Total speculation based on nothing haha. But I know he’s from Tampa and I just get the Beach bro vibe with him and that if he gets a better opportunity, especially in certain markets, he’s out. I could be completely wrong haha and he is a straight up playmaker so I definitely enjoy having him on the squad and he was an amazing draft pick.

He strikes me as the guy who has no loyalty to the Buffalo. Given his ability to stay healthy, he probably should maximize his chance for a payday. For some reason, I can see his career being Kiko like. Playmaker who isn’t big enough, gets hurt and bounces around. Get your money Matt.

I don’t really disagree but he had a comeback against the second ranked defense in the nfl that year and was playing his best football before he got hurt in Cleveland. I also think Marrone is a terrible offensive coach. that said, I couldn’t imagine EJ ever putting up numbers like Allen is doing now. It’s insane the jump he has.

This is one of those for discussion posts. 😉 EJ and Allen had very similar passing rookie years (in fact EJ had a better completion %, td to int, qb rating). EJ got benched 4 games into his 2nd year for a coward who actively tries not to get hurt. But Marrone and Hackett (who was never a nfl OC and was both EJ’s OC and qb coach) made sure it won’t happen. His development sucked. And bad teams have a history of doing this. It’s what Washington and Cleveland and the Jets do. The Bills made a ton of questionable decisions for Allen’s rookie year but they stayed with the guys through ups and downs. A team like the Washington R words bench him after the first NE game last year because they are a joke franchise. side note, EJ was too nice and played like a robot. I wish he played the way Allen did because on paper, he had all the tools. For better or worse, Allen lays it all out.

The guy is a baller but this is why you let him walk unless he takes a massive “hometown discount” (which he shouldn’t).

Oh for sure and I wasn’t advocating for Sanu. Just more that depth can change at any given moment especially this year.

On one hand, it will be super impressive to win through such a crazy season and you shouldn’t have to make excuses for winning. On the other hand, are people really weighing these titles the same? The Seattle Storm won the WNBA title last night and I haven’t seen one post about it!

More qbs are ruined than developed. this is why some franchises are a joke. Haskins might not be the good but they are basically insuring he won’t be. Their offense is a joke minus one player (Gibson has done some nice things as well). And you bench him after possibly his best start? Joke city. For Kyle Allen??? i definitely had doubts about Allen but at no point would I have wanted him bench for some backup with zero upside. Moves like this make me proud that we finally have a well run franchises. They stuck with their guy through some rough moments and it’s more than paying off now. It’s crazy (and not going to jinx it) but we have a model franchise. Crazy times, 2020.
