Because of the time difference, I watch the games on (my) Monday evening after work. (NFL GamePass.) It's a great time for a game, but it's a pain having to avoid finding out if they won or lost that entire day. Let's go Buffalo!

Man, I'm reading through these threads and all I can think about is, "what the F is going on up in America".

The method of protest that they have chosen? They chose this type of protest because it was the type of protest that Trump was directly commenting on. I don't know if this post is serious or not. I'm assuming not. That said, my parents escaped from East Germany in the 50's to gain the freedoms that they didn't have there. They left behind everything to be free. Friends, family and all worldly possessions. I visited my extended family in East Germany numerous times and was aghast to see what it's like for people who have no freedoms. Being able to protest against an a-hole president is something that all Americans should be proud of and hold dear, even if you don't agree with them.

Yesterdays protest was directly towards idiot Trump to STFU.

I agree with Hughes 100% on this one. The players, coaches and owners met to talk over the issue and became united. Perhaps they weren't united in if/why/how they should protest or not, but they were united as a team in respecting each others opinion. Then you have Jimbo come in and directly undermine the show of unity. What a jerk.

+1 For what it's worth, there is nothing like that here in New Zealand. If it's a game against an international opponent, then both of the national anthems are played and that's it.

What an embarrassing hot sticking mess. Everyone is offended by everything in the Land of the free, Home of the brave. Since I'm on the other side of the world (Thank God), can someone enlighten me please. I understand how and why these protests began last year, with Keapernick, but... weren't most of yesterdays protests directed more at Trump?
