Yes please. It would be more expensive in draft capital to go up for one of the top WR’s than it would for Aiyuk. Not interested in the Jalen Reagor/Justin Jefferson roulette game when it comes to drafting WR’s in that range.

Pretty sure if we traded Diggs after June 1st we could’ve split that $31m dead cap between 2024 and 2025.

The timing makes no sense for the Bills unless we’re accumulating trade capital. On its own, we’re getting a 2025 2nd rounder and have to take the full Diggs cap hit this year. Might as well wait to trade him after June 1st if you’re only getting a 2025 pick anyway.

Find it kinda interesting the Giants and Daboll werent willing to give up a 2025 2nd rounder for Diggs.

Bears only have 4 picks in 2024 draft. High probability one of the top 3 WR’s is there at pick 9.

I don’t think Rapp or Edwards is stopping McBeane from taking a safety they like high in the draft and DeJean checks all the boxes on what they look for in a DB - versatile, smart, playmaker.

I’m thinking the same thing. If we don’t trade up for a WR and Dejean is there at 28, he will 100% be the pick.

This. No way I’m trading a 1st to move up 10 spots for the 4th or 5th best WR in a deep WR class. If it’s for one of the top 3, who all seem to be graded as studs, then I’d think about it.

Agreed. For some there’s always something to worry about. A couple mid-30 year old safeties, one who signed for a 1 year $2m deal and the other who’d probably be lucky to get that doesn’t register high on the list. Replacing Floyd’s production seems like more legitimate gripe but he seemed to really tail off at end of year after he blew the Denver game. Even though Morse was getting up there in age, any time you re-shuffle an O-Line that was playing well is a concern and Morse did get scooped up right away for decent money. Gonna have to just trust McBeane on that one.

Not seeing how the defense lost a lot of talent. It lost Floyd but not outrageous to think Von another year removed from ACL surgery can replace his production. Can’t imagine Austin Johnson will be worse than Settle or Poona Ford. Milano is back. Poyer and Hyde are gone but Edwards is probably an upgrade. The defense is most likely better this year.

This is kinda making the case for trading up more than back. Beane has nicely re-tooled the roster depth. Now we need difference makers and starters along the lines of the Kincaid and Torrence picks. We have enough 4th, 5th, and 6th rounders to take a shot on some diamonds in the rough. Trade up in 1st with one of our 4th’s for brst D-Lineman and WR then do same in 2nd round with our other 4th or a 3rd next year.

I’d say probably yes. And with Josh as your QB, the answer would’ve been definitely yes.

Diggs knows exactly what he’s doing with the social media BS. Basically daring McBeane to cut or trade him before his 2024 salary becomes guaranteed tomorrow. If it actually happens, he can say he wanted it too

Josh Allen is our QB. Stop rolling with the Harty’s, Sherfield’s, Mick Collins’s, and Shorter’s of the world as your 4th and 5th Wide outs. A more talented guy who hasn’t gotten deal he wants in free agency will take a 1 year incentive laden deal to be WR 3 or 4 for a shot to play with Allen. To heck with playing the comp pick game. How’d that turn out this year? Beane did everything to protect that 3rd rounder and we’re stuck with Sherfield dropping passes in playoff games.

If Beane is loading up on guys like Hollins, Morrow, and Cam Lewis, please bring back Ty Johnson a dude who actually helped us win games at the end of the year.

This is exactly the type of guy who might come here on a 1 year incentive laden deal.
