What is your X-Factor(variable) for the Bills this year?
BuffaloRebound replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDermott. Now or never for him. -
The North Carolina/Belichick Thread 2025
BuffaloRebound replied to eball's topic in College Football
The most concerning thing was his man boobs. Dude looks like Meatloaf from Fight Club. -
Phillips has made more big plays for the Bills than Daquan Jones and Epenesa combined. Could see oliver playing more 1 technique if this is true.
-
He can still blow up a play. Worth it on the 53 man roster.
-
If Beane has to give up a late round pick to dump Samuel’s salary, I think that’s the right move. Then use the $4m in cap savings to sign vet DB or multiple vet DB’s.

Joe Marino’s All 22 from Bucs preseason game
BuffaloRebound replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Walker has ridiculous upside. A man that big that can throw O-Lineman around and move the way he does… some of those plays are Richard Seymour-esque. He might even be bigger than Seymour was. -
Report: Micah Parsons requests a trade
BuffaloRebound replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Bosa stays healthy, we could have a very good pass rush this year. If he was an elite CB I’d be all for sending a couple of 1st’s for him. -
Eric Dickerson Claims Teams Were Told To Not Draft Shedeur Sanders
BuffaloRebound replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
Doubt the NFL is dumb enough to do something like this especially after what happened to an idiot like Gruden who was dumb/smug enough to write dumb-a$$ stuff in email . Could a few scouts or GM’s on different teams who are friendly discussed how entitled Sanders came across in interviews, I could believe that. -
The lack of depth at DB overall is what makes any of these injuries a bigger deal than they are. Sweating injuries to Rapp and Tre sums up the state of the secondary. Hanging onto guys at the bottom of the roster especially on defense who have already showed they’re liabilities is McBeane’s biggest weakness. We should be churning through the bottom of the roster much faster to find guys that might actually help.

If Gabe will only making the vet minimum since Jags are still paying him $11m this year, it’s a no brainer. If you can trade Moore or Samuel or both, then you can sign or trade for a vet safety or DT.

McDermott - "Still looking for that other safety"
BuffaloRebound replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sums it up perfectly. And it’s not just safety where it seems overly complicated. It’s basically the whole defense. Would be nice to have an attacking downhill defense that puts the hurt on the offense than the undersized thinking man’s defense where offenses put the hurt on our defense. -
Amen. You could cut the bottom 50 players from the current 90 man roster and sign waiver wire guys and it might actually improve the roster.

Does there need to be a rethinking of the basic D?
BuffaloRebound replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Same chicken-$h!t un-aggressive defense that values guys being in the right spot instead of beating the guy across from them and actually making a play. Andreesen, Hamlin, Codrington, and Dane Jackson have no business ever playing a meaningful regular season down. Beane should be scouring the waiver wire and trade market to improve the last 5-6 spots on the defense or we’ll be looking at another year of the levi wallace’s, AJ Klein’s, and Damar Hamlins getting exposed in the playoffs. -
If you are cutting Hamlin, do it now...
BuffaloRebound replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hamlin is the Safety version of Levi Wallace. Half-a$$ attempts by McBeane to replace him and after Bishop’s development has been slowed by injuries here we are again staring at Hamlin starting opening day. -
Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season Game 2
BuffaloRebound replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. I actually thought Jackson showed some glimpses last night. He was getting a good pop on the Tackle on most downs. If he ever learns how to disengage, you might have a good starter. -
This needs to be revisited after tonight. Vandemark and Moore didnt help themselves. Shavers continues to play well and Shenault continues to be by far our best kick returner. On defense Andreessen, Dane Jackson. Bishop. and Hamlin were really bad. I’d be scouring the waiver wires if I were McBeane. The bottom 10-15 guys on the 53 man roster as of now are pretty bad.

BuffaloRebound replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ll give the rookies a pass. Hamlin, Bishop, Dane Jackson, Codrington, and Buffalo Joe were horrendous. If any of those guys play meaningful snaps on defense, we aren’t sniffing a Super Bowl no matter how good the offense is. -

On a positive note, McBeane got to see what these backups look like against NFL starters in a game. There’s no excuses now to keep the majority of these guys around especially the ones who aren’t rookies. In the past, they wouldn’t find this out until they were forced to put these guys in big spots after an injury to a starter. -

Bosa looks like he might be capable of an All Pro season. Rousseau might take the next step and Oliver is due for a rebound season, but the secondary is a major concern. Hairston needs to be a difference maker by the end of the season. Tre can’t stay with good WR’s. Benford is good but thats about it back there. Rapp can be an adequate starter but it’s time to consider acquiring a vet safety. -

Davis has looked bad the past 2 preseason games. No juice. -

We better hope Bosa, Rousseau, Oliver, Milano and Benford all play at a pro bowl level and don’t get hurt because the depth on defense is brutal and the system itself is suspect. -

Solomon, Dorian, and Hancock the only guys on D that look playable.
