With the Hoecht injury, Beane now has to go get a pass rusher. A healthy Palmer will need to be the answer at WR.

I don’t know. I think tomlin wins a super bowl by now with josh allen. Certainly makes one. Different expectations when you have an MVP quarterback. Steelers QB play has been trash the past 8-9 years. Tomlin would be a much hotter commodity if both him and mcdermott were let go.

At a minumum we need a WR that can get open 15-20 yards down the field. We are way too 1 dimensional on offense. Cook is awesome and the short passing game is effective, but good teams will take that away. Right now we have no counterpunch to that.

We need bodies at DT so i’d hope ogunjobi can help. More excited about Hoecht. Hopefully he can be a Lorax type chess piece in this defense that allows us to play bigger in the front 7.

Win the turnover battle, control the clock on offense with a lot of low risk plays, and hope the defense makes a couple stops while not letting offenses throw over the top. Win a weak division, win a home playoff game against a weak wild card team, then lose in the 2nd round unless we’re playing lamar.

Agreed. Gotta see what Hairston can do and Poyer can’t be any worse than Rapp. Coleman has shown he aint ready and there’s no WR currently on the roster thats moving the needle.

Every GM has whiffs. Bosa was one of best pickups across the League this year. Walker in the 4th round. Benford in the 6th. Spencer Brown in the 3rd round. The interior of our O Line was all brought in the last couple of years. Even when we supposedly had good defenses, they completely folded every year in the playoffs. Not to mention McDermott is a net negative at the end of close games. I’d rank Beane as top 8 GM. I’d put McDermott as a top 12-15 coach. If I’m Pegula, I’m keeping 1 of them unless I can get a McVey and I’d lean Beane because I believe you’re never getting to a Suoer Bowl with McDermott.

I think Beane is better at his job than McDermott is at his.

Every game is a tough game for this defense except for the Jets. Soft unit that can’t cover anybody and can’t stop the run.

Agreed. Feels different this year. The back 7 on defense is bottom of the League and our passing game scares no one. McDermott has turned seasons around in the past in 2021 and 2023 when things looked bleak but this truly feels like it could be the end of the line.

The draft is a crap shoot. I don’t have a problem with Beane’s drafting. The problem has always been mcdermott’s defense folds like a cheap suit when it matters and he’s not a good decision maker in the heat of battle. Beane has given McDermott everything he’s needed on both sides of the ball within the restrictions of the salary cap. Pegula isn’t a meddling owner and writes every check they want. McDermott’s time is up.

How is miami eating $25m of dead cap trading waddle when they’re currently $1m under the cap? Can the dead money all be pushed to 2026? Otherwise no idea how’s miami trade waddle to anybody much less a divisional foe.

Agreed. Bills don’t have the time to waste on Coleman right now while he figures it out. He’s a better fit for a team like New Orleans that’s a few years away.
