  1. Yep, this time we had exactly what we wanted. Home crowd behind them, Ball on the 27, Two minutes remaining, 2nd down and 9. This part wasn’t about Mahomes magic or anything. This should have been get the 9 yards, get the first down, milk the clock down as far as you could giving proper chance to get the late TD. If a FG was needed it should have been from closer in and with virtually no time left to ensure OT. It was a weird moment but the time on the clock was more important than getting a TD with basically two mins remaining. That would’ve given KC a great chance to go down against the depleted D and win at the end in even more heart breaking fashion.
  2. When Butker kicks it seemed like a heavy ball that powers through. When Bass kicks it’s like a wiffle ball in the wind. ugh. Agreed, we are a dome team as assembled. Can’t kick in the elements or track downfield passes properly and catch the ball.
  3. The Chiefs are the same as how I viewed the Patriots. The damage is done. They cannot do anything else to impress anyone more than they already have. If they get 3, 4, 5 Lombardi's? It doesn't even matter anymore. So if they get another I don't care one iota. The Ravens already have a couple SB's as well, so another isn't going to elevate them in my eyes. They are already in the exclusive club, twice. But it would be kind of annoying if Lamar gets one. So for the AFC, I'm just going to enjoy watching one of these fan bases go home sad and depressed. That will make me happy. I like the Detroit story a lot, but i would be a little jealous if they get the trophy in their first great season. That would be like Allen getting it the season a few years ago when we lost at KC in the AFC Championship. But I would be happy for Detroit even though they have Championships in other sports. San Francisco has plenty of Lombardi's on the mantle. One more wouldn't bother me or affect me whatsoever.
  4. Mentally, Josh probably needs to get away from the game. My gosh, did he account for 50 TDs again? I think he’s the first QB to do that and not make a SB. And he’s done it twice! while playing some golf in the offseason.
  5. Also incredible stat, Ed Oliver did not record a QB pressure for the first time in 2 years. KC only had 2 penalties in our legendary home field advantage
  6. If the Bills are the Dolphins of the 90's I have another comparison. Josh Allen is Karl Malone of the NBA. Dude is a Hall of Famer, and made the playoffs every season i think. He would have at least a couple Championship rings, but alas, he had to run into Michael Jordan in the finals. Mahomes is our Jordan. Malone ended his career with no rings.
  7. Homefield is nice against Mason Rudolph, Mac Jones, Skyler Thompson, etc.. It's not nice vs excellent QBs like Mahomes and Burrow.
  8. We had to wait 18 years or so for Brady to age out, we only have to wait another 8-10 for Mahomes, Burrow to age out. It's all good in Buffalo.
  9. Yeah i don't need perfection but there are plenty of occasions when he has a clean pocket and his eyes are a bit slow to react or he hesitates on his decision. These result in those 2 yard completions sideways, or slinging the ball over someone's head out of bounds. I dunno, the OC scheming up those Detroit Lions, Goff passes are getting dudes wide open in the middle of the field. We don't ever see that.
  10. At some point, Allen's running will slow down. He can't keep getting smashed game in and game out in the regular season. My question, can he be a good pocket QB? I struggle with this because I love when he scrambles around and creates stuff off script (throwing or running). When he stands in the pocket sometimes he is slow to read and release or throws an inaccurate series of passes. He's the entirety of the Buffalo Bills offense. I want the guy to have an extended career even after the running slows up.
  11. I wasn't referring to separation. I was saying that Gabe is the best at tracking the ball on deep passes. We missed that. Sherfield had to dive to catch a pass that if tracked properly he catches in stride and running.
  12. The fake punt was so dumb I actually LOL'd in my family room watching it. I can see a 4th and 1, maybe? But he had so far to run. It's almost like McD or whoever called it wanted to create a Damar Hamlin moment to show on the ESPY's as the Bills use the fake punt to win the game and go on to win the SB. I hated it, and was so happy that we got the touchback and didn't have to point to that play as the reason we lost.
  13. KC gets bored in the grind of the regular season and loses concentration. Even before the playoffs Mahomes and Kelce said you'll see a different team. And we did. Kansas City didn't blink. Buffalo did.
  14. Such a bummer when i get yearly postgame texts from friends and people i speak to once a year who aren't Bills fans... yet they say how sorry they are and try to console me. They often wonder how our fanbase can go on with so many heartbreakers. That's sports. Fans of Baltimore, KC, San Fran and Detroit all think they are a team of destiny right now, yet only 1 will win. It's just so difficult to claim the prize.
  15. Unpopular take but I'm not cutting Bass unless Beane has some trick up his sleeve. He will end up going somewhere and being successful. We will be disappointed by a string of recycled kickers who consistently fail.
  16. We had a few chunk plays completely botched by Sherfield and Diggs. Just a bad night for that to happen.
  17. Pacheco was huge and didn't play in the regular season matchup. Plus Mahomes is obviously a GREAT QB, throws on point and the receivers caught everything last night. AT one point they had 8 chunk plays to our zero. KC's defense, while solid, got pushed around last night but they got some stops when needed. And lucky with the Bass miss which may have only prolonged our agony another couple mins.
  18. So tired of hearing about the Mafia, our weather advantage, crowd noise, blah blah blah. KC was not affected whatsoever and had zero false starts i think. The *only* reason Buffalo is a dangerous playoff team is Josh Allen and even he can't get over the hump in our great home field advantage. Just so frustrated. KC never loses at home in Arrowhead.
  19. The fact that Josh has to do SO MUCH for this team to be in position to win, it worries me. It's not sustainable for him to run like this and smash his body around and finish the season. We got fortunate he didn't get injured this year and miss time. KC and Mahomes at one point at 8 chunk plays to zero for Buf. Mahomes makes good decisions in the pocket and throws accurately downfield...and of course last night his receivers decided to catch everything. The Bills had to work so much harder to complete passes,,, and of course the WRs came up so small.
  20. Bass can't miss that kick, but yeah KC was going to get into Butker's range for a walk off and he was not going to miss. Failing on 2nd and 3rd down and not getting a TD late was the ballgame. The Bass kicked was going to prolong it for another couple mins. It was a pretty even game last night. Could've gone either way. I did not think Buffalo was the better team. It was even at best,
  21. *IF* Gabe can get open he appears to be the only Bills WR that can track the ball on deep throws. The other guys including Diggs suck at it.
  22. I slept OK but when I stirred around 5am i laid there for an hour thinking about the game and couldn't fall back to sleep. Being older now, the game will wash off me much quicker than when i was in my 20's for the Super Bowl years. But still, it bothers me that Josh Allen's prime years are clicking off. His legs and body won't do what they've been doing at a high level forever. We've had arguably the best player in football here and can't get past Divisional round, at HOME. But to answer your original question yes, I am mostly lowkey about it. I expected it. Even stuff not having to do with our game had me prepared for a loss. I harped on it all yesterday that we needed Tampa to win, because home teams rarely go 4-0 in the Divisionals, and they didn't.
  23. The pain is real this morning. Ugh. Not watching or listening to any sports shows for a few days. Only checking this site.
  24. I was harping on it this weekend and unfortunately right. At least 1 road team wins in the Divisional round. When the home teams were 3-0 in front of us i felt very uneasy. Just couldn’t get that out of my head.
  25. Yep. That was predictable for sure.
