My favorite Lee Smith blunder was in 2013 vs the SB defending champ Baltimore. We were on the 3 yard line. EJ makes a handoff and stands there with the football hidden for a second or 2. Probably the best ball fake I've ever seen. Lee had snuck out into the flat all by himself. EJ throws a nice softball pass to him. But Lee tripped over his own feet and was unable to get to it.

Makes sense. I'm going to carefully watch all punts the rest of the season. What would be the proper response for gunners in that situation?
-
If Brian was on our team now he would be far from our best player. I think this is kind of a silly argument. We don't want to get a better punter cuz he might be our best player so we'll stick with a mediocre one instead. I kinda figured if 2 guys stopped and waited for the football 🏈to land at the 10 that that was the plan and Bojo kicked it further. I suppose that could not be the case but it has happened more than once.
-
I'm gonna have to disagree on this. I saw a punt I think was in Seahawks game where the 2 coverage guys came down and stopped at the 12 yard line expecting it to land there but the football 🏈 landed on the 3 and bounced into the EZ. That's Bojo out kicking his coverage. Happens frequently. He doesn't seem to have much control over how far it goes or where it lands. And as far as all punters shanking some, I don't recall any Brian Moorman shanks. Do you think we should just settle for mediocrity now that Moorman is retired?

Bad coaching bringing this team down

No it's not. It was River Boat Ron's staff of which Sean was a part. -

I ' m not bummed. Shoulda won but that's the way the cookie 🍪 crumbles sometimes. I think McD is a fine coach. But what you said is far from a certainty. There are 5 6-3 teams nipping at our heels. We can't afford to lose another one like this. -
I kept expecting us to go back to that screen but we never did.
-
I don't. I think it just kind of turned out that way. Cards had 3 WRs to the right and Hopkins on the left. The dudes on the right ran 10-30 yards down field close to the side lines. Hopkins ran up the side line and stopped around the 20. I think he saw Murray scrambling and did the scramble drill thing and went long. Murray saw him and just heaved it deep and Hopkins did the rest. Doesn't seem like a planned Hail Mary to have only one WR in the EZ

We don't have a run game cuz we don't run the football 🏈. 11 handoffs today.

If Trump loses and refuses to leave

Do you really think this tactic is used exclusively by the right? "Yeah I guess" on the Howard Stern Show. Howard Stern Show? Really? Is that all you got? -

I can see your point I guess. I just don't see "Yeah I guess" on the Howard Stern show as any kind of ringing endorsement. if he was so for it how come this is all there is? Usually when Trump is for something he does.things like take out a full page ad in the NY Times or run a national campaign to get someone to turn over their birth.certificate. I knew A LOT of people who supported the Iraq war before it started. They didn't say "Yeah I guess". They said things like "Saddam has nukes. We have to get him before he gets us.". " Melt the sand. " "He gassed his Own people." "Finish the job. " the story you posted was from 9/30/1016. It was a big story cuz the D's were desperate cuz they had a bad candidate. -

Thanks. The ONLY thing Trump is on record of saying is "Yeah, I guess so," Trump responded. "I wish the first time it was done correctly.". Doesn't sound like bigly support. "Yeah I guess" is certainly a far cry from a U.S. Senator making a stupid vote. Besides, so what? He didn't have a vote. Joe, a U.S. Senator, did and, as he often does, made the wrong decision. What does what Trump as a private citizen thought have ANYTHING to do with what Joe actually did with dire consequences? -

Biden President. Fight doesn’t Stop.
reddogblitz replied to MAJBobby's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
That's fine, but don't blame the South for him. He is a born and bred and until election a lifetime New Yorker. As is his sidekick Rudy. Own it New.Yorkers. -

Biden is the only one running for prez. I said the same about Hillary when she was running. I don't think Trump was for it. Do you have any proof that he was? But even so who cares? At the time he was a private citizen NOT a Senator with a vote like Joe and Hillary. An apology might be nice but as I stated above I want him to move to the AZ desert, wear sack cloth and ashes never to be seen or heard from again. But as the Stones said, you can't always get what you want. -

No. You're not gonna palm Trump off on the south. Trump is 100% yankee. Born and bred New Yorker. -

reddogblitz replied to Bob in Mich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
OK Bob. I'm just going by what I heard Joe say. Wants to decriminalize it while it can be studied first. sounds like a great plan. People can possess it and only risk a fine but illegal to buy. it keeps the black market in business and the government gets ZERO tax dollars. all this while 68% of Americans want it legal. I don't watch Hannity or Laura. -

reddogblitz replied to Kemp's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Actually I did not. He was part of the group that got it wrong as I said for now the 3rd time. Not sure how Republicans voted has anything to do with what Joe did. I think EVERYONE who voted for it should admit their HUGE mistake, resign, and move to the AZ desert and wear sackloth and ashes never to be seen or heard from again. If you fug up that bad at your job you need to find a new job. Just because I don't like your BFF does not mean I'm a Republican. That's just your George W Bush " if you ain't for us, You're against us" logic at play. -

The Super Bowl Halftime Performer Is ...
reddogblitz replied to TSNBDSC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You must have missed the one he did with Kenny G. I'm sortof with you on this. Yes, The Weeknd has a nice got a nice voice and sings well. But when I listen to this genre the first time I hear drum machines I lose interest. The rest of the musical accompnament is often sparse and IMO boring I prefer drums to have a big loud open sound like Danu Jones or David Grohl. I notice now some of these people have drummers playing electronic pad kits that sound like drum machines. WTF?? Why would one substitute the sound of a well tuned quality drum kit with something that sounds like it was generated on am 8bit computer with a tiny scrappy speaker? I don't get it but to each his/her own. -

Note I did say "Granted this was not Joe's sole doing, ". I am not singling him out but he bears a hefty dose of responsibility for what he did. Joe got the same Intel as Bernie Sanders, Ron Paul, Patty Murray, Xavier Becerra, Mike Honda, Nancy Pelosi, Loretta Sanchez, Maxine Watters, Dick Durbin, John Lewis, Elijah Cummings, and Gresham Barrett among many others. 24 Senators and 133 HoR members to be exact. https://www.thoughtco.com/2002-iraq-war-vote-3325446 How come these 157 people were able to see through Bush and Cheney's lies yet Joe could not? Stop making excuses for him. Come on man, Joe blew it on this one and it was a big fuggin deal. -

No it's not that topic. Thanks for the well expressed answer though. I was referring to then Senator Joe Biden's Iraq War vote. Granted this was not Joe's sole doing, but as a U.S. Senator who thought it was a good idea and voted for it, he bears a hefty dose of responsibility IMHO. -
