  1. He was step for step with a lot of receivers as they caught the ball in front of him.
  2. Under McD, they figure things out, and get on a roll at end so record-wise I’ll say 12-5, still good enough to take the AFC East as we beat the Dolphins in Miami as they fade as usual, possibly due to Tua missing games again.
  3. I don’t understand why this keeps coming up about Mark Davis. Don’t they all get part of the multibillion dollar TV money? Is he spending too much time in the casinos?
  4. This was truly a strange day of NFL football. The last 2 unbeaten teams both lost on the road to good defensive teams with crappy backup QBs. I had the 4 screen up for the early games and every game seemed boring. I don’t know if the league is watered down or what but there are few well played games anymore. The scoring had been way up in recent seasons but today there were 17 teams that scored less than 20 points.
  5. I hope you had a 40 oz burger instead.
  6. That commercial was the first thing I thought of when I saw he had passed.
  7. The 3rd down pass to Knox could’ve ended the game right there, but by falling incomplete, it stopped the clock and saved the Giants their final timeout. I don’t know how many of you watched the postgame but they showed that Taron Johnson should’ve been called for holding on the last play. Flag not thrown, game over!
  8. Williams came close. After he knocked Brown down he stood over with a clenched fist, coiled, but then thought better of it.
  9. Pats traded Bledsoe to Bills. Belly got the last laugh there.
  10. Yes, Klein was a strong pass rusher out of that position
  11. Neither major injury on Thursday had anything to do with the turf. Milano was bent into an unfortunate position. Jones’ pectoral injury was likely just from wrestling with offensive linemen.
  12. A.J. “Jason” Klein. He just keeps coming back.
  13. Exactly. Professional Sports leagues allow the refs to be too much of an impact. The NHL refs are the best and the replay team does a good job of getting the calls right. Nothing’s worse than the MLB and NFL officials taking 10 minutes to look at replays and still get the call wrong. i had noticed an issue that Eisen brought up that’s occurring this season. A receiver and QB miscommunicate on a route and there’s nobody where the ball’s thrown and they’re calling intentional grounding. That’s a huge penalty as it’s also loss of down. I even saw one where the QB was clean in the pocket. The refs should lean the other way. Brady would just throw the ball into the ground and rarely got called for it.
  14. Give up?! Give up?! Did the U.S. give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Now, if the Giants acquire Peterman to back up Tyrod, Tyrod gets injured, Peterman takes over and the Giants win, then we’re done!
  15. And I bet they think the same of this country with our gun violence and extremism.
  16. Cities without NFL teams: Birmingham, Ala, Biloxi, Miss, San Antonio, Oakland, Portland, Ore, Salt Lake City, Boise, etc
  17. And they gave up a 1st to trade up and take Sammy. Doh!
  18. They don’t play in Green Bay this season.
  19. Reference: Bob Chandler and JD Hill blocking for OJ.
  20. They’ve tried that with the likes of John Brown, Jamison Crowder, Emmanuel Sanders with middling results. Since many recent rookie WRs have come into the NFL ready to play, they just have to draft one earlier.
  21. Speaking of Trent Edwards, I just finished rewatching The Office series and in the last season, when Jim Halpert was working on that sports company in Philly, a coworker comes out of a conference room and calls out to Jim “We have Trent Edwards on the phone.” Trent was with the Eagles then.
  22. Or Nickel-Roby.
  23. Josh getting the “perfect” 158.3 brings to mind the issue I have with the Passer Rating. It is so dumb. So, Josh got the “perfect” score. Was he perfect? No. Did he complete all his attempts? No. Many QBs have received the perfect rating and there is no common defined data for them to get it. First, I’ll take that part on. To me, a perfect score should be for a QB throwing one pass for a TD for 99 yards. The only way to match that should be to go 2 for 2 with both passes for 99 yard TDs. Their system is flawed. There are 4 calculations based on Pass Attempts, Completions, Passing Yards, TD Passes and INTs. One of the calculations is: d = 2.375 - (INT/ATT x 25). WTF!! Where did they come up with the 2.375? What does the 25 represent? Then there’s a comment that if any calculation is greater than 2.375, it is set to 2.375. If any result is less than zero, it is set to zero. What?!!! Many numbers we experience in life in the US of A are based on tens and hundreds. Why do they have a perfect score be 158.3?
  24. This has been a long-standing issue with the coaches of this franchise. It goes back to John Rauch using OJ as a receiver. They’ve run small RBs inside the tackles, run FBs to the outside, etc. Chan Gailey was the only one to use CJ Spiller correctly. These coaches make it seem like rocket science in figuring out the best ways to use weapons.
