Most of the comments in this thread are hindsight BS. In the 2018 draft, many here, including me, thought they picked the wrong Josh QB. Look how that turned out.
The draft is also hit and miss. For every Josh Rosen, there’s a Matt Milano.
I can’t remember Brady doing something like that. Sure he’d drive his team down for a winning score with say a minute and a half left, but not 13 seconds.
The Bills organization is just cursed.
The salary cap also has to be taken into account. T. White’s salary for 2024 is $8.3M. If he was cut, his dead cap would be $10.3M. Not that much of a difference but when you’re starting at $50M+ over the cap, every little bit matters.
Lower that salary to $3 or $4M and he may be worth keeping around.
Yeah, I love Josh as our QB but, in hindsight, they could’ve just taken Mahomes in the 2017 draft. They used the 2017 KC 3rd Rnd pick from that trade to move up and snag the incomparable Zay Jones. They then used the KC 2018 first round pick from that trade to maneuver to move up for Josh.
Another discussed detail of the SB26 INT in the end zone at 14-7 was that on a prior play Kelly was hit hard and got his bell rung. He shouldn’t have been in there for the pass INT.
I don’t remember who said it, but I remember a couple of times it was said that Gabe Davis was the smartest WR they’d seen. I don’t get it. Then why is he frequently near another receiver? Why do Josh and him miscommunicate so often?
I read Peter King being down on the current system because of coaches on playoff teams prepping for and being interviewed instead of preparing for a playoff game. His suggested solution was for coaches on playoff teams to not be allowed to interview for positions until their team was eliminated.
That of course wouldn’t be fair to those coaches as some teams with openings wouldn’t want to wait.
It started out with “Is this thing on? Because it’s gonna be on!!”
Can’t criticize his enthusiasm, especially if compared to a drone Dick Jauron and his “It’s hard to win in the NFL”
