Giants and Barkley agree on a 1-year 11M deal
C.Biscuit97 replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Except none of this true. Not a single team worries about Jones. It starts and ends Barkley. It literally was the first non losing season of Jones’ career. He killed then with turnovers. In todays nfl, having 15 td passes as a full time starter is awful. It was bad in the 90s. It is horrible now. The best thing about Jones last year is he didn’t murder them with turnovers. He was essentially Tyrod on the Bills playoff team. your argument is the exact reasons why, besides the top guys, qb “wins” might be the dumbest stat in sports. According to this logic, the Ravens won because of dilfer and the Chiefs were dumb for drafting Mahomes because Smith “won.” -

You can easily replace Daniel Jones and his average seasons of 18 tds (passing & rushing), 8.5 ints, and 10.5 fumbles. zero issue with Mahomes and Allen getting paid what they do. They are worth every penny. But there is an major issue with Barkley, far away their best offensive player, getting almost 4 times less than a scrub like Jones. -

Fans love calling players names based on anonymous reports. Can’t believe some players get mad at fans! There’s truth in this but what about Brady then and all the 1st round bust qbs? -
This, on paper, is the best AFC East I can ever remember. There was always only one and occasionally 2 teams that were good. I think the Pats are only team that would shock me if they won the division, and they have a top 5ish defense and a good running game. the bills are still by far the favorites. But I can see the bills with a worse record being a better team than they were last year because we don’t have 5 guaranteed wins this year.

If they touch the ball too much, teams will be afraid to pay them because they had “too many Carrie’s.” If they touch the ball enough, they won’t get paid big money because they didn’t “carry the load.”

Agree with this. The Raiders’ offense is vastly superior to the Giants. Jacobs also seems like the type of back he will age poorly.

I really didn’t get the contract in the first place but that is awful for Hines. He’s going to have a time coming back from this. Wish him the best.

Honestly, good for Chad for sticking with it and finding success. However, he will be 30, has been kicked off almost every team he has been on, and is one of the dumbest people on the planet. but he hasn’t fought a teacher, had a temper tantrum and kicked footballs, tried to fight high schoolers, get attacked by vacuums, or threaten to shoot up a bar with an AK 47 in a while, so good on him. I can’t believe there are still RJ fans. It’s like flat earthers. Even though it means you’re insane for believing it’s flat, there are still people crazy enough to believe it. -

If I was Barkley, every time I look at Jones, I’m sick. It will be real interesting to see how many times he runs out of bounds or goes to the ground before contact. I think the Giants were complete flukes last year and they are going to regress big time this year. Will be real interesting to see Barkley (who by all accounts is a really good dude) lays it on the line. In the nfl for money, especially RBs, you need to be selfish. -
For those still upset we didn’t trade up for Jordan Addison…

Will Rising get drafted before the 7th? He’s a good college qb but that’s really all I see with him. He has nothing close to nfl caliber. Plus, he will be 25 at next years draft. He’s a qb so they get overdrafted but I think he will have a hard time sticking in the league. I really really liked both TEs. I think Mayer will be Witten 2.0 for Dallas. But I single handedly saw DK won games in college. I think his upside with Allen is tremendous. He has a chance to be one of the top pass catching “TEs” in football though he will struggle if he has to be more of a traditional one at this point. -
Bill, he was a top prospect who struggled at Bama. He then was the runner up as for the Heisman and nfl mvp. Maybe the guy is turning into the top prospect in the country he always was. as for the sec vs Big 12 thing, I’d take Oklahoma qbs all day over Bamas. as a skeptic of Allen, bringing up his college passing % at this point would be insanely idiotic. After like 3 years, it might be time to turn the page of Hurts career at Bama when he was 19, which was so bad!!! He won sec player of the year! Maybe the guy who is constantly on winning teams, finishing 1st or 2nd for major awards might just be really good.

