I think teams are always in a reload mode with FA, just because of player turnover each year. I'm never on Board with a tank because it's never a guarantee of anything but wasting a few years making fans accept poor results with the hope that things will get better. You should always be doing whatever it takes to win every year, but I think they should be building with an eye to the future and not going all in on this season. Don't sell off the team to hope to get the #1 overall pick, but also don't trade everything away to get rentals to go for broke this year. They have a good base in place, keep tweaking and move some pieces around, with better coaching they can be in the playoffs or atleast have a better chance then with Rex here.

Well hiring coaches who were supposed to be knowledgeable and QB gurus hasn't worked for them yet, why not try something new? Whom better to teach someone how to throw the ball to wrs then a wrs coach?

I don't know how good of an OC Lynn really was here (not saying he isn't good, just tough to really judge him). There is only part of a season to base it off of where he had continue to use Roman's offence which he just simplified. We haven't seen what he can do when he runs his own offence. His offence was also very lopsided, only great in one aspect. That's why right now I don't see him as a huge loss. As for the others you list, the qb coach from the eagles has already been blocked from interviewing for the jets OC position, and Van Pelt might be tough to speak too because the Packers don't normally let their guys interview when they don't have to, and it's been debated here that the rules don't require you to let someone interview unless it's to step up to a HC position Ideally the hire should be someone who can run a good offence on their own since the HCs background is mostly defence, so a first time OC might not be a good choice right now

and how many former Pats coaches have gone on to have any success as HC in the NFL? You can be a great coordinator, or part of a winning franchise and still not be a successful HC. Yup, even before he became a coordinator he was getting looked at as a potential HC, and there are alot of teams bringing him in to give him because football people think he has the potential. Most teams have also been interviewing multiple minority candidates so it's not just to fill their quota. Looking at the bills list of interviews, it looks like Mcdermitt was the minority candidate interview......

They did already, when they sent Rex packing And there's a huge difference between a team tanking a season. And taking to week 16 to get their first win and a team that ends another season at the middle of the pact.

Also I don't think that the Broncos have ruled him out, I believe they just haven't asked to speak to him yet.

Wow, what did we do to deserve this epic battle in the first round, I figured the NFL would push to make sure a battle like this only ends up in the SB or atleast the Conference championship rounds. I think its even simpler then that. The started Ej because he was the only one else they had to start because they didnt want to push Jones into a meaningless game he wasn't ready for. They have said previously they didn't feel he was ready to start this season, and they are still paying EJ to hold a clipboard so throw him out for the meaningless game. Taylor was benched because he has been playing banged up/hurt and since they were officially eliminated the week before, they decided there was no point risking him getting banged up/injured further and wind up taking the choice of giving him the contract option themselves
