  1. I don't think it would be a good idea for Chad Kelly to return home to Buffalo where his uncle was a HOF QB. It would add too much pressure.
  2. Be patient, guys. McDermott was just announced as head coach on Wednesday.
  3. I like Hornell chili.
  4. McD stated in the press conference that he would evaluate the players before deciding on a defensive alignment. Mario Williams somewhat retired also after a switch to 3-4.
  5. Well, in the Ralph Wilson days it seemed that Chuck Lester had pictures or something on somebody as he stuck around thru several head coaching changes. Now it appears to be Danny Crossman. You should check the facts before making wrong statements. Brandon Tate finished 7th in the league in kickoff returns.
  6. NFL teams make their big money off of the TV contracts, not tickets.
  7. I agree with some of this. I liked the 5 team divisions because, playing the other 4 teams twice each, half of the 16 game schedule were divisional games. I also think they need to realign the divisions. Indianapolis should not be in the South division. Move Miami to the South. New York, New England and Baltimore are all on the coast so they should be in the same division and probably with Philadelphia and/or Washington. Why do they have to stick with the AFC and NFC conferences? Why not have them also be geographical like the NBA, with Eastern and Western conferences?
  8. The Benjamin's. Chargers have to pay $600 Mil in relocation fees.
  9. When the Raiders moved to LA the Bay Area TV affiliates still showed their games every week.
  10. I thought it was circle the wagons.
  11. Hopefully it's an experienced NFL OC so McD can just let him do his thing.
  12. Yes, I like it. Never hurts to have an ex-head coach to help a new head coach. I don't recall whether Gregg W., Mularkey or Marrone did this when they were hired. Marrone added Schwartz after Pettine left for Cleveland.
  13. Only if he's going to be part of a turducken.
  14. To me they need to work together. If the coach says "I need a slot receiver" the GM would go find one. The head coach has other things he's responsible for and looking for a player sounds like a lot of work that the GM should be doing. I also can't see how the GM could decide who to cut without discussing it with the coach.
  15. Is Leroi Chris Berman's "cab driver"??
  16. Wade Phillips won the last Super Bowl as DC.
  17. So, if it was Frank, would we call him the 2nd Reich for it being his 2nd stint with the Bills or would he still be the 1st Reich? Definitely not the 3rd.
  18. I hadn't seen this either. What an idiot! "No, that's not the word."
  19. I would get excited if Barbarian gets his wish and the Bills draft Jake Butt. I can hear the calls now: "Pass is complete to Butt." " Butt is wide open". "What a catch by Butt!" and of course "Butt fumbles" to which the fans yell out. "Sanchez!!" But more cow bell!
  20. Watch out, the Grammar Police are lurking!
  21. My personal favorite EJ blunder was a play where he rolled out and Clay was running parallel with him about 5 yards away with no visible defender and EJ pumped twice and then threw it into the ground. That has been replaced by that horrendous throw to Clay wide open in the end zone vs the Jets. I have definitely seen enough.
  22. Arizona goalie or former Atlanta coach? I'd go with Anthony Lynn.
  23. No, the Bills will make their usual moves that let talent go and then use available assets, like 10th pick in draft, to replace those players. That's why they never improve enough to make the playoffs. Gilmore will leave and then an early round pick or free agent money used for replacement. Woods will leave an already weak WR corps and then draft pick and free agent money to replace him without likely improving the unit. The Bills won't exercise the option on Tyrod so he will leave and they will scramble with a trade of a draft pick and signing of a mediocre journeyman and the QB play in 2017 will be worse, etc.
  24. In case some don't know, Saban is 65 years old. If Coughlin is getting too old at 70, why isn't Saban, only 5 years younger? Since nobody knows what drives Saban, we don't even know if he wants to coach in the NFL again. He currently has won 5 college football championships with #6 likely on Monday. That would tie him with Bear Bryant. Saban may have more motivation to get that 7th title and be the best.
