I think a lot of teams are going to get fooled into paying non elite guys elite money. This is like the PED era for baseball right now for qbs and wrs. I think the playoffs become more old school in what they call.

There are definitely a lot of good young qbs but it is a product of the rules. Herbert threw for 300 yards in his first nfl start with zero notice. This would have never Happened before. It has never been easier to be a nfl qb. Why? I seriously doubted him but he has consistently improved and opened the season beating the SB champs on the road. hes a little person but he is a damn good qb.

Disagree. I mean they might suck but those two have played in absolute dumpster fire situations. No young qbs would succeed in those situations. A team like the Steelers should try to steal Darnold after the season.

This happens all the time. I remember in college, I hurt my hip in practice, barely could run, and they gave me a shot so I could play in the game and I couldn’t feel a thing. It’s a really shady business but players know the risk. For Tyrod, if he doesn’t play, he loses his starting job. Players face this every game.

Wasn’t that guy the former Chargers doctor who was accused of some shady stuff himself? and I think there might be no team that has more injuries than the Chargers. It’s always something weird with that team.

Diggs had a little AB last year. But I think he will be on his best behavior and I can see him asking for a new deal after the season. Especially if he keeps at this pace.

While I wasn’t a big TT fan, I respected him for being decent enough. Yet, we have fans put up threads trashing a player who is a pretty good dude by all accounts. players don’t owe the team or fans anything except playing hard in games.

His wife is a billionaire. I also won’t doubt there isn’t some shady deals under the table. and don’t get me wrong. I hope you are right. But if I was Allen’s agent or family, I think he would be a fool to settle for less money if he proves to be a franchise type qb.

I would bet Tre has some regrets about that contract. Both Tre and Josh seem like great dudes. But why would accept significantly less money than you are able to get? the nfl is a dirty business with non guaranteed. The second both slip, fans will turn on them. Look at Saquon. Blows out his knee before his first big payday. Given his position, he might be severely challenged in getting a big deal now. Football players should get every penny they can, especially when they have leverage. There is no loyalty from teams, so why should players have it?

Being a team first guy in the nfl is really stupid. Like really stupid. Like if his play falls off or he gets hurt, what does being a team first guy get you? It’s a business, not high school sports. I mean obviously if he continues at close to this level, he will get paid a ton. But it’s a long season and as others have said, these qb deals severely hurt your roster building. So play out the season and go from there.

I think bashing the MVP of the league is kinda strange. If Allen was the MVP last year, I won’t find ways to discount his accomplishments. personally, I like every qbs being good. It’s better for the league. I hate seeing scrubs like Jeff Driskel play. I miss the days of every week it was a matchup against a really good qb.

I would put Miami second last. I would have the Jags but I think they have seen sneaky talent and GM is a baller. Splitting hairs. I also think the Steelers are going to be awesome as Ben gets more reps. It might be the best defense he has ever had and they are loaded at receiver.
