  1. So everyone's assuming this judge follows football, or the Bills or Clemson and knows exactly who Watkins is. There's nothing wrong with asking him to appear and explain if that is what would normally be done in this situation to anyone else. Doesn't matter if his brother is a pro athlete or famous/well known, they just want to confirm where/how the money was put up. I'm sure in many cases involving racketeering and money laundering there's a possibility money could have been put up under someone else's name that it might look less suspicious from (like a wealthy relative) If he didn't want to show up, maybe he shouldn't have put the money up or made other arrangements to meet the courts request. Just because he is somewhat well known, or a pro athlete shouldn't mean he gets preferential treatment or the rules don't apply.
  2. You want him to become a Jet and send "D**k pics"?
  3. it will take about a year or 2 after brady til they fall. Right now having an unknown backup come in and have some success isn't much considering this team can sign whomever they want because they all want a chance to play with Brady for a championship. Once Brady is gone players won't be lining up taking pay cuts to play there and they will fall back to mediocrity
  4. I would bet most of those people chosing the late games are doing so because of the opponent, or the fact that they happen to be or have friends/relatives in town at that time to attend the game. There might be the odd one who isn't too bright and actually thinks that they might be at the division clinching game late in the season........ (although they could just be gambling addicts who are just taking the bet that they will be there to see the moment the Bills clinch a playoff spot)
  5. With Rex not around anymore, doubtful It's Carolina cuts you want to watch for now......
  6. The driver may have been Jesse James, and he was just defending his "mom"
  7. OK, wasn't sure if it was him they were refer g to when they said they would have taken the person early
  8. yeah, they just did a big tour recently, only know this because I knew people who went and seen it on FB
  9. Didn't the 49ers say they would have taken him with their pick if they didn't trade down with the Bears?
  10. Have you ever met a company President/CAO/CEO/Top guy?etc? They don't have to work much because they have everysingle person below them to do the work for them. They hang out and talk to the owners, make public appearances and speak to the public, the dirty work is done by others lower down the totem pole. If Terry wants to bring in a new policy, or staff member/position, he tells that to Russ, then Russ hands the task down to someone a rung lower to take care of. Thats how business works
  11. Is it his job to put a winner on the field though? I would put that under the job of the GM/Head Coach/Players. Thats like saying that the Head coach is responsible for making the owner money I know, just had to take the shot
  12. He can't even run your country, doubt adding another one will make things easier for him.
  13. Theres even a difference between playing back then and playing now. Today, everything you do is going to be caught on film and posted online for everyone to see within minutes, Back in the Bills SB era you could go out and do stupid things and stuff an the only people that would know whould be those who actually saw it and their friends whom they told the next day. The media and attention wasn't the huge distraction that it is today for negative news. Because of this the league has also put in new rules and punishments for being caught in these situations or for drug use. You really can't compare teams/situations back then to teams/situations today. I don't see a problem with sticking to guys without red flags or character issues. How many here are fine w/ Dareus missing games because he did something stupid again and is suspended? I would rather have good players who are going to be on the field playing the game, the really good players who play portions of the season around suspensions because they can't control themselves and stay out of trouble or away from drugs for a short period of their life.......
  14. Welcome to my world with all 3 of those teams The issue is that they are not hiring the right people. Rex should have never even been granted a courteousy interview, firing him could come soon enough. There seemed to have been issues with Whaley dating back years ago that most just dismissed onto the coaches or others. For the Sabres, Tim Murray was a cocky prick first timer who was probably handed the job because no one else wanted to get into the mess the Sabres were getting into by tanking to get McDavid, and just like Rex, Bylsma shouldn't have been considered a candidate. These have all been well deserved firings of people who could not get the jobs done and just made the teams worse then before. We just have to hope they finally find people who are good and can get things back on track. If any of those previous guys had done things to have the teams showing progress and moving in the right direction, they would still be here even if they hadn't made the playoffs. Problem was they all had the teams looking like they were moving backwards
  15. Theres always a chance Yates shows something and maybe with the new offence he wins the job, or maybe even Peterson wins the job this offseason, he was called by some of the experts as the most 'NFL Ready' QB in the Draft.......
  16. Maybe they could get a 2 for 1 deal and get someone to do both? Now thats thinking outside the box
  17. Who cares if they made out and won the trade because of some value number system given on picks, or because they got a 1st next year. It will mean absolutely dick all if they don't end up with good players from those picks. Right now KC is a good team thats looking to upgrade a vital position of their team. If Watson ends up being atleast better then Alex Smith, its a win for them and I don't think they care if they gave up too much based off the pick point system. Even if Watson ends up a complete bust it won't mean anything if the Bills weren't able to use those picks to get players who are able to get them into the playoffs.
  18. go back and look at posts from last year and you will find people saying not to take a QB in 2016, wait til 2017 when we could get Watson, and I believe even Kizer was mentioned. No one said it was a Luck/Manning type class, but it's always wait til next year's class when playerX or playerY are available. It happens every year around year, it's like death and taxes
  19. that is until next year happens and everyone falls in love with some other QB and we hear how this years QB crop isn't great and 2019 is the year you want to draft a QB because QB-X is going to be there! Its the same thing every year......
  20. Because you have no idea where that pick will be next year or what kind of draft class next year will be. Every year everybody here will tell you we need to wait til next year to pick a QB because that draft class will be better, then when it comes we will here how no one is good and waiti til next year cause that class will be better Its valued lower because its more of an unknown, the pick could end up being top 5 or top 10, or could be bottom 5 of the round.
  21. The Bucks made the NBA playoffs this year, but are out now.........
  22. I would question a few of those, like soldiers who come back and have suffered things and then wind up homeless And for some of those, sure you might be compensated short term, or get disability, but its hardly much to live on, and in most of those cases, they weren't being paid millions for a short term career that they could live off of when they retire, many of those jobs (minus firemen and policemen) don't have nice compensation packages or pensions either
