  1. Those are heights are close enough to what they’d be in shoes/cleats. Worthy and Franklins weights more concerning.
  2. This is a great point. In addition, with all the QB injuries the competition committee is talking about altering grounding rules to allow QB’s to throw it away even when they’re in the pocket. That would make high sack edge rushers less valuable.
  3. Agreed. Weight is a legit concern but dude is a unicorn. You don’t see guys that big who move that well. And it’s not just about straight line speed like Jordan Davis from Georgia. Sweat is a good athlete that makes plays.
  4. Agreed. I’d rather draft one early and sign a vet to a 1 year deal who’s been the dude before like OBJ or Mike Williams than pay $8-10m a year for another mediocre guy like Gabe.
  5. Surprised OBJ hasn’t appeared on anybody’s list. He’d probably come cheap on a 1 year deal and probably still has something left as a deep ball threat.
  6. Acquiring team would owe Mack $23m. That’s steep for a 33 year old. 6 of his 17 sacks came in 1 game. I’d think he’s looking more at a 1 year Leonard Floyd deal than anybody paying $23m for 1 year.
  7. Get me a nasty 1 tech. They aren’t expensive relative to other positions. Cut Miller and use that $6.5m to bring in Kahlil Mack on a 1 year deal once Chargers cut him. Move Rasul to safety and bring back Rapp or hard hitting safety on similar 1 year deal to Rapp last year. Sign Mike Williams to 1 year prove it deal once chargers cut him. Bring back Ty Johnson at RB and draft a late round RB. Spend on a 1 Tech (Reader if he’s healthy) and bargain shop on everything else.
  8. Would Von get a 1 year $6.5m (guaranteed) deal? I say no especially to the guaranteed part. He was that bad last season and is another year older. He’s strictly a pass rusher that can’t get near the QB. I’m not guaranteeing another $6.5m to him. If I bring him back, his money would all be incentive based.
  9. If Beane continues paying Von and Tre millions of dollars when he no longer has to and cuts Douglas, he deserves to be fired. Would Von or Tre get much more than a vet minimum deal right now if they got cut?
  10. Agreed. We won 6 games in row including a playoff game and took KC to the brink with no or minimal contributions from Tre, Milano, Von, and Knox… 4 of our 7 highest cap hits. I will be disappointed if Beane doesn’t use the next 3 weeks to clean up the cap.
  11. Yet we were still the 2 seed the last 2 years. The problem is if these bad contracts aren’t addressed properly going forward. Beane was just handed a giant gift with the huge cap increase this year and going forward.
  12. I don’t know. Seemed like Bills had to coax Tre back on field after the ACL injury. Add the achilles tear and there’s no way I’m guaranteeing him any new money. We all love Tre but it’s time to move on.
  13. Tasker isn’t wrong. Elam has more upside at corner and I think Douglas would be a pro bowl safety. He’s a ball hawk that likes to hit.
  14. Exactly. Cut the non-performing contracts and split it over the next 2 years. This is a gift to McBeane. Do not pay Miller another penny. Same with Tre.
  15. So you’re good paying another $6.5m to Miller in a month when he couldn’t beat out Kingsley Jonathan for snaps? Take the gift of the extra $13m in cap this year and 13.5% that it’s most likely increasing every year after and be done with Miller. Same with Tre. Take the medicine and move on.
  16. There are always guys in free agency that don’t get what they think they’re worth in the first couple waves of free agency and decide a 1 year $6m deal with a Josh Allen throwing to them is their best bet.
  17. https://www.spotrac.com/news/whats-next-buffalo-bills-2199/ I wouldn’t deal Bates and there’s no way I’m paying Miller the $6.5 that’s due in March.
  18. Agree with this. We won’t be shopping in the 1st or even 2nd wave of free agency for WR but if we don’t get a 1st round WR, I think we’d be a popular destination for a free agent WR on a 1 year deal that didn’t get the money they wanted in the 1st and 2nd wave of free agency.
  19. I wonder where Diggs falls on that list?
  20. Kind of amazing that we won 6 games in a row at end of year and got 2 seed when you look at our cap. Miller and Tre are done, Milano 2nd major injury of his 6 year career, Knox is now a nice #2 Tight End, and Diggs was playing like #2 WR second half of year. 5 of our top 7 cap hits are either non-producing or under-performing their contracts.
  21. The gift that keeps giving. He’s due $5m roster bonus in march that’s guaranteed. Paying him $10m this year to be a glorified Quentin Morris.
  22. pass on Jones. 32 year old who missed 10 games last year. No thanks unless it’s close to vet minimum.
  23. 3 to 1 odds equates to 75% chance he’s a Bill this year. Seems right.
  24. Diggs has zero guaranteed money left on his contract, so if we cut him before March 17th Bills don’t owe him another penny. It’s just a matter of accounting for the $31m in remaining bonus and restructuring cap charges. That’s not real money. It’s already been paid.