Wisconsin blog speculating about AJ Dillon and the Bills
C.Biscuit97 replied to machine gun kelly's topic in The Stadium Wall
You sensitive baby. It was a general comment about how things when things make too much sense in the nfl, they never happen. Our rbs are fine but Cook has never had a lot of Carries, Harris is one dimensional, and Hines is a gadget guy. Dillion in this team would be a monster and GB could move him since they have Jones. Stop making up outrage. also, you are completely wrong about the FO not investing draft capital in rbs. They invest fairly him picks in rbs in back to back year and spend good FA money on Hines/ Harris. So you are 100% wrong. dillion would probably cost less in a trade than Singletary or Cook and is the much better all around back. I like the players individually but I do think it makes the offense somewhat predictable. The best case is Cook becomes the main guy because he is the most versatile. but in a perfect world, after investing high picks on 2 rbs, it would be nice to have a guy and then the change of pace/ backup types. -
Fair points but Joe Burrow threw for less yards and more ints than tds, scoring less points (with better receivers imo) against the same cbs in the afc title game. Hurts outplayed the best qb in football in the SB He definitely needs to prove it again but based on how he has improved every year, I have no reason to doubt him. Bills fans get mad that Josh Allen doesn’t get enough credit so they just trash every other young qb. It’s weird.
-
I can definitely see the Bengals taking a step back because that division is going to be a female dog. I also would hammered the over 8 wins for the Jets. And as much as I want home field advantage, with how the Bills play, is it really that much of an advantage? We aren’t a great running team, have a smallish defense, and fast receivers. It might be an advantage to play on the road 😛

Matt Milano top rated pursuit LB in Madden 24
C.Biscuit97 replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Milano is really, really good. But I think Bills fans have lost their minds on Edmunds. Obviously, we weren’t matching that contract but it’s wild to act like the guy was some bum and didn’t help this defense. He’s one of the better pass coverage MLBs in football and for as terrible as he was (I know you aren’t saying that but some act like it), we had top 3 defenses consistently while he was here. MLBs deserve a bunch of credit for that. I think Bills fans are going to be in for a bit of an awakening if this defense slips this year. I think the pass defense should be really good but it will be how we hold up against the run with what has to be one of the smallest groups of LBs in the nfl. -

I like cook and Harris but I’ll be honest, I’m so sick of this committee approach to rb. I want to have a 3 down rb. Dillion would be a monster next to Allen. And it makes a ton of sense for GB to get valid for him before it completely tanks. but since it makes sense, it won’t happen. -
I really like Herbert but the hype went crazy. He might be the least criticized qb in the nfl. If Hurts or a lot of qbs collapsed like the Chargers did in their playoff game, they would be ripped apart all off-season. chargers have a long history of big stat qbs which really amounts to nothing. Herbert is good but he gets way too much of a pass (qb pun 😉).
-
Also, the eagles were one of the gray first half teams of all time. They would jump out to huge leads and just run the ball in the second half. Hurts didn’t get s chance to stay pad like some do. Allen is obviously the better and more established qb but Hurts reminds me so much of him, though they came into college with much different hype. Both doubted a ton, even by their own fanbases, and have made themselves into legit top 5ish nfl qbs. They both deserve a ton of credit.
-
So was Josh Allen. Hurts was like the number 1 recruit in the country. So his talent has been known. dude got benched for Tua and a lot of guys would sulk and blame other people. He was a great teammate, helped them win a championship, and nearly won at a Heisman at Oklahoma. every thing you hear about him is how great of guy he is and how hard of a worker. He has gotten better ever year. He is so much like Allen, it’s scary. The Eagles would also kill teams by halftime so his stats could have been even better. In the garbage nfc, the Eagles have as good of shot to win the SB as any team in the nfl and hurts is a major reason why. Why are so hung up on the Alabama thing? He transferred, completed nearly 70% of his passes, and had 32 tds at Oklahoma. How were Joe Burrows stats at Ohio State before he played with one of the greatest receiver groups in college football history at LSU? some guys just get better.

Jets are releasing WR Denzel Mims if they can't trade him.
C.Biscuit97 replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
The release if we can’t trade him are hilarious. On paper, seems like a great guy to kick the tires on. But the. You release Baylor receivers never really learned route trees and played in a gimmick system. minus Garret Wilson (who’s a stud), Jets are almost as bad as the Pats at finishing wrs -
