  1. With Taron at 190lbs on the field for almost 100% of the defensive snaps next to 2 linebackers who are on the smaller side, we need more size at safety to replace Micah. I’d bring Rapp back who was greatly improved by end of season and I’d also sign a guy like Jeremy Chinn who’s a bigger safety. Then I’d bring in an upper tier 1 tech like DJ Reader. Joseph was good for a couple weeks but had no tread left on the tires. I’m also tired of light in the ass Defensive Ends. They wear down by the end of the year.
  2. Beane’s last 2 draft classes were phenomenal, even with Elam
  3. Mike Evans someway somehow QB Josh, whoever Josh wants; RB Cook, Ty Johnson, 7th rounder, cheap vet; FB cheap vet; TE Kincaid, Knox, Morris WR Evans, Shakir, 1st round WR, Shorter, cheap vet OL everybody back plus late draft pick DL Rousseau, Oliver, Reader, Von, Gross Matos, 2nd rounder, 4th rounder, vet depth, vet depth; LB Bernard, Milano, Williams, Spector, Dodson if he’s cheap; CB Douglass, Benford, Elam, 6th rounder; nickel Taron, Chinn; Safety Poyer, Chinn, 3rd rounder, Rapp if he’s cheap kicker Bass and 6th rounder punter 5th rounder
  4. I hope he gets paid in free agency. He deserves it. Just hope it’s not here. He’s not an electric athlete for a WR and has suspect hands. Small catch radius for a guy who doesn’t separate isn’t a good combo.
  5. we need to get bigger and more aggressive on D. Mcdermott’s defenses get consistently get bullied in the playoffs. Brady brought that change to the offense. Now we need it on the defense. I absolutely loved the physicality Dorian Williams played with on Sunday but he was one of the only ones. Milano and Taron are great players. Poyer and Hyde were great too, but all of them are undersized. We have too many light in the ass players on the defensive side of the ball and it catches up to us in january.
  6. Yep. Josh is a bigger man than me. He should’ve showed Diggs up like Diggs did to Josh in Cincy game.
  7. Nobody is trading for diggs at that contract and Bills would have to take the full $31m dead cap this year. Only choices are keeping him or cut him and spread his dead money over 2024 and 2025.
  8. Mcdermott saved his job the last 2 months. Ask Sirianni how his switch in coordinators went? I wanted Mcdermott gone after the denver game but he showed me a lot since then. This season was by far his best coaching job and deserves another year.
  9. All of those are easy decisions except a couple. I’m not tying myself to Diggs longer than his current contract. I’d bring poyer back at reduced role and money. Knox will take a paycut to stay here. I’m not making any cuts to the O Line. So $70m of that $100m is easy decisions. Diggs and Miller potentially free up cap space in 2024 if you push dead money to 2025. We are in drastically better shape heading into the off-season than it looked like 2 months ago.
  10. Not sure why this off-season will be tough. We went 6-1 down the stretch with a group where only Hyde, epenesa, floyd, and jones are free agents. Young players stepped up all over the roster. We are probably in better shape than every other contender who doesn’t have a QB on a rookie deal.
  11. Knox will take a pay cut. No other team is paying knox more than $5m per year and he loves it here.
  12. I feel way better going into this off-season than last season. Lots of young players stepped up. Will be much easier moving on from the older players.
  13. we scored 24 points against one of the top defenses, controlled the clock, and our WR’s dropped 3 passes that wouldve have all went for at least 40 yards. And our kicker missed a 44 yarder to tie it. And we went 6-0 to finish the season with a mash unit on defense before yesterdays loss. If we don’t offer brady the OC position immediately, mcbeane needs their heads examined.
  14. Round 1 WR, Round 2 DE, Round 3 safety. Sign Jeremy Chinn, DJ Reader and mid level Defensive end in free agency. If Diggs or any of his people open their mouths this off-season, cut him and bring in Hopkins to replace him. I think Miller has a Floyd 2023 season left in him. rousseau, miller, oliver, reader, mid priced DE, round 2 draft pick DE, round 5 one tech on D line. Linebacker is set. CB is set. Hyde, Chinn and round 3 draft pick at safety. O Line is set. TE set. RB set, QB set, Diggs/Shakir/Round 1 WR.
  15. $9m split over 2 years isn’t un-cuttable. That’s like 1.5% of the cap. McBeane will bring in competition and he’ll be cut if he continues to inspire zero confidence.
  16. He a great player, but there’s plenty of good free agent safeties that would be upgrade over Hyde that won’t cost what Winfield will cost. I’d bring back Poyer. Sign a decent free agent like jeremy Chinn and draft a safety in round 3.
  17. I think it’s different because we actually played and coached well and lost to a better team. Plus we completely turned the season around 2 months ago and have a lot to build on going into off-season when it looked like everything was gonna have to be blown up at 6-6.
  18. He’s not done as a player but he’s done as a diva. The offense isn’t a hostage to making him happy anymore and that is a huge positive heading into next season.
  19. Cap hit doesn’t matter when you have kicker you can’t trust. He is either gone or will have competition brought in on a regular basis.
  20. Agreed. In an ideal world he checks down twice, gets the 1st down, the chiefs burn their 2 timeouts and we score a td or kick a field goal with no time left. Hard to fault him for taking that shot to shakir. It was open and you can’t get cute down 3 with a shaky kicker.
  21. all too prescient. now please burn this thread. Bass is done as kicker here. Kickers are too easy to replace now. Understandable mcbeane didn’t wanna do it the last 2 months, but he can’t be brought back.
  22. You can’t go for 4th and 5 from your own 30 with 8 minutes left down 3. Fake punt only real option if you don’t wanna give ball back to mahomes. Hated the result but liked that mcdermott showed some onions there.
  23. yep. Loved him. Always got extra yards and past the sticks. A great #2 RB.
