  1. I give credit to the ref who called it a touchdown. Many times there’s a questionable play, the refs look at each other and nobody makes a call. Or one of them blows their whistle when they shouldn’t have. They allowed the play to finish to completion. If it was later ruled a fumble, the Bills would’ve had the TD. If it wasn’t called a TD, but ruled a fumble and they gave the Bills possession, they would mark it at th3 point of the fumble.
  2. So how many people jumped up after the first FG went wide and yelled “He missed it ! He missed it!”
  3. Exactly! You can’t be on a drive where you need a TD and do anything but try to score. There’s too many things that can go wrong.
  4. Yeah, how many postgames have we seen with the “We have to do better” and “We’ll figure it out” when nothing much has changed.
  5. Just a “decent back” doesn’t score 20 TDs.
  6. Tomorrow I want to see Lenny active and splitting Carrie’s with Cook. Will I see it? Probably not.
  7. God, flashbacks to that 2013 season, Marrone’s first. Lewis, EJ Manuel, Tuel & Tavaris Jackson. The next preseason, Marrone screamed at Whaley to get him a QB, which gave us The Year of Orton.
  8. The best way, I hate to say, is the Belichick Way. Come up with game plans for each opponent, trying to take advantage of their weaknesses and take away their strengths. I’m
  9. I sort of agree with Sean. Having an up tempo no-huddle offense might score quicker but it usually leaves the defense on the field longer. We would see that in the Kelly years where the defense would be on the field for like 35-40 minutes. Sure that team won a lot of games but how many Super Bowls did they win again? Yes, if this team’s offense is better at a faster pace, they could score more points. I’m just saying it can backfire if the defense gets tired.
  10. No matter how this season turns out, the Bills will have their end of season meetings together and with Pegula and I’m sure the issues with the offense will be discussed. Depending on what type of person Dorsey is, he will either resign and go away quietly, or be fired. My money is on the latter as he has shown to be an emotional person.
  11. For any Taxi fans out there, Christopher Lloyd or Judd Hirsch. Seriously, the Giants had so little trust in DeVito in his first game, they just kept running the ball. It amazes me that several teams have had to play late round or even undrafted rookies with guys like Wentz and EJ Manuel (😀) out there.
  12. This has been called more frequently in games this year. Many pretty much the same where the receiver and QB not on same page. Yet Wonder Boy Marcia used to just throw the ball into the ground and rarely get penalized
  13. Guys, if someone is going to every home game where they have a good view of the bench, and they can tell us that Josh is sitting by himself the whole time the offense is off the field, then maybe there’s a problem. Otherwise, commenting about a few second broadcast camera shot means nothing.
  14. There was a point during the first half when the Bengals attempted the long field goal that hit the right upright. Then the whistles blew. It’s telling that the first thing I thought of was that McD called another of his ill timed timeouts before the snap. Overall, the Bengals just looked like a more well oiled machine. Need a first down play on 3rd and 7, they get it. Need a stop on 3rd and 2, they get it. Bills are more haphazard. A good play puts them in a good situation. Then they find a way to lose that advantage. They are also undisciplined in getting untimely unsportsmanlike penalties after making a good play on 3rd down.
  15. This looks too much like last season’s playoff game. There we go again with the stupid grounding call.
  16. 15 yards for pointing and 15 yards for making a tackle? This league continues to be ridiculous!
  17. So, it’s actually legal to put a player like Elam on IR for a fractured ego?
  18. I felt the same way after the McCaffrey trade. The Niners are in salary cap heaven, at only about $160M vs the $196M cap. They have only 3 players (Bosa, Armstead, T. Willams) at over $10M and their starting QB is making $890K.
  19. How? If this is a standard Hail Mary play, the Bills should know how to defend it. Why was Bernard responsible for Godwin? He was trailing him. If Tampa was able to execute it properly to Evans and he tipped it forward, Godwin was right there. Bernard wasn’t in the play until he knocked him over. The short jump guy was double-teamed and mugged. They could’ve called P.I. on a couple of the Bills there. They were lucky nobody touched it. Evans is 6-5. They should’ve had someone taller on him to knock the ball down if it came to him. Before the snap, the announcer said the Bills had multiple players standing near the goal line, so why wasn’t one of them on Godwin instead of Bernard with 2 guys on the short guy and 3 around Evans? All this video showed me was that the Bills were lucky that Tampa wasn’t able to execute the play. The Bills played it poorly and could’ve been called for P.I.
  20. I was recently thinking the same thing. If they’re all not on the same page, that could be causing problems. I did notice on the broadcast they showed Josh talking on the bench with Brady, who was showing him something on the tablet.
  21. It’s somewhat surprising, too. When he became Commish he levied some heavy suspensions/fines. Then, there may have been too much criticism so he became more lenient (Ray Rice). Then you never knew what he was going to do as he was Al, over the place (Brady gets 6 games for Deflategate). I don’t think the NFL uses focus groups but maybe they should. Most fans don’t like the crappy football that’s usually played on Thursdays but it’s big bucks so they don’t care.
  22. Didn’t see anything about game balls. I would give one to those in attendance. They were really loud. A few times I could barely hear the announcer. 🏈
