  1. Marrone also had a contract clause which paid him for his last year of his contract even though he quit.
  2. Maybe they're trying to piss of Ryan so he'll quit. Then they wouldn't have to pay him the rest of his contract.
  3. The reporting structure is a new NFL trend. Successful teams like Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Seattle and the NY Giants also operate this way.
  4. Mularkey and Marrone both had seasons with winning records, the only ones since Wade Phillips second season in 1999, the last playoff season. The 2004 season under Mularkey saw the most dominant stretch of games we've ever seen, with 6 consecutive wins by 10 pts or more, Four of those were by 20 pts or more. Unfortunately that season will be remembered for the final game, which broke the streak with the loss to the Pittsburgh 2nd stringers, where a win would've put them in the playoffs.
  5. He'd have strong control because nobody would want to make him mad.
  6. Remember when the Bills started a season 5-1 under Jauron and he got an extension? It must be an extension jinx.
  7. I'm surprised Chris Palmer wasn't also fired. He has no ties to Rex. Roman brought him with him from SF. He's been a head coach and offensive coordinator but let's promote the guy with no OC experience.
  8. That play they ran twice with both Manuel and Tyrod on the field and motioning out to the wide receiver position and back under center was ridiculous. What was that motion supposed to accomplish? It was 4th and short. You think the Jets cared who was under center? Maybe Roman thought he'd confuse them with such a dumb alignment?
  9. They have a crushing FB that they rarely use.
  10. I wonder how long he will have Sammy. Not being able to finish the game was not a good sign.
  11. I'm somewhat surprised 45% of voters went with "the season is over". C'mon people, it's early. While I don't totally understand the offense being so flat last week, I expect a much better performance tonight.
  12. And he would register 100+ tackles most seasons which is also incredible for the position he played.
  13. Right now, I'd say just replace the word 'Shout' in the Shout song with 'Puke'
  14. How about Reggie McKenzie at RG.
  15. Just to be different, I'll go with Bryce Paup in the 1995 season. He was a menace that season.
  16. Yeah, my favorite player of all-time.
  17. John Fox? Did Rex actually say that? Jack DelRio is the Raiders coach.
  18. This was also an issue when Roman was OC for the Niners.
  19. I feel the same way. I'm watching this boring game, which I DVRed and watched later, and I see all these exciting games going on and I wished I had recorded the Raiders/Saints game instead. I'm another that's loyal to a fault. Fortunately my fantasy team did well do it wasn't a total downer day.
  20. I wonder what Schefter hear's about my ankle that I sprained a couple weeks ago?
  21. What does Harry Caray have to do with it? He was a Cubs broadcaster. What was that statistic about like 75% of the teams that win the opening game make the playoffs?
  22. 1. The Bills lose another game with their starting QB struggling 2. Another starting player (Glenn) is injured 3, Ryan Fitzpatrick throw's a game-ending INT 4. Only the Pats, without their HOF QB & TE, win of the 4 AFC East teams putting them in 1st place where they always are I expect to soon add to this... 5, Bills lose again to New England 6. Bills lose again in the West 7. Another player suspension
  23. As a Bills fan for 46 years, I always watch the Bills games but today I found myself wishing I'd been watching the Raiders/Saints game or SD/KC or any of the pthermore exciting games being played at the same time. This Bills loss wasn't very entertaining at all.
  24. From Baltimore 40 yard line, Tyrod throws a 5 yard pass to Dray, who is hit as ball arrives. Football pops up in the air and is intercepted by Ravens' linebacker, who runs for 10 yards and fumbles. Ball is picked up by Goodwin, who runs down the left sideline. As Ravens catch up to Goodwin, he dives for the end zone and reaches with ball in one hand. Ball is knocked out of his hand and bounces in end zone where Robert Woods falls on it for TD. Side note (for bonus pts): Goodwin breaks arm on the play.
  25. I dropped him a couple days ago when it was announced he wasn't starting and I decided to grab another wide receiver, Sterling Shepard.
