  1. We went through several dry winters with low rainfall, incorrectly termed a “drought”. As a result foliage was dry and fires were popping up everywhere. The fire that wiped out the city of Paradise seemed to really affect the insurance companies. That fire and some of the others were attributed to Pacific Gas & Electric old and defective equipment. There were also some fires that were arson. we’ve had a lot of rain here in the Sacramento area in the last couple of years. Still, back in October there was a nearby wild fire that forced my wife and I to evacuate for a few hours until they got it under control.
  2. They could’ve should’ve taken Evans at pick 4!
  3. The pick of CJ Spiller was dumb, as was deciding to pick a QB (EJ Manuel) in the draft with arguably the worst QB class of this Millenium.
  4. Yep, some insurance companies stopped giving home insurance policies here in Northern California. We pay thru the Wazoo!
  5. Hey, I’m getting old. Memory isn’t what it used to be. What were we talking about again?
  6. How is he cash strapped with the NFL’s TV contracts.
  7. Yes, this is hindsight and discussed ad nauseum, but here we are, 11 seasons later and that decision continues to linger. They traded up to draft Watkins when they could’ve stayed where they were and taken Evans. Sammy has been out of the league for 2 seasons now while Evans continues to put up 1,000 yard seasons with double digit touchdowns. What could’ve been!
  8. And how about Tampa getting Jalen McMillan in the 3rd?. He’s come on after Godwin got injured.
  9. There also always seems to be reports that Davis is cash poor. With the NFL ‘s TV contracts, how can an owner be so inept to be cash poor? Did his dad leave him with a lot of debt or does he have lavish spending habits? He sure doesn’t spend money on a hair stylist.
  10. That was kind of a cheap sack Miller got for his incentive. He got a hand on the QB, who got away, then ran onto his O-lineman and fell down. There was one earlier in the year where Von wrapped up a QB, another Bill came over and grabbed on and it was scored a team sack. I guess it all balances out.
  11. It was interesting to hear broadcasters bring that up during the season without specifically naming Diggs. Spiro brought it up again yesterday about not having to force feed passes to a demanding receiver. Then he mentioned that they traded Diggs so viewers could connect the dots.
  12. Regarding Van Pelt, it may be more of a situation where a new head coach wants to pick his own OC, unlike Lindy Ruff having to keep leftovers.
  13. In a meaningless game for the Bills with a preseason approach, this may be my favorite item coming out of it. It’s too bad Bill B. was no longer there. Makes one wonder if the Pats dropping to the 4th pick had any part in Mayo being let go so soon after the game. Seriously, it would be hard to believe that a head coach would be directed to lose a game but who knows.
  14. John ‘Beavis’ Mara is one patient and forgiving man if he doesn’t fire Schoen. There he was on Hard Knocks saying after Schoen let Saquan Barkley leave and signed Daniel Jones to an extension “I hope I don’t regret this”. Jones ends up being waived while Barkley has a tremendous season.
  15. Now, will he stick around or transfer?
  16. Glad it was successful. The Billsy thing to happen would’ve been the 2 Bills colliding with each other and nobody catching it, or the ball pops up and is intercepted by a Jet.
  17. Who cares about MVP? I want a Super Bowl Victory before I move on. If the Bills don’t make it to the Super Bowl but Josh got MVP will any of you think/say “Well at least Josh got MVP”? I won’t.
  18. Yeah, after a few weeks, he admitted on GMFB that he was wrong.
  19. Undefeated at home and undefeated in the division! Plus franchise records for wins and points.
  20. Speaking of timeouts, what the hell were the Bills doing calling a timeout on defense with like 7 seconds left on the play clock up 40-0? Then they called one on offense with like 4 minutes left. ??
  21. The way Shavers ran away from the defenders, he looked like 2 HOF WRs that also wore #80: Jerry Rice and James Lofton.
  22. It takes 2 teams to make a trade. Maybe the Bills couldn’t find a trade partner to get high enough to get Thomas.
  23. Yeah, Milano did such a great job vs Kelce in the last seconds of regulation in the playoff game following the 2021 season.
  24. And the NFL Powers that be don’t give a crap if it’s a lousy game as long as people are watching it.
