Game week thread - Chiefs at Bills (Video preview on pg. 19)

Playing KC in this era is like playing the Patriots back in the Brady era (great Coach/QB/TE combo, great D coordinator). The difference is they are not in the AFC East and the Bills happen to be really good too. It's frustrating. I mean they had kind of a down year last season and still got the #1 seed and made the Super Bowl. -

I think the Bills D is going to make some plays, but KC will still score in the low-mid 20's. If the Bills D holds KC in the teens i will be pleasantly surprised. Buffalo's offense is more concerning to me. The Chiefs will not allow Cook to go crazy. They have a very solid D across the board. Allen has to break out of whatever slumber or lack of confidence that is plaguing him. He will have some open receivers TE's and RBs. He needs to release the ball quicker or take off and run sooner. His eyes have become sloooooow when he's going through his progressions. -
Some good analysis there. He's definitely is spooked by the INTs. He isn't playing with that swag and has no confidence throwing the ball. He has to snap out of it. INT's will happen but if you score enough they can be overcome. Look at Mahomes last night, 2 first half picks and he didn't get down on himself, he got angry and kept throwing.

KC has better receivers of course, no one can argue otherwise. What you see with Mahomes though, is how great he is when things break down. He knows where everyone is at all times.. his line caves in but he buys time with twitchy movements and he gets the ball out to guys that break open. He anticipates it. When he does throw a pick or two (like last night), he doesn't go to the sidelines and sulk. He's yelling at himself and whoever can hear him. He gets mad and that pumps himself up to make some plays on the next drive.
