Disagree, it would be because it would have lead to a Buffalo upset over Carolina..............or atleast put the game into OT if Haush "Carpenters" the Extra Point................. -

Yeah, definitely, you can say that about every incomplete catch in the history of catching a ball, that if the throw was better the catch would have been made The ball, even if it was the worst throw ever in the history of the game, still hit the WR in both his hands and he was unable to make the catch. The reason WRs get paid what they do is because they are expected to catch balls that are within the reach of their hands. Even the greatest QBs don't make ever throw perfect to their WRs, but NFL WRs know that they should be able to catch passes that are within the reach of their arms -

Doesn't even have to be an elite WR, an NFL WR should be expected to catch a ball that hits them in their hands, whether it was a bad through or not. It wasn't a great throw, but not every throw will be, and sometimes NFL WRs are expected to make a catch on bad throws to help out their QB. No one (ok maybe a few) is saying that the drop excuses the offenses previous 59+ minutes of play, or that he "cost us the game", or that he should be cut immediately, but it was a play you should expect your WR to make in a game if you want to be a playoff team. -

Alex Smith is also a former #1 overall pick who has been a starter for almost his entire NFL career, not to defend TT here, but its not a straight comparrison -
Peterman wins the game by the game by 10.

You could probably say the same thing for most teams. Outside of Brady and Bledsoe, how many great QBs have the Patriots had in their existence? -

Might have more to do with the fact that NO ONE has ever seen the kid take a snap in an NFL game that counted for anything........... More like 'The backup QB is always better then whomever is currently the starter'................. -

I see you are new to football and never watched a game before in your life? Beckham has made a career out of boring routine catches that hit him in the numbers, has he ever made a catch that didnt? -

Nope, all the fault of the QB, everyone else played great and Peterson would have hung 60+ points on the Panthers! Obviously you are a TT apologist trying to find excuses for his poor play. How can anyone expect a WR to make a catch on a ball that hits them in the hands? -

Nope, TT is a veteran Qb and all veteran Qbs make perfect throws to their WRs, Jones is a rookie WR and should only be expected to catch balls that hit him in the numbers, not ones that they can get both hands on.......... -

Exactly, Should have been a better throw, but also should have been a catch too, NFL WRs should be expected to haul in a catch that they can get both hands on. Doesn't matter if you like/love/hate/despise TT, no QB makes every throw perfectly, and good WRs are able to make catches on poor throws that are within the reach of their hands. -

Not if TT is the QB, even when the ball hits them in the hands its always his fault because the ball could have always been better. The great Qbs always throw the ball right at the numbers and never need WRs to make catches where the throw is off a bit. Beckham has made a career off of making toutine catches that always hit him in the numbers. has he ever had to make a catch where the throw wasn't perfect? -

Except that it hit him in the hands and he dropped it. NFL WRs make catches like that all the time. Not putting all the blame on Jones, but also not putting all teh blame on TT either. It could have been a better through, but an NFL WR should also be able to make catches on throws that don't have to hit them in the numbers. You think every one of Bradys throws are directly on target to his WRs? If the ball can hit a WR in both hands, they should be able to haul it in -

The chop block one? I agree, if the penalty is one that is put in place because it could be deemed an attempt to injure, it should be tacked on after the play. -

Can they replace him with a tackling dummy? Is there any rule against that? Someone call Bellycheck and see if he knows (since he knows the all obscure rules in the book like the back of his hand) -

No where, but the anti TT crowd need to continue the narrative that there are so many people supporting him around here that they are the oppressed minority around here so they can make themselves feel smarter knowing he isn't good. They also take anyone not putting 150% of the blame in this game on him as being undying supporters of TT TT sucks badly today, but so does Jordan Mills and others on this offence -
Nah, he is done after this year, like he was last year, and the year before that, and the year before that, and the year before that....... To put the Bills game in perspective, Arizona right now is getting beat by the Colts right now, a team most thought was even worse then the jets this year without Luck..........

Kind of like one of them is playing in their 2nd game together under a new scheme/coach/co-ordinator w/ a QB (drafted late int eh draft) who has only been a starter for 3 seasons and the other is an expereinced offence with a veteran QB who was a 1st overall pick. No idea why they would like any different....... -

all TT's fault too! -
It is their league, they are the owners of 'Americas team' & 'Satans Team'........... Jerrys a scumbag, hes just throwing a tantrum cause his new 'Boy Toy' running back is being punished for doing something bad and its going to hurt his team. He would be standing by Roger if this had been someone on any of the other league teams.

cfl has banned contact in practice
apuszczalowski replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no because players should have been taught proper techniques years ago when it came to hitting and tackling. How much of that technique is or was currently being taught at the pro level now during weekly practices where they could have contact? And how many of those players would then use what they learned in game situations? Problem is, in real time most won't think back to how to make the proper hit in a game, they just do what they have to in order to make the play because most coaches aren't going to give you a pat on the back and a "good job" if you miss someone trying to make a textbook tackle....It's funny how so many complain about things like this being changed to make the game and try to cut down on injuries, then complain when a player on their team gets hurt in practice or pre season. So pre season should be cut back or eliminated to reduce people getting hurt, but between games they should be hitting full contact so they don't get hurt during games? -
What's the stupidest thing you ever bought?
apuszczalowski replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall Archives
i bought one of them earlier this year, but its the next model up w/ smoker. I haven't put it together or tried it yet as I haven't had the time since partially finishing my deck. I have the Char Broil Infrared BBQ and it great, never burn anything and food is always really juicy without doing anything to it before. One thing I did just realize/learn is that I used to use the high setting for cleaning to warm it up and burn anything off the grill, but I think it heats the plate (infrared) up too high and it's hard to get any heat lower then around 400 degrees to cook with. I think the plate heats up too much then even the lowest burner setting keeps it from getting cooler. thats what happened to us, a friend recommended it because the first kitten was a jerk after we brought it home. Now he has the other to bug and play with. Hasnt seemed to work the same way with kids though...... only worse would have been buying it new... -
are they standing by her by attempting to remove her from the show? From my understanding the only reason she wasn't taken off was because the other host refused to do the show with anyone else..... It's funny how a country that's so proud of their "right to free speech" get so offended when that right is used but what's said goes against their beliefs This happens with both sides of the political scale you fall under or races. Look at home many 'celebrities' get into trouble cause they say something that's considered offensive but we'll within their right to say because of free speech. And now for the next 3+ years we will continue to hear "Well if this was said about Obama....." to anything said bad against Trump. The only difference seems to be that the BAD things said against Obama where based because of his skin color, or the belief he wasn't 'American', where the bad things said about trump are based off of his actions and what he says/tweets
