  1. Yeah, remember that's why we had Lewis and Tuel as backups to EJ because they didn't want him looking over his shoulder. I believe the same was done with Edwards and bringing in Fitz as backup.
  2. The Bills need more experience for backups. If Tyrod got hurt, they'd be sunk with those two.
  3. Son of Bertha Butt, one of the Butt sisters. Yes, I agree. Those that attended games and/or spend time on the All-22 have pointed out that Clay has been open but Tyrod doesn't see or throw to him. Until that's straightened out, we could have Gronk and he'd be underutilized. Yeah, NFL Network was covering the TEs in this draft and showed clips of Engram. He seemed small for an NFL Tight end.
  4. This past season I couldn't understand why they kept running Goodwin on outs. Tyrod has a hard enough time hitting a bigger receiver with a larger catch radius. Trying to hit the smurf seemed impossible for him.
  5. There will be a lot of UDFAs filling out that 90 man roster. Since only the top paid 51 count against the cap, they're still likely OK. I was hoping they'd sign Josh McCown for backup QB but he signed with the Jets.
  6. My thoughts exactly on the CB position. They have to keep using high picks because they let their own CBs leave. One of the reasons why we're stuck in mediocrity.
  7. I know we have crap at WR other than Watkins but if you're only going to pass 25 to 30 times a game, can they really afford to invest another high 1st rounder on a WR? I'd rather see if this coaching staff can better utilize Clay than add another TE.
  8. Yes, especially considering he was the number 1 pick of the draft.
  9. I was thinking the same thing about last year's group of vet WRs. Salas did OK before his injury but what were the chances that none of the others panned out? I'm also not sure that Holmes is any different from last year's bunch.
  10. Holmes has been a little inconsistent with the hands. He'd make a great leaping catch and then drop an easy one.
  11. Now if the Bills would sign the Raiders backup QB for the past 2 years, McGloin, I'll take that exchange.
  12. Wide receivers named Mike Williams have also disappointed in the NFL.
  13. You don't need WRs in the wishbone.
  14. He has inconsistent hands. Will make a great play, then follow up dropping an easy one.
  15. Hmm, I bet the Pats are really disappointed that they had to "settle" for trading for Brandon Cooks.
  16. One of the worst picks was OT Mike Williams with the 4th pick of the 2002 draft. That pick should end up as a long-time starter, which he was not. That didn't hurt that much though since Jason Peters, an undrafted free agent, eventually beat him out for the LT spot. Still you'd like better return from the 4th pick.
  17. Probably. That speed to go with that size. Wow!
  18. They also needed to add another Brown with Zach likely leaving.
  19. The 2 aren't linked. Just for kicks I went WR and then defense and it took it.
  20. Best of the free agent WRs remaining: Michael Floyd Cordarelle Patterson (says he wants to stay in Minn.) Anquan Boldin (still makes plays) Kamar Aiken Brian Quick Andrew Hawkins Andre Holmes
  21. According to Bills Daily's updated depth chart, the Bills roster now has 55 players.
  22. It's great to see Seinfeld references 20 years after the show ended! Even during the holiday season someone said Happy Festivus...for the rest of us.
  23. I wonder if the 1QB <=53 that was a long term QB was Chad Pennington? Anyone remember if he made a Pro Bowl?
  24. Per NFL.com, the only free agent wide receivers left are: Marcus Easley Michael Floyd Stevie Johnson Cordarelle Patterson Kendall Wright
  25. My thoughts exactly. Everybody else is playing for 2nd. Used to be the same with the freakin' Lakers.
