  1. Last season it was a bunch of wrist injuries. That could partly be due to playing video games which overwork the hand and wrist area. Speaking from experience here.
  2. I think Poyer has really helped him. After each of the big plays, Poyer was one of the first to congratulate him, and I don’t even think he was on the field for a couple of them.
  3. The last 2 minutes in Cincinnati were also great television and a compelling finish. Bad defense though. I don’t know who that defender was that did a shoulder bump on Chicago’s Loveland, but if I was the coach, he’d have been cut today. Plus, there were 4 other Bengals there.
  4. What was the purpose of using a timeout mid game when the Chiefs were kicking a FG? Did they not have the right number of players on the field? On one of the timeouts, a teammate kept telling Jordan Phillips to move and he was going back and forth. You’d think he’d know this defense by now. On the other there was a lot more moving around and pointing by several players. It definitely was chaos.
  5. I bought a conditioner at Sports Clips for my receding hair line and it has really helped. Wait, what are we talking about here?
  6. I’ve said that to people but most say Kermit the Frog. It’s especially Bobcat when Mahomes is calling signals.
  7. As someone else mentioned, this is today’s NFL. Many games are won by big offensive plays late. The Cincy/Bears game took it to an extreme but it’s been happening frequently.
  8. Cook has really mastered waiting for and finding the holes. He looks so smooth, like vintage Marcus Allen or LeVeon Bell. Ray Davis comes in running the same plays and gets stuffed.
  9. Yeah, the Bills’ DT group has been so weeded out, they played a guy named Phidarian today.
  10. How about QB sneaks by Josh always going to the left? KC was ready for it in last year’s playoff game, so they ran it again, and again unsuccessfully. Duh!
  11. You can’t run play action when on 3rd and short they frequently have an empty backfield. How about on the 1st offensive play of the game, since video of their games would show they usually run, they have Josh under center, do play action and throw deep? It seems like the last three OCs have done the same things where they too often make it easy for the opposing defenses by taking away the element of surprise. Three TEs, they’re going to run. Spread out wide with empty backfield and they’re going to pass. Lack of imagination. They used to run that jet sweep with McKenzie where they timed it perfectly where Josh took the snap just as McKenzie approached him, the O-linemen stood up and the defense couldn’t see that he was handed the ball until he was coming around the end. Haven’t seen that in awhile. You’d think they could do the same thing with Samuel or Moore.
  12. Yeah, it should’ve been planned as a mini series. Having to create ways to break out of prisons got old. Started to rewatch but got sidetracked.
  13. Exactly. You watch teams like the Niners and they scheme their receivers open.
  14. Ah, yes! Back to Breakfast with the Bills!
  15. Yeah, I really hope I’m wrong, but I think McD’s streak of post-bye week wins ends. There are too many deficiencies with this Bills team. Playing a team playing well on the road, that also has a productive running game, will be difficult to overcome.
  16. That’s another problem with this coaching staff. They make their offensive and defensive schemes so difficult that an acquired player can’t just come in and play. Case in point was Amari Cooper last season. Now, Rasual Douglas did come in and immediately play well but he may be an outlier.
  17. I don’t trust that McD will start Hairston that soon.
  18. Of course, the positive with Poyer is that he knows this defense and should help with positioning, etc.
  19. So, do they purposely go for these castoffs because they may be more willing to play this rotational scheme?
  20. Unfortunately it’s compounded by the fact that most of our LBs are small and light, better suited for a 3-4. Maybe the worst part of not being able to stop the run is that the opponents go on long time-eating drives. The Bills then have less possessions so each one becomes more important to do something with.
  21. I would like to see an aggressive defense that forces the offense to have to adjust, instead of us adjusting the defense based on what the opposing offense is being successful with. Likely won’t see that with our head coach. Most of you probably remember the Jim Schwartz defense of 2014. It was not only very successful but was fun to watch. Led the league in sacks.
  22. As has been pointed out numerous times, McD and Beane are at the same level, both reporting directly to Pegula. Odds are that this wouldn’t change after any future changes at those positions.
