  1. Look, the Allen that went crazy last season in a 4 game stretch vs KC, SF, LAR and Det did not lose his skills in one offseason. Maybe it was because Dion and the Oline were openly trying to get him the MVP? and Allen himself put pressure on himself to make plays and limit mistakes. But whatever it was, they were an exciting and aggressive group last season. So far this year the Oline seems less aggressive, they are struggling with some pass blocking protections, and Josh is not bailing everyone out with spectacular runs and throwing on the run. Hopefully they break all that down in the bye week and get back to playing like they are capable.
  2. Watching the Bills defense vs great RBs Derrick Henry and Bijan this season was just gross. They made the D look slow, small and gap integrity is not even in their vocabulary. I'm not sure how McDermott fixes that but he has to. I don't trust Babich to get that fixed.
  3. Beane traded for Cooper last season, there was negligible payoff and the man was injured seemingly 5 minutes after he got to Buffalo. I don't know if he is thinking about trading for another WR or Safety? But Beane needs to plug everything in to GM brain...and think about his speech at the podium after the Bills win the SB. And during that imaginary speech... which player(s) he brought in at the deadline that made a massive difference on this ball club to get them over the hump. It shouldn't be someone on the very back end of his productivity, and it can't be someone who has not shown durability. If he finds the right guy that thinks he can get us over the hump then pull the trigger and trade the draft assets and/or players necessary. We're wasting time.
  4. New England is going to lose some games that look like definite wins as of today. Buffalo will win some games that look like probable losses as of today,
  5. It's such a weird move to re-sign all the ex-Bills that were deemed expendable because they were not good enough.
  6. It's a little worrisome when the Bills go through these games where the team sucks and Allen gets in his own head. We all assume they will right the ship and be rolling into the late season. But one of these seasons...what if they don't??

    Keon WTF?

I root for Coleman, I thought he'd be pretty good. While he's not a burner as we all know, I figured he'd be someone like Keenan Allen. A taller guy that knows how to use his body and has enough football IQ to get open and make himself available for the QB when things go off script. Clearly he is nowhere close to that as of today.
  8. While I don't necessarily need Josh to play hardball off the field. I would like to see him play hardball on the field. He's a good guy, but a little more fire would be nice. I mean we've seen Mahomes ranting and raving during games, pacing up and down the sidelines hyping guys up or even shouting if things aren't going way. We've certainly seen that trait from Brady, Manning and some of the greats. They get in guys faces sometimes. I'd like to see Allen rip Keon a new one sometime! Prob will never happen.
  9. As others have said, the management must have come into the season thinking they are so good with Allen that the Bills can manipulate games... D can force turnovers, then bend but don't break while they work in some rookies... O can plow them over with our offensive line, run at will, quick passes, keep Josh safe planted in the pocket...30+ points per game. then get the 1 seed easily and unleash the entire playbook in January. Yeah we all know NFL football doesn't work that way.
  10. I like this thread, as it's been a topic I have talked about over the last few years. Unpopular opinion but I don't think Allen is a great pocket passer. I never have. To me he's just not accurate enough and he's sometimes a bit slow to read the coverages. If they have a play where it's 1, 2, 3.. back foot down, ball thrown quickly it's usually good. But if the coverage is disguised he has trouble. Don't get me wrong, he's still good from the pocket, just not elite,,, like Brady, Manning, Burrow, etc.. To me, Allen separates himself into an MVP QB because of what he does when he moves his feet.. When he's throwing on the run, moving around, scrambling and finding a guy downfield. that is magic. When he rolls out and take the 7 yard gain out of bounds, that's fine. When he takes off and runs, it can change the game. To the main point of this thread, turning him into a pocket QB is going to not go well. Teams have started blitzing like crazy, and it's already taking away from his ability to move around as the pocket caves in. I think his chance of injury is greater in the pocket rather than getting out of there.
  11. lol they’re booing the crap out of Russ after one horrible 3rd down pass
  12. I agree. i said that during their KC game! that they would regret not starting Dart vs Chiefs
  13. This is the thing… when an established team in the NFL runs into a super hungry team with an up and coming QB. It’s hard to match that energy. and Philly is struggling with that.
