They know where you live etc which is true. As does Google, Apple, Facebook, Twitter, ... As does Kroger know everything you buy cuz of your frequent buyer card. And that information is for sale. We are in the big data era. Do you honestly think the only way for foreign actors to get this information is if Paul Mantafort gives it to them? Welcome to the 21st century.

It is kind of coincidental that a bat transferred it to a human in a town next to the lab that studies this kind of stuff and has had accidents before. I'm not saying they did, but I'm also not saying they didn't. I know the WHO etc has looked into it, but once this thing is over all the countries in the world should demand answered from China and have some countries like us run their own investigations.

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
reddogblitz replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I would like to ask you a couple scientific questions if you are willing. I'm not a science guy. I'm a musician and computer programmer (business applications). But these are a couple of things I've been wondering about. 1. I know viruses mutate. Do they usually mutate to a weaker form? How often do they mutate to a stronger form? 2. Have there been vaccines developed and rolled out that caused death and sickness to the people who took them on any kind of scale. -

I know why the D's don't wanna move on though. Donald Trump is greatest fund raiser for D's since Newt Gingrich. -

OK he did say it there. 1 for 2 is not bad I guess. Does context mean anything? And, its true, if we didn't test we wouldn't find any but as he went on to say we are testing a lot which we were/are and had/have a lot of cases. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

OK. That's nice but it was 5 months ago. He wasn't even President yet. I was thinking it might be good now that we have this hesitancy thing. I said it would be nice if Trump could give some cred to President Biden, but Trump's gonna Trump. Would be nice if President Biden could be the bigger man for the sake of the country. Operation Warp Speed did not "get this off the ground" or "give us hope". It gave us several highly effective vaccines that are going to soon get us out of this. -

What I think would perhaps cut down on some hesitancy would be for President Biden to acknowledge that the previous administration worked hard to get the vaccine we were told would take Yeats to develop and publicly thank him. And Trump should put out a blog post about how good President Biden is distributing it and encourage everyone to take it. If they were true leaders and cared about the country instead of getting one over on the other side and the next election, they would. -

This is what I don't understand about the Democrats strategy to keep this thing going. From history we know they have an uphill battle to hold power in Congress. The top thing they could do for re election is fix COVID fast. Rs couldn't fix it but they could. Set a standard. When we got to 70%, everyone gets a get out of lockdown card. Publicize it to encourage us to get there. Then when we do, declare victory and campaign on it. I guess they just can't help themselves. -

For the second dose do you get 2 beers? Congress had the perfect way to incentivise this. Get vaccinated, get your $1400 check. But they had better ideas. -

How would a vaccine mandate be put into effect? Congress? Presidential Proclamation? How would it be rolled out? How would the authorities enforce it? -

That's odd cuz in the debate he said Barack and he could not get much done in their second term because of the Republican congress. -

Very true. Usually when I hear Obama was treated bad cuz he's black, I ask, did they treat Clinton any better? If a black person/woman/trans/hispanic/asian/... wants to be prez they should take criticism like all presidents do and not blame it on racism, sexism, whatever. The American people are equal opportunity anihilators when it comes to presidents. -
Yeah and I should have been 7' 1" so I could play in the NBA. But neither is true so we should try to do the best we can in the world we have is how I see it. How would you propose we go about changing the criminal justice system to where money has no voice in justice?
