  1. thanks for your response and service.
  2. it's not complicated. Colin just likes people that are dumb enough to get snookered by W. People who lied to the American people to get America in a bad war resulting in the death of 1,000,000+ Brown people. You know, people like himself. thanks for serving on school board. as to the bolded, can you give is an example of a rule you would get rid of please?
  3. where is this happening?
  4. I love getting lectures on racism by a person with an avatar of a white person wearing Indian "war paint".
  5. FDR was on hand for the dedication and unveiling of the statue or Robert E Lee in Robert E Lee Park in Dallas in 1936 and even made a speech. https://www.dallasnews.com/news/2017/09/06/flashback-fdr-unveiled-robert-e-lee-statue-without-controversy-in-1936/ This was before the big switheroo I guess.
  6. I don't believe any of this social media stuff. The greatest vehicle for disinformation and mind control than any other invention in human history so far. However, I do know a little about tear gas. When I was in Marine boot camp they had us put gas masks on to learn how to use them. They then took us into a quanset hut where they had deployed tear gas. We could breathe fine. Then they had us take the masks off. Drool and spit started coming out of my mouth. My eyes were itchy and draining water. I was coughing and could hardly breathe. Then we put the masks back on and went back out side. It took 15 minutes for us to get back to where we could breathe normally and our eyes stop itching. I watched the video. People were not running madly away which one would do if really exposed. Instead some were running and some were being bad asses walking backwards with their hands up. One dude even stood there and let the cops push him along with their shields. Again, cops without gas masks walking into the smoke ("tear gas"). My experience with tear gas was waaaaaaaaaay different. I call BS.
  7. The bricks thing is puzzling to me. If this is really happening, why has no one been caught or captured on video doing this? They are staged along the protest route they say. Police know where the route is too Every inch of most cities is covered by video surveillance of some sort. Seems like it shouldn't be so hard to catch someone doing this. Some of the pictures look like they could be staged too like the ones in Frisco, TX.
  8. I'm old enough to remember saying you have black freinds means you're a racist.
  9. Good points. I have been thinking for a while that the discrepancy in sentincing etc may have to do with $$ more than racism. If a poor black person (or any color for that metter) gets arrested and charged with a crime, they can't hire Johnny Cochran or F Lee Bailey cuz they have no money. Instead they get a Public Defender. So they get a longer sentence. Meanwhile affluenza boy gets off cuz his parents could afford a good lawyer. In the criminal justice system money talks more than anything else. The OJ trial proved the system works. A rich black man can get off just like a rich white man. As to your second paragraph this is very true and far from only people with menial service jobs. Microsoft recently laid off 50 journalists to replace them with AI. These were good jobs by skilled educated professionals probably hauling in some decent coin gone. Poof. Radiologists and Pharmacists are also being automated out of bidness. https://www.theverge.com/2020/5/30/21275524/microsoft-news-msn-layoffs-artificial-intelligence-ai-replacements AI and automation are a barrelling freight train headed down the tracks right for us working people and our way of life. Yet very few of our leaders are talking about it. I don't even think they realize it yet.
  10. Couple of things about the bolded. 1. At least in my dealings with insurance companies over the years I know they never make you completely whole. There's deductibles, fees, stuff not covered, etc. Also they are not going to pay for your lost revenue while you were closed for 6 months having your building reparied. 2. I care far less about the property damage (even though it sucks to high heaven) than I do the people getting their ass whipped for no good reason. Like the 60 year old 95 pound women in Rochester or the guy that got chased down and knocked out yet they still kicked him in the head in Portland, or the guy that was trying to walk away from a crowd of rioters and they chased him down and whipped his ass. Or the cop shot in the back of the head in Las Vegas. Or the shoot out in St. Louis. This ***** has got to stop. This is why civilization was started in the first place. So we can live together in some modicum of peace. Having Attila the Hun as your neighbor is no way to live.
  11. How long did he talk to them? How long should it have been?
  12. He did talk to George Floyd's family. Does that count?
  13. If you don't like draft dodgers I assume you will not be voting for Uncle Joe since he got 5 deferments for asthma even though he was an RB for the Delaware Blue Hens and worked as a life guard. If I were an Uncle Joe fan I'd keep my trap shut about the deferments.
  14. Come July and August he may have to change them air conditioner side chats.
  15. I don't know. I'm not a lawyer but I have seen enough episodes of the First 48 and Joe Kenda to know if you are involved in a criminal enterprise (kneeling on a guy's neck til he dies) and you don't stop it, you are as guilty of murder as the trigger man (knee man).
  16. If it is determined to be murder, all 4 should be sent up the river. If you're out with your friends and one of them kills someone and you didn't stop it, you're going to the big house for murder. What's good for the goose ...
  17. Why does anyone? Use common sense on when things sound too outlandish to be true. Couple that with filtering technology to allow you to filter out the crap you don't want. Then it's up the consumer to determine what is true or not as opposed to someone spoon feeding to them what is true. That's a lot of power to give to anyone.
  18. So I take it you ARE OK with Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg to be the arbiters of truth and decency for the rest of us? I hope they don't Bring it. I don't like Uncle Joe or Trump but still think that Jack or Mark deciding what future presidents say that is safe for people to read or not. I think a better solution is to let it be a free for all. Anything and everything is permitted. Develop filtering technology that will allow you to filter out the crap you don't want.
  19. I agree. but this is a different question. And, SOCIAL MEDIA IS waaaaaaaaaaay beyond KIDS in college communicating about hot babes. Back to my question. Would you be OK in 5 years if a flaming republican gets in at Twitter and banishes Uncle Joe or whoever from the platform? Thinking "Oh, I hate Trump so whatever they do to him is OK by me", is not smart. They are setting a precedent. To think it won't be used by your opposition to beat you over the head with it in the years ahead is questionable logic at best IMHO. Nuclear option anyone? Be careful what you ask for.
  20. Are you OK with Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg as the arbiters of truth for the rest of us know nothings? May be good for you now cuz they're "fact checking" what you like. What if say 5 years from now things change and the person at Twitter turns out to be a Republican plant and he/she starts "fact checking" the current seated D prez? I find this an odd strategy by Twitter. For years they and FakeBook and Instagram etc have said they are not a publisher responsible for content, they are only the pipes that carry the information. Now they seem to be doing the opposite. So does this open the door for categorizing them as publishers who can sued for libel etc.?
  21. I miss the home made signs. I helped hang a few up when a person could do that sort of thing at a NFL game.
  22. Sound man has a mask on. How many sound men does it take to change a light bulb? 1 2 3 7 4 6 5 9 ... Sound man has a mask on. How !any sounded does it take to change a light bulb? 1 2 3 7 4 6 5 9 ...
  23. Uncle Joe said he didn't have to apologize because the women he was trying to comfort took it the wrong way. And women are OK with this?
  24. Why can't we use this excess space and people to keep the people who were diagnosed in a nursing home there until they are tested clean and quarantined? Kill two birds. Put those 1,4000,000 people back to work, AND drastically reduce deaths in nursing homes.
  25. Won't matter once their husbands tell them to vote for Trump. it does.