  14. The overhead shots from drone or helicopter look like pretty good coverage. But all the views I've seen from inside the lower deck or field level looks like a lot of people will be getting rain or snowed on. I think we can agree the upper decks have the coverage and certainly if you are in the last 10-20 rows of upper deck you are not getting rained on....but you're also not feeling any warmth on those chilly but sunny late fall days.
  15. Nice but that overhang ain't covering sh*t really, it's good for the wind diffusion though.
  16. I must've missed this thread first time around. But to think any pro football players would make a bad play on purpose to end a streak is silly. The home winning streak, the streak of not losing the turnover battle, the SNF or prime time winning streak... all came to an end vs New England. There's no guarantee they will start new streaks in the positive direction. Maybe they lose the turnover ratio for 5 of the next 6 games. You just never know how sports goes? That's why we all love the NFL... it's unpredictable week to week.
  17. My opinion may not be popular but I don't think Josh is at his best when he's planted in the pocket scanning the field for options 2 & 3. That's a Joe Burrow thing, or even Mahomes, Goff, etc. I think Josh is at his best when he's moving around, rolling out, running for 7 yards and getting out of bounds, etc... He's definitely gotten better at standing in the pocket and throwing some accurate passes. Sometimes the WR's are working in unison with Josh as he's scrambling around trying to make a play and they get more open... thats when the special happens. I also feel like he takes some shots from defenders while hanging in the pocket, they love to whip Allen to the ground when they get ahold of him. They enjoy roughing him up.
  18. I'm not disrespecting the Falcons defense, but i think game scripts has had something to do with their rankings and they've only played 4 games. Against Minnesota, JJ McCarthy was terrible and looked like he'd never played QB in his life, but that was a good defensive game that skewed their numbers way down. Carolina had a pick six and another TD or two set up by turnovers. The Panthers had a huge lead and didn't possess the ball for long drives and didn't need to, skewing the stats. Atlanta also got to play the Commanders with backup QB Mariota and no McLaurin. The first game against Tampa was impressive D, but they still lost.
  19. We’re in a place where only a Super Bowl appearance will be a successful season. We’ve waited long for KC to be down a rung or two in the AFC hierarchy, Baltimore is temporarily off the map, and upstart Indy, Jax and maybe Denver are the biggest challengers. If the Bills can make a trade for a CB and get some guys back there’s no reason to not win the AFC. So yes, a loss vs middling Atlanta will not be taken well.
  20. Oh no, Orlovsky on ESPN says the Bills are on “upset alert” this Monday. Beware.
  21. I do not buy the trap game angle,,, as they had their "trap game" scares when they were huge favorites over Miami and NO and both games were tied or barely ahead in the 4th Qtr. Like every recent season, I think the Bills fall victim to their regular season "greatness" and how Vegas and media anoint them as SB favorites. The players since week 1 feel like no matter how iffy the game is going, they will pull it out at the end...because they are the Buffalo Bills. Well guess what, when the opponent wants the game more than you? a comeback is not always going to happen. McDermott does a nice job trying to keep the guys humble and hungry but it's human nature as a player to think your team is awesome and nothing bad will happen. They forgot about attention to detail in the NE game, and how hard they need to outwork the opponent. Simple as that.
  22. This whole strategy by Buffalo pisses me off. It's the same as the AFCCG game last season. I believe the Bills had just tied it 29-29. I told my son, play to win and don't let KC dink and dunk down the field easily for a FG and maybe a TD. Then of course we allow it by playing soft and then everyone considers it a "win" because they only allowed KC a FG to go up 32-29. NO, it was a Loss...because we allowed them to take a lead with 2:30 remaining. And you aren't going to get down the field easily against a good defense in their house., which was proven to be the case.
  23. Yes. in the long run the Bills will be proven right by having smaller capacity. It will be fine. In the short run, while the team is very good and with the novelty of wanting to experience the new stadium... fans will pump of the prices of tickets on the secondary markets to extremely high levels. Speaking of high prices, I just paid $300/ea for the Saints game tickets, lower level corners and the Bucs and Chiefs are way more. So the outrageous prices are in full swing to say goodbye to Rich Stadium.
  24. It's fun.. the threads about retiring Mr. Brightside, being tired of everyone eats, never wearing the rivalry jersey again, etc. are hilarious.
