The only game I ever left early was in the winter of ‘96. It was so cold that the vendors ran out of hot chocolate in the first quarter. The Bills were up big on the Jets, me in from California, my brother and wife from Texas, so we got the hell out of there in the 4th Quarter. Even my nephews who live there wanted to leave.

However, if Bishop’s learning curve is costing the team wins, I’d consider putting Poyer in. He may be slow but he knows how to play. He and Hyde were the QBs of the defense for all those years. We’ve seen Bishop take bad angles on ball carriers and who knows what was going on with that blitz play. He was like 15 yards back, the ball was snapped and after a second or so, he blitzes, which left a big hole in the back end. Hairston has the speed they need but he’s small. He’d have no chance vs Henry, but who does. You’d need a 6-4, 250 LB who runs at least a 4.4 to deal with Henry and there aren’t many of those on the planet.

I was ready to fry McD for taking the point off the board that made it a 7 pt game and go for 2 which failed. Then they had to keep chasing those points and go for two twice more and fail. Had they just kicked the extra points, the final score would’ve been the same. Of course we wouldn’t have had as exciting an ending. 10 on the 10 point heart attack scale.

He made some big plays today but that’s his MO. He makes a few splash plays but is invisible the rest of the game. I’ll take today’s splash plays though. That sack was probably his best play as a Bill.

I saw where people assumed that Lonnie Johnson Jr was the son of the Bills former tight end but in fact he is not. If this is really our lovable retread, I believe he would only be signed to fill in while our 2 new veteran defensive linemen serve their 6 game suspensions. But, what do I know? 🤪

As a Golden State Warriors fan thru the 80s, 90s and 0s, being in the same division with the Lakers and Kareem, Magic, Kobe, Shaq, I never expected the team to win the division, much less contend for a title. However, they did it in 2015. The two with Durant were like icing on the cake. Then, their 2022 title was unexpected but still enjoyable. Would I have been happy with just one title? I think so. They dominated in winning the 2017 & 2018 titles so it would’ve been disappointing had they lost. So, with 4 titles, was I disappointed when Curry got hurt in this past season’s playoffs and they were eliminated? Of course. Will I be disappointed if they don’t win another title before Curry retires? Absolutely. When you have a team that is good enough to contend, you end up wanting as many titles as they can get before it crumbles away. That’s why so many of us expect and want to see this Bills team with Josh take advantage and win one.
