I find these Jim Crow comments extremely gross. I'm old enough to remember when Jim Crow ( as is President Biden) was still the law of the land. Blacks had to ride in the back of the bus. They could not go to white schools or stay in white hotels or eat in white restaurants. They had poll taxes and literacy tests to vote. Black people could not live in Oregon until 1925 because the state convention forbade it. When Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. did a show in Vegas the hotel said Sammy couldn't stay in the hotel and had to enter through the back door. The hotel relented when Frank said he wouldn't play there under those conditions. If you think this is Jim Crow all over again visit the Civil Rights museum in Birmingham AL. Or, visit the Colored Musicians Club and museum in downtown Buffalo. https://www.cmctheclub.com/club-history Black musicians could not join the musicians union and play in a lot of the whites only clubs so they started their own. In Washington state where it has been legal for 9 years the price has gone down and the quality has gone up. I have zero desire to buy black market weed. Why bother? Too true. I always laugh when politicians refer to what they do as "public service". Servicing the public is more like it.

I did not criticize President Biden hiring her. However it does seem like some political inside baseball, but it is politics after all. I thought the level of nepotism and cronyism in President Trump's term was appalling. To think we have nepotism laws put in place after JFK that did not apply is ludicrous. Perhaps drafting a new nepotism law to prevent future cases like this would be a good thing for Congress to work on.

Who is this helping exactly? If you think about it, many black people are going to take it in the shorts again as often happens when the white man tries to save the black man. Atlanta is 53% black. The game was good for the tourism and hospitality industries. Reports regarding COVID I have read over and over said blacks (and other minorities) are over represented in the hospitality indusry. Stands to reason a lot of those workers will lose money due to less uber rides, less tips at hotels and restaurants, and Stadium workers losing a game.
