  1. I think saying we stole him, implies that we somehow fooled him into this contract. I personally believe that he consciously wanted to make sure we could afford to put the necessary pieces around him to have a larger window of opportunity.
  2. I am happy that teams are not feeling pressured to match the ridiculous contract that Cleveland gave the serial molester. The Ravens will eventually end up having to give Lamar WAY more guaranteed money than they are comfortable with. His style of play does not seem conducive to long term sustainability. When his body starts to wear down, he will be impacted more than most. (but I sure he will be able to give them a few good years first)
  3. Yeah. We hid Da’Rick Rogers too, but then we forgot where we put him.
  4. Actually, I get it. My wife has told me multiple times that there is no way we will ever move back to Buffalo. I will get her to change her mind eventually. I would love to go back to Buffalo seasonally if at all possible. (as in leave in October or so, and return in April or so)
  5. Damn, that means they have to be signed to the 53 man roster, right?
  6. Statistically speaking, that is not actually true. The most accurate measurement to determine punt distance (purely from a statistical perspective) is Avg. punt distance. Other factors contribute to the net yardage stat, such as the punt coverage team may play better at home, and get to the ball quicker. All of that being said, I like Martin and will be happy if we sign him. Either way, he's got a good leg. and hopefully he is a competent holder.
  7. Yeah, but not by much. 43.2 vs. 42.6. Last year, his avg punt was 47.0 at home, vs 44.6 and his long at home was 68 yards, vs. 59 on the road. Those are not MAJOR differences, and may be common amongst all punters home vs away, but not they are enough to think he might get a bit of an altitude boost. Split stats on this link: https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/splits/_/id/15928/sam-martin
  8. I have not seen the breakdown for home vs away games for him, but it would be interesting to see.
  9. Scrimmage yards? Absolutely. Rushing yards? I believe it is possible, because I believe we will be running the ball more than we did last year, but it will be close.
  10. Stevenson will be on IR after 24 on the active roster. Or receive an injury settlement.
  11. Isn't our bye week 7? I think his return date might be affected by how the young CB's play. If they are playing well, and we are winning games, they will bring Tre back as slowly as needed.
  12. Hell no! Now Darnold is a different story. He could become Josh's mascot at some point, like Matt Barkley. Someone else to entertain Josh in the QB room.
  13. Rosen is getting closer everyday, to making good on his promise that 9 teams would regret his being drafted. That being said, I have the perfect next stop for him. The Carolina Panthers MUST pick him up, so they can have Baker, Darnold and Rosen all on the team at the same time. Someone has to be signed, while Darnold recovers, please have it be Rosen. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/browns-cutting-former-top-10-draft-pick-josh-rosen-as-they-trim-roster-to-53-players/
  14. Somebody get the waterslide ready.
  15. No. I am very sold on him and can't wait to see him in action. My friends who are Dawgs fans, have nothing but great things to say about him, and several of them are joining Bills Mafia, just because he is here.
  16. That is definitely choosing the evil you know. At least he knows what he is facing in San Fran, he could have easily landed in a much worse situation, and he did not want to take that chance.
  17. They still let em play against the other teams 3rd string during the regular season though, right?
  18. Better than Kelce’s segment. Most of the comments were from his brother. 😛
  19. IF they are going to extend him already, then I agree, this would be great timing. But, if they are still unsure, then the good PR is not worth taking the risk.
  20. The team investigated this. They are not basing it off of the accusation alone. But they are not burdened with the requirement of “beyond a reasonable doubt”. If they think there is even a chance that it is true, they are smart to move on.
  21. Too much riding on this season. They did not see enough there to die on that hill for him. If there is enough evidence there to believe he is likely guilty, why stake your reputation to support him, and potentially sidetrack a championship season?
  22. I am sure Josh Allen would bomb the ball if he practiced for a few weeks. Barkley may be able to as well.
  23. Bored. Our new punter will be bored. (hopefully)
