Kind of what I was thinking. Certainly doesn't look like 6:30 in the morning. There is no coverage of it anywhere but here. You would think it would be a big story. this looks like what the SPD was doing a couple of weeks ago.

Another installment of those that don't study history are doomed to repeat it. In today's Seattle Times, an editorial titled "Keep Protesting But End CHOP", there was an interesting quote. Response time in the area has tripled since the police station closed. CHOP wants to turn the police station into a community center. There are 2 community centers within a mile of the police station. -
Uncle Joe voted for it.

As I recall from the 2016 debates she is quite the war hawk. Makes perfect sense she would be for Uncle Joe.

FDR made a speech at the unveiling of a statue of Robert E. Lee on Dallas on 1936. https://www.dallasnews.com/news/2017/09/06/flashback-fdr-unveiled-robert-e-lee-statue-without-controversy-in-1936/ As someone who was born and raised in Dallas and observed the statue up close, I can report that Robert's horse was annotomically correct. The statue was removed in 2017 after going through the proper channels. -

Local Seattle Times columnist pretty much nails it here IMHO. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/politics/the-irony-of-the-no-cop-chop-it-showed-how-much-we-still-need-the-police-after-all/tweets In best BMam voice, read the whole thing. -
Who hired him AND brought him back for a 3rd season? McDermott is the head coach. Buck stops with him. He is responsible for the whole team including the offense.

Trump WAS impeached a long time ago. With the way things have moved since, it certainly feels like a long time ago. I think Maxine was on on that. -
I posted something about this last week. THIS takes the cake. They could have found out in 2 minutes with an internet search like I did. I guess no one pushed it to them on Twitter or FakeBook.

That ain't no lie. I remember when this went down last time in 2016 I think it was. I went to a couple of games and there was some tension around the National Anthem when it was played. Some kneeled and there were some hard feelings. It was like a loyalty test. If you stand, you hate black people and think it's OK for them to be killed by cops. If you kneel, you hate America. The story became which players were kneeling and which weren't. Then the Stealers (with a black coach) decided to stay in locker room. Except one guy was an Iraq veteran so he came out. What cluster F#CK. The whole meaning was lost and it became a circus. I expect the same this year. If I get to go to a game this year and this is going on which it likely will be I will do as I did then. Refuse to participate. When it got close to the National Anthem I walked outside the stadium and listened to some rock 'n roll on my iPod. When it was over I came back in to watch the game which is why I came in the first place. The only thing that will come out all of this is football players will be able to kneel during National Anthem.

GOP can’t win elections without cheating

Thanks for the kind words! I know many here consider me a lefty. But in reality I like to view each issue as a one off. Weigh both sides. I do believe in some lefty stuff like I no longer believe in trickle down economics. I supported Yang cuz a least he was talking about automation and it's impact on jobs while most people in office have no clue about it. I don't like Trump. I also believe in some righty things like personal responsibility. I have voted for Ds, Rs, and Independents and will continue to do so. The think I like the least is the BS hypocritical views of people who are either blue or red with no wiggle room and lap up whatever their team says and bad mouths anything the other team does. So like here, I hear Rs are keeping black people from voting in Kentucky. So I looked it up. Turns out not to be completely like they said. It's amazing how often it turns up that what one side is trumpeting is maybe 1/2 true at best. I'm not on the blue team. I'm not on the red team. I'm on the American team. And I really like your posts. Keep up the good work -

Good catch. Yes the flag is unfurled in every breeze from dawn to dusk. But nowhere does it say they fight for the flag but it DOES.say they fight for freedom. But now we are just passing song lyrics. As a Marine myself I take it to mean fighting for freedom. So I respect others freedom as long as they aren't hurting any one. Evidently you take it different which is cool. Thanks for your service. Semper Fi Mac.

sounds like you're assuming what they were fighting for. A couple of lines from the Marine Hymm seem to suggest otherwise.

They didn't fight and in some cases die for a flag. They fought to protect freedom. Freedom to do what you want even of its not popular as long as its not ilegal. Like kneeling for the national anthem for example.

CHAZ Seattle Observations
reddogblitz replied to RocCityRoller's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Today in the Seattle Times they had a long article about CHOP, "Deadly shooting in CHOP leads to questions and soul-searching." In the article there was a picture of a guy with an AR-15 type rifle with a banana clip (high capacity magazine) strapped on his chest with his trousers tucked into his army boots and wearing a bullet proof vest. I found the caption somewhat ironic. "A man who goes by Lloyd, walks through CHOP on Saturday, carrying a weapon. Lloyd said it was his first day in CHOP and he's involved with anti-racist groups. "I'm here to deescalate," he said. "I don't want to have to fire this for any reason." In other words, he's like a cop in a no cop zone, but better armed. I read this in the old school hard copy newspaper and could not find it online, thus no link. -
Couldn't the same be said of people from previous generations? Don't you think they were doing their best with what they had?
-
Guess what. Some of the things you are doing now will be considered abhorrent 150 years from today.

I keep hearing a lot of people making excuses and saying that's not what it means. However, BLM does not say that and neither does CHOP. https://medium.com/@seattleblmanon3/the-demands-of-the-collective-black-voices-at-free-capitol-hill-to-the-government-of-seattle-ddaee51d3e47. Seems pretty clear what they want.
