  1. The NFL (and all sports leagues) are a business and they don't care about 'the faithful' if it isn't going to increase their revenue. Would they rather have 50k+ 'faithful' filling the stadium, or less 'average joe faithfuls' to make room for some corporate suits who pay an extra premium to site in luxury with clients? You might think that buying the occasional jersey, or hat, or shirt while drinking overpriced beer and concession food is whats helping them make money, but ultimately its not where the money is at, the money is the corporate boxes and the 'suits' coming in and buying more pricey/upscale drinks eating better food in the boxes.
  2. Could you just imagine having to pay alimony to your ex wife AND your Sex Robot?
  3. although in the case of the owners/team ripping up the contract, they do it because the player is not playing well. The team signs a player to their contracts expecting they play very Well, so when they don't play Well, they aren't honoring their side (player). But if they play well or great they are doing what they are paid to do. So when a player just decides they no longer are going to play under that contract, it's a little different. Teams don't sign you to a contract to be average. Personally, I say go out and honor your deal while trying to discuss a new deal. Instead of refusing to play cause you think you deserve more
  4. Well, guess this means its a guarantee the Jets pull off the upset Sunday now........
  5. I found it funnier that he said it, (along with many on social media) and then they really didn't do much of anything and got spanked by the Chiefs. Aside from MG scoring 3 times from a spot most teams score from, what else did he or the other 2 do to help them? Gilmore looked grossly overpaid, MG ran for a total of 45 yards, and Hogan had pretty pedestrian stays for someone in his second season with the great QB who makes average WRs look amazing. I'm sure the Bills are really going to miss those stats so much as the carry the Pats singlehandedly to a perfect season and another championship
  6. Well he could wait it out a few weeks and hope for a contender to have an injury need to fill also. Said he is 31 so he has probably made some money Also I doubt he even makes the visit if he doesn't atleast have some willingness to sign with them
  7. I have said this game will either be a Bills blow out against a BAD team, or it will be a craptastic crapfest ala Bills vs Browns the last couple times where it end with the score for both teams being single digits (probably with more arrests made in the crowd then points put on the board........ As for not naming the starters, its ok Bowles, no one is going to blame you if you just say "I have no idea who I am going to throw out there, Doesn't matter who starts, we are going to be bad and the player will probably be in the arena league next year...." They are bad, and for some reason the Bills always seem to play down to them and fight out 6-3 games....
  8. should he say "I sit with Michael and I sit with the people"?
  9. the guy stealing your truck? Sure, If they fit you can leave them in there if you don't mind the smell after a few days.......
  10. agree, a player or coach seeing a sign themselves and relaying it back to other players or coaches isn't cheating. Using cameras, equipment not normally part of the game/field of play or players/coaches not normally on the field to detect and relay signs is cheating. It's always funny that it's the teams that shouldn't need to cheat are the ones that get caught doing it
  11. So Watkins taking home the Top WR of the Preseason also means nothing? Oh wait.............
  12. why? Are they looking to tank another season again for Lucks replacement? I thought they got ride of the addict GM ?
  13. so wait a minute, now Hogan is good? His entire time here people couldn't wait to get rid of him because of how bad he was. Brady throws to him for one season and now we want guys here that compare to him?
  14. complaining about someone using their rights because it doesn't match theirs? I would argue that soldiers go to war to protect others in their country from harm and to allow them to continue to live free and have rights. If they are offended or feel insulted that someone is expressing themselves in a non violent protest, maybe they need to reevaluate they reason they went into the military?
  15. I also love a good Nacho plate but it depends where I go get them from. If I am at a game, I don't mind the regular chips and cheese sauce But If I buy it from a restaurant or bar, they better be made with real cheese and other toppings. There was one time I ordered nachos at a bar/restaurant and they ame out with chips soaked in cheese sauce. I was so disapointed that a bar/restaurant would think of serving them that way..... As for the wing shortage, its funny that they could be talking about a shortage of something that not long ago was considered a garbage piece of the chicken and almost never used or served. Now there is talks of shortages and the cost for it makes it almost the most expensive part of the chicken
  16. I am trying to figure out if the guy on the table was supposed to roll off before being hit, or if he fell off laugh so hard that the guy missed?
  17. Where are you living, Mexico? America doesn't care about a Nacho Shortage!
  18. I definitley think they pick up another WR, they already found a need for adding one that they went out and brought in Boldin, now with him retiring I think they make a move for someone. I don't think they worry about having to use a pick in order to get the right one, because i believe the plan all along is to accumulate picks to make the moves that will help rebuild this team. I don't think they are all being stockpiled to make a move for a QB, and with the amount they have, they could spare one and get someone that may be a bit younger, or better then someone elses cut. I doubt they use a pick to get an older vet on a short term deal though.
  19. I doubt much, Don't think many Hamiltonians are huge American college football fans who loved "Johnny Football" (unlike Floridians who would come out for Tebow if he played for a Florida team) I would bet the majority would laugh about how much of a mess that team became this year and it wouldn't sell much. This is almost matching the mess that the opening of their new stadium almost became............
  20. True, atleast they were able to recoup some assetts for Watkins in getting a decent CB and a pick for him, the Browns basically threw away the pick they used on Johnny and got less out of him then the Bills did of Watkins. And again, with Watkins, had he been able to stay healthy and be able to play regularly, the Bills would have kept him (or atleast been able to get more for him in a trade then they did if they decided he would be to expensive to re-sign........... He wasn't a total waste of a pick...........
  21. What a week for the Ti-Cats its been, first the Briles mess, now its coming out they are desperate enough to consider Manziel?
  22. I believe it's a release, but he can't sign anywhere til after 4 today?
  23. Oh, Ok, thought he was here with Schwartz and one of the reasons they were willing to make the deal to bring him in
  24. It's seeping over into Canada too, some school teachers group are fighting to have our first Prime Minister John A Macdonalds name taken off of all schools and buildings because of his role in some native treaties and genocides I believe.
  25. not when it doesn't fit his belief.
