If Rex is fired, does a team hire him as DC?
apuszczalowski replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think his defenses have been good enough recently for teams to jump on him as a DC, u less it's a curtousy hire by a friend. I think Rex knows if this doesn't work out he won't get the chance as a DC or HC again and will try and get a TV gig. -
Adam Schefter: Rex Ryan to be fired end of season
apuszczalowski replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So if Rex were to do what fans are asking for now of just giving control of the defence to another DC, what exactly is Rex going to do and why keep him? His big selling point and the reason for him saying in a HC position has always been that he is a defensive guru with his great defence, now he is going to let someone else come in and run their defence? It's not like Rex has been known for running a well prepared, disciplined team that makes good choices. If you want a new DC or scheme, Rex has to go too For those who argue continuity or not wanting to start over with another rebuild, you don't have to if they fire Rex,they just need to find and hire someone that knows how to use the talent they have and make it work. And this idea that no one good will come here cause they only gave Rex 2 years, all they have to do now watch what the team looked like with Rex running it and it most people would see it as realizing their mistakes and cutting ties before more damage is done.... -
Jim Schwartz defenses doing Jim Schwartz things
apuszczalowski replied to dezertbill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hopefully some of this will quiet the "Schwartz for HC" talk But that still doesn't mean Rex doesn't need to be tossed to the curb as soon as they can. so in Schwartz's first season with a new team, where they have not been playing well recently, he is giving up on average a couple less yards per game then the defensive guru, Rex Ryan. So what? Doesn't make Rex's defence better, or good. -
him being the OL coach in Jacksonville 2 years after leaving buffalo doesn't mean teams don't think he was a horrible coach in buffalo or doesn't have a future as a HC. And this BS that he is hated because he quit on the team, he was hated just as much by the majority of Bills fans before he quit and they wanted to run him out of town way before. Him quitting just gave them justification for hating him.

How are the Chiefs a playoff team?
apuszczalowski replied to somnus00's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that's usually the sign of a well coached team. They may not win it all, but they get where they do and are a good team because they are well coached and prepared team -

if you took a look at the majority of those wins, you would see where the luck comes into it, they aren't winning because they were soundly beating people -
yeah, except the opposite. It's the bills fans who despise him and found him horrible. The rest of the league didn't think he was that bad. It's bills fans that blew everything out of proportion when he left cause they are butt hurt he quit and the didn't get to see him fired in a huge embarrassing public display

nope, Fred was the wonder years, his younger brother Ben (I believe) was on boy meets world

Brock's doing a great job showing the Broncos what they missed out on. Bet you Elway is kicking himself for pissing off Brock last year benching him for manning and not giving him big money....

GDT: Bills vs. Browns 1st & 2nd Half Thread

Danny or his FBI agent father, cause his dad really might help in investigating the pats organisation and figuring out their next way of cheating -
I hear the browns office doesn't even call people anymore cause they were tired of everyone thinking it was a scam, or just being laughed at. I picture their ticket office employees looking like the Maytag repairmen sitting g with their heads in the hands waiting for someone to call
-
bag, more likely to appoint the scanner head of finance or telecommunications I thought this post was going to be about someone getting a call or letter about renewing their season tickets.....

He also created alot of the big theme songs for shows from the 70's, 80's and 90's IIRC I want to say he was the one who created the Facts of Life Theme song. Its surprising what he accomplished in his career, between writing, music, and acting on TV. But then he also gave us Robin Thicke who steals others music...... He was also a very big hockey fan. Definitly a very Canadian way to go, but sad to here it was while playing hockey in the driveway with his youngest son (as per some reports)

THEY ARE NOT GOING TO GO WITH JONES RIGHT NOW, THEY BELIEVE HE IS STILL TOO RAW, HE WAS DRAFTED AS A LONGER TERM PROJECT AND THE BILLS STAFF/FRONT OFFICE KNOW WHAT THEY HAVE IN HIM RIGHT NOW
-
But when your on the edge of the redone, it's a better chance to get a td and leave you needing a FG to tie, which doesn't involve you needing to get all the way down the field to attempt. It's not like the Ravens were moving the ball down the field with ease
-
Why take the FG in that spot? 4th and 1 and down by 10? Go for the higher points and set up needing a FG to tie it
-
Pfffft, stupid Patriots, now their defence will be too tired to stop the Ravens offence.

Mike Shanahan and Jay Cutler
apuszczalowski replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh man, I forgot he is backing up Smith in KC, I still thought he was in LA. I would say he would be at the top of my list for a veteran stop gap with the next option, but not as ideal being Kaepernick then Bradford. Bottom 3 probably Hover, Cutler, then Room in that order. -
Yup, the I durance will o ly help TP with paying him the actual cash. If his option is picked up because the contract has a clause in it, then the bills would be on the hook cap wise no matter if an insurance company paid him or TP took the money out of his wallet himself. As for the exact quote on what LaCanfora said, it's how these guys work today. Give a tantalizing juicy piece of gossip to get the masses excited, but include some wording in it to make sure there's always an out.

Where is Foles? IR? -
I can't believe the refs couldn't find some flinch or maybe a player had the wrong fingers touchng the ground to negate the botched punt return. It's gonna take more then a miracle to stay in the hunt let alone make the playoffs, it's not worth cheering for the Patriots for those slim odds. Now watch as Brady takes the field and without breaking a sweat drive them down the field to get that td back OK, WTF is going on now? If the ravens pull this off or atleast beat the spread after how they have been playing, I may need someone to check on me to make sure I didn't have a heart attack or stroke.
-
I understand how the draft works, but there's no guarantee that I'd your 6th or 16th that there is going to be a player there you have to have, or someone looking to trade up. In later rounds the difference between 38 and 45 isn't going to be a huge difference either.
-
it's the only reason I'm watching this game, I thought it would be close and took the ravens +6.5 OK, that's were I was getting confused, you can hurdle someone, but can't use someone to help you get over.
-
man, the ravens are supposed to be one of the top defences and they don't look like they can stop anyone most of the time. I'm confused over the blocked FG, I thought they made it illegal to jump over another player. And Man, have the refs made a call against the Pats at all this game? I find it really hard to believe a team can be as disciplined as the Patriots always look to be. Everytime it looks like the ravens are about to do something they are throwing a flag
