  1. I don't know, he threw a pick six and we lost by 6? No, he didn't do it on the last play of the game so we could say it WAS THE cause. Can you name a game where there was direct correlation between a pick and a loss? What would it take for a pick to the cause of the loss anyway? I suspect in any close game there are many plays that if went differently would have affected the outcome. It definitely contributed. And fumbles can still be bad even if we don't lose them.
  2. His philosophy had worked 6 out of 9 times this year. 3rd best record in the AFC. I suspect he was talking to the players in what they do. Not what he and the coaching staff will do. Key word "play". Coaches don't play. We'll See ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  3. Or Jackson. We had first crack at the 3 hottest young QBs in the AFC. We held out for Josh. That's alright I trust THE PROCESS so I know he'll turn out better than those other guys.
  4. Thanks. I was responding to your question of it I'd criticize after he throws to 300 yards. I don't care about any of that stuff. I'm results oriented. In other words i want Buffalo to win and I don't care how we do it. But we have lost 2 out of the last 3. QB ALWAYS had the most impact so he gets the most criticism in a loss. Had Josh hit the 3rd and 4 bomb we'd be crowning hi right now. I was also initially responding to someone who i thought was saying Hotrod couldn't hit the long ball. I believe you share that opinion. I just want to win. I don't care about 300 yard games of upside of any of that stuff. I also don't like baby sitting young QBs on a wing and a prayer they might be good someday. I'll know Josh can be good when he is good. In the meantime I hope we keep winning. go BILLS !!
  5. True. OK, he got one. I'm happy. Are you? Would be nice to have more than one every 20 games. But he does have one!
  6. Like I told the other guy that posted this, it was a long time ago I must have forgotten. It was a nice pass. Since he hasn't thrown any more before or since I think I'll have to chalk it up to the proverbial blind squirrel finding a nut theory. The other one he posted was way under thrown like the one in the Eagles game, but Zay made a nice play on it. Be nice to see another one some time this season. I'll be waiting ...
  7. In regards to Josh's problem with the blitz I have a question for some of the more savy Xs and Os guys than me. I usually hear that on a blitz a QB will check down to a hot receiver and throw it to him pretty much as soon as he gets the ball to beat the blitz. Is this a true statement? And if so, why doesn't Josh do it? Does he not see the blitz coming? Do Dabol plays not have a hot receiver? Seems like Beasley would be that guy.
  8. I liked Hotrod I admit it. I stand corrected. Thanks for sharing. They were so long ago I must have forgotten. The Zay Jones one was horribly under thrown and Zay made a nice adjustment on it. But it still counts. Go BILLS !!
  9. Oh really? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cTNqwZ5gkY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzrwEpKYHWk I'm still waiting for Josh to throw one pass like any of these. Or this for that matter:
  10. It was just an observation not a criticism. And this is exactly why I never watch his press conferences. It's like watching paint dry only not as exciting. I figured this out about 5 minutes into his career as the Bills HC. But I really don't care. Just win on Sunday or Thursday or Saturday as the case may be. Go BILLS !!
  11. He nailed it like he nails all questions by waffling around and tossing out tired football cliches and not answering the question.
  12. that's what I said. Beane 2. McDermott 3. But Beane did make plenty of personnel moves after he got here. So 3 years/3 drafts all together for McDermott and/or Beane. That was my point. Offensive talent level is far from where it should be after 3 years of the regime IMHO. Do you disagree?
  13. I can't believe no one has mentioned 2016. Hillary Bernie Martin O'Malley
  14. on the nifty play, so much for the idea that we couldn't run because they had 8 in the box. Nice hole for Motor to squirt through A s far as blitzing Josh, it's football 101. The Rookie Treatment. Blitz the young QB until he proves he can beat it. Expect the Fish to do the same.
  15. When did this happen? Poor Hotrod gets the blame even when he's not on the team. He and Josh were NEVER even on the same team. Ever.
  16. Every draft since Coach McDermott arrived we have taken a defensive player in the first round. I suspect we will again until proven otherwise.
  17. This is my concern with Beane. After arriving he jettisoned Sammy and didn't sign Woods (may be he couldn't, don't know). He then subsequently cleaned house further. It has now been 2 FA periods and 2 drafts and this is the best he can do replenish a pretty talented roster that was top 10 in points 2 years running? McDermott even had a draft before that. The only WR drafted has been Ray Ray in the 5th round. After 2 years they had only two starters worth keeping. Disturbing. This year will be the offensive year. Where have I heard that before? Singletary, Brown, and Beasley are a nice start 3 years in. Josh remains to be seen. After 3 years I would think we should be further along.
  18. I posted this in another thread but think it definitely belongs here. The ending of Sunday's game to me anyway was eerily similar to a Dick Jauron game I was at ironically against the Clowns. It was the Monday Night game in Brady Quinn's first start. The game Trent threw 3 picks in our first 4 possessions. We battled back to get the football back with less that 2:00 to go down by 2. A FG wins it and keeps our playoff hopes alive. Trent quickly got us down to the 35 where we camped out and then Lindell missed a long FG. Sound familiar? That was the night ? I officially jumped off the DJ bandwagon.
  19. Look at what other teams do for WR. The Falcons traded mulitple picks to get Julio Jones. Last year they traded back into the first round to get Calvin Ridley. AND they have a good QB. The Cheats** sign new top notch guys every year to improve their corps and they got Tommy. the Hawks drafted Metcalf in first round and they have RW. Chris collinsworth says your WR groups is only as good as your third guy. For us that's Duke if active or Foster or somebody. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Especially when you're trying to develop a raw QB. THE PROCESS is failing in regards to offensive talent.
  20. How is Lamar Jackson not a good passer? 15 TDs 5 picks 2036 passing yards and a 101.7 rating 65.9 comp %. Just because he can run doesn't mean he can't pass. I wish we had a QB that was that bad at passing.
  21. If you're talking about Tommy, his doesn't have plays. It has all the cheat codes.
