The Georgia Runoff--So Big!
reddogblitz replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
1st bolded - gonna disagree on this somewhat. Without term limits, more elections are decided on how much money and support the party gives them. Then the longer they stay in the more power they have so their constituents want to hold the power rather than start over with a less powerful freshman. its like a snowball rolling down a hill. 2nd bolded - taking a wild guess here but I would put the percentage of narcissists in national office to be 80%. Its what narcissists need, power, accolades, big public speeches, swarms of people following them around smooching their rear ends. Its a narcissist dream come true. And no one turns on the charm like a narcissist which helps them win. -

I have no idea what you mean. To fully appreciate Shout you have to experience it at the Ralph after a score. After the Extra Point, Shout starts up and everyone stands and dances and sings along together. And its the perfect length so when its over its Kickoff. Its a beautiful thing. I seriously doubt the whole stadium is going to stand up and make a sireen sound for 2 minutes. Also seriously doubt everyone is going to stand up to rap. When I was on the Seahawks Drum line and went to games, they played commercials after a score. What a buzz kill. Its THE BEST post score ritual I have ever seen in any of the other 4 NFL stadiums I have been to games. -

Not bad, but I'd go with this one from 5 years before that. Led McCann and Eddie Harris circa 1969. -

Yes, Hitler lost the presidential election in 1932. But at the time he was not a dictator ... yet. In 1933 Hitler was appointed as Chancellor by the guy that beat him in 1932 and then began his rise to dictatorship. https://www.thoughtco.com/hitlers-rise-to-power-timeline-1221353 -

Can you provide more info about this, perhaps a link. I'm not finding what you describe. http://www.history-of-american-wars.com/korean-war-facts.html Nothing about the NK dictator losing. The war started 2 years later. -

I've been thinking for a while in all this talk about Trump making himself a dictator or not leaving leaves out a very important part of the constitution and why it was set up the way it was. Founders very concerned about a strong man getting in office and becoming the king. They had experience with Kings and didn't want one. So they set up checks and balances which have worked well. Trump wants to invalidate votes etc but the courts over ruled him many times. He wants to stay in, the military and secret service will not stand for it. The President does have that much power. So I'm not worried about it. Trump can want to do whatever he wants, checks and balances say otherwise. -

What is the remedy for when someone does something very wrong that does not break the law? -
Turning the corner. Isn't that what Trump said and got annihilated for it? Bottom line: If a D does it its good. If an R does it, its bad.

What to do with Dawson Knox
reddogblitz replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's okay that Knox dropped that pass in the EZ cuz he caught a few hard ones later on and we were way ahead against a bad team. But what if he dropped one in the EZ in the SB and we lost by 4. Our tune may be different. Ask Cowboy fans about Jackie Smith. -
Yes Allen is better. Having Digs to throw to has helped Josh improve dramatically. He gets open AND catches everything. Just curious, would. You support trading Digs in the off season to get that #1pick back? They are both good and help each other to be even better IMHO.

Trump will veto "stimulus" wants $2000 per American
reddogblitz replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I agree. However, it takes 2 to Tango. Why isn't Congress working to over ride the veto? They have enough votes. Instead they're playing political games with a mad man's $2000 comment in order to try to win the next election. Meanwhile many Americans really really really need it to put food on their family. Hopefully Nancy has enough ice cream in the freezer to last til the stimulus checks arrive. Both deserve much blame IMHO. -

My nephew is a doctor and got his last week. My sister in law is also a doctor and will get hers Monday. I don't need to decide if I'm going to take it or not. Just tell me when and where to take it and I'll be there. -

And Hilary and Uncle Joe gladly hopped on board. Do really think someone who was snookered by W and Uncle Dick is smart enough to be President? -

Move goal posts much? My father used to say no one is all good or all bad. Why can't we say Trump did a bad job on a lot of things, but this one he did good? Trump had opportunities to get us in A war if he were trigger happy. A lot of people like you these days follow George Bush's mantra, if you aren't with us you're against us. Open your eyes. There are a lot of shades of grey out there. -

MANY Democrats voted for the Iraq War including our soon to be new fearless leader. And, yes the last 4 years has had less war and foreign entanglements than any President in my lifetime and it's not close. I know many of us don't like Trump, myself included, but he does deserve a large amount of credit for this IMHO.
