Bills Need to Start Trading Down When Possible
apuszczalowski replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
again, if they find a quality coach then you can have continuity which I agree will help the roster, but outside of Marrone who left on his own, who have the bills had the last 15 years that was worth holding onto longer and we're let go of earlier then they should have? Sure, holding onto Rex longer could have led to great things, and I could also win the lotto jackpot this week. But you could also say the sMe thing for QBs, maybe they let go of Losman or EJ, or Holbert to soon also? Or maybe they just need to get the pick right ND find one worth keeping. It's not easy, but knowing when to cut bait and move on is a good thing, rather then continuing to hold on longer hoping for things to get better. It's not like any of the Bills cast off HC or Qbs have gone off and proved the bills wrong for letting them go. -

true, but all teams have holes when FA starts, my point is that , looking at the roster last year, did we really need a couple more 3td, 4th, or 5th round WRs or did they need a good #1 or #2 guy to go with a healthy Watkins? -

Bills Need to Start Trading Down When Possible

It's much easier for the top teams to just trade down because they don't need the talent most of the time, or they CO replace some top players in FA easier cause players flock to winners. Those top teams usually just need filler or 1-2 players to replace what was lost and continue on. Bad times, like the bills don't need more filler pieces, they have enough. They need top end talent to get to the next level. Moving down just makes it harder to obtain the top end guys without having really good scouts who can find the hidden gems. Basically, mediocre teAms like the bills need quality over quantity -

the issue isn't so much changing coaches, it's not making the right choices to get coaches worth keeping here. Keeping Rex around wasn't going to do anything but push off the inevitable firing after more failure. -
Anyone interested in a used pool table?

Love that it's photographed sitting on pallets -
There was a time that what RI did would have been accepted and Martin would have just been told to "Be a man and stop being a kitty", but that was also back in the day where what hardy did would have also been called "Keeping his woman in line". Thankfully the world is evolving and its no longer acceptable to do either. Unfortunately there are still some who probably miss "the good old days" and don't care what someone does as long as they are good at playing a kids game......

Unintended Leak of Tyrod's Future??
apuszczalowski replied to theesir's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have said even during the season before that. Theres a reason he was dropped by the Dolphins, his first year in Buffalo was more of an anomaly, but all I heard was how the coaches were ruining him by bringing in competition and looking at other kickers, or he was injured, or just in a funk, etc. -
Unintended Leak of Tyrod's Future??
apuszczalowski replied to theesir's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well if the choices are going after an expensive, older Qb who hasn't been able to play a full season in a few years and has very little playoff success (Romo) or a pipe dream that has about as much chance of being signed here as acquiring Brady (Cousins) what else is left? Mediocre backups/failed starters like Foles, McCown, Hoyer, guys with very little tape who you have no idea if they will amount to anything (garrapollo, McCarron, Oakland backup) or guys that couldn't keep jobs with the Browns? Theres not much out there this year to pick from that are definitely better then Taylor (and it seems that the only ones who think so poorly of Taylor are Bills fans as most will say he is a pretty good starting QB, just not an elite one) So you stick with what you got, even if paying him mid level starter money is considered overpaying to some, and you buy some more time to maybe find an elite franchise guy, or see if Taylor can get to that level with a better surrounding cast. I don't think even the biggest Taylor supporters would deny that the Bills don't need to draft someone high for the future, compared to those that despise Taylor that think that once he is cut by the Bills he will be lucky to stock shelves at Wegmans and will never be seen in the NFL again (even though many reports have him as being in high demand/interest with a bunch of QB needy teams)...... -
Compensatory Draft Picks have been Announced
apuszczalowski replied to BuffaloHokie13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But are they winning because of these extra picks, or are they getting these extra picks because of the way the system is set up by giving the picks to teams that lose good players, which is typically what happens to good teams. They are good because they have good players and becAuse of the cap you can't keep them all... Bad teams have to do whatever they can to get better so they have to spend more and try to sign the better players in FA -

well with the Browns track record in the draft the last few years, it will be considered good if half those picks work out to be 'serviceable', and amazing if they get more than 1 superstar -

and what plan is that? Let go of every player with any sort of talent and collect draft picks and cap space, then pray some of those picks turn into good players and grossly overpay for FAs to convince them to sign for a team that has been a complete dumpster fire laughingstock since they were brought back in the league? How could that plan fail? -

Well his football intelligence should come into question, he says he wants to be drafted by the Browns....... -
Report: Bears Looking to Deal Cutler

I'd give the bears the pick (maybe even the 10th overall pick) for Cutler................ to be traded to the Jets -
49ers officially name Kyle Shanahan as HC
apuszczalowski replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope, those are still under Shannys control The 'other facets' are to take the blame for bad moves, & attend the boring GM meetings that Shanny doesn't want to go to........Oh, and also to look pretty for the cameras on draft day with their picks -
and yet they had almost no running yards, 400+ passing yards isn't hard when your throwing 40+ times a game. And yet with all those by yards they needed a last minute TD to tie the game.....

isn't really that hard to be a bandwagoner? Get to act like a cocky prick that's been there all along, since the team started ( when Brady was made starter) and act like they were in control the whole time instead of needing an epic collapse to win. Then also throw in how the team has to overcome everything and everyone holding them back. I knew once they came back from halftime and said the Falcons offence hadn't been on the field for like an hour and 8 minutes that the Pats would come back and win it somehow.

Man, imagine being that guy in Vegas who put a million+ down on the falcons covering the spread (3 points)

Has a backup qb gone onto greatness somewhere else
apuszczalowski replied to judman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Depends on how you define backup and success elsewhere. If your talking players who were on another team and went elsewhere to become good players, favre and young are good examples, flute had success in another league before coming to buffalo, and was a backup in the NFL before the cfl. As for Garoppolo, if rumors are true and the Browns get him, I think it's a lock he won't have success and just join the long list of names from the QB dumpster
