimmy Carter to not attack a foreign country or get us into a foreign armed conflict. Do you remember Jimmy Carter? I do. It was a long time ago. Ironically they were both 1 term Presidents. ^^^^^^^^ See above
  3. What in heaven's does Trump have to do with this?
  4. And President Biden and Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer and former Secretary of State/Climate czar John Kerry believed her. What does this say about their judgement and ability to lead the country? If even coked up frat boy W can pull one over on them doesn't that indicate they could be snookered again by someone else? Maybe Putin or Little Rocket Man or Xi Jinping? Something to think about.
  5. The attempt to give a pass to Democrats that voted for it is a false narrative.
  6. Here is another good take on war and why it happens and who profits. It was written by Smedley Butler, the most decorated Marine in WW I. https://www.wanttoknow.info/warisaracket Its not very long. I highly recommend it.
  7. Even Romney and Susan Collins and Jaime Herrera Beutler and others who voted for impeachment?
  8. When was this country ever great? Why would you want to turn it back to the days of Jim Crow and when women had to stay home in the kitchen?
  9. Here's a novel idea. Maybe its both of theirs fault? Obama for not re stocking before leaving office, and Trump for not stocking up once he got in. If it had hit in 2015 we'd have been in the same boat PPE wise.
  10. Thanks for the link. Interesting. Density probably plays a facor. New York's stats are under investigation as well. Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Tampa, and Miami are all in the top 100.
  11. Do you not think Miami, Tampa Bay, Pensacola, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio are not dense? Just curious.
  12. Y'all keep saying this, but are you aware that COVID deaths per 100,000 are about 1/2 of what they are in more enlightened states like NY and NJ. And FL has a large elderly population. NJ is first at 246. NY is 226, MA is 213 rounding out the top 3. Meanwhile, FL is 125 and Texas at 130. The best is Vermont at 28. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1109011/coronavirus-covid19-death-rates-us-by-state/ FL is also #24 in cases per 100,000. Not like they're way worse as is often depicted. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1109004/coronavirus-covid19-cases-rate-us-americans-by-state/
  13. Sounds like Milano may be the next Poz.
  14. I would add that if this keeps up, in another 100 years from now they will have to rename all the stuff named after people alive now because some things we are doing now and think are OK will be determined to be evil by them. I believe its ridiculous to hold people of the past to the standards of today. If we lived then, we would have done what they did.
  15. Good time to start thinking about that Kracken thing. They're coming for the Sabres next year.
  16. This sounds a lot like Kurt Bonus it's first novel, "Player Piano". Good book and kind of freaky how prophetic it is. I highly recommend it. https://www.enotes.com/topics/player-piano-kurt-vonnegut
  17. Silly. You can't really delete anything on Twitter/FakeBook etc. Once you click Submit it might as well be carved in stone.
  18. Weren't democrats confident that Hillary was going to win in 2016? Why?
  19. I remember in the Colts playoff game Coach Reich did all the correct analytics stuff and played himself out of the game. Just because stuff should work based on averages of all teams doesn't mean it would work vs the defending SB champs when your offense is sucking eggs. I trust Coach McDermott's judgement over what stat geeks say he should do.
  20. I saw this a few days ago. I had some cuz I do wood working but I donated them in March. But I missed a couple. Gonna start wearing it now when I go out. I question that it would go away if implemented. The big hang up is it requires everyone to do it. Any plan that relies on everyone doing anything is doomed to failure. Especially in the times and country we live in. Saying FU to authority is a an American tradition and usually seen as a good thing. If even 20% of the population says no way, it will still spread and then after 4 weeks all the ones that did wear and stopped will be infected by those that don't.
  21. I looked at the link before I saw your post. I knew they used to have it cuz I watched it 😁. As you pointed out, the players weren't into it and suspect today's players definitely would not be.
  22. Houston GM and coach say they're not trading him. Why should they? He led the league in passing this year. He'll just have to cool it and play football like he signed a contract to do. If I was Houston I wouldn't trade him. I apologize for the double quote. Since they put the Quote button where the Edit button used to be I'm still not used to it. Also there is no cancel. Hopefully I'll remember next time.
  23. I was going to post this too but you beat me to it. I remember watching the 1965 game. Cowboys played some scrubs IIRC. not all, but some. My Dad was not too thrilled about that. He wanted to win. Tom Matte started at QB for the Colts due to Unitas and Cuozzo being out. First QB to wear a wristband with the plays written on it. I think it'd be awesome if the guys really played to win like a real game, but they won't.
  24. Ah, something we can agree on. W is a liar.
