The players absolutely know if they are getting an award and that way they can make arrangements for family, etc. to attend. I don't blame Lamar for not showing up. Almost all the prominent players who went, won something. Saquon had a recorded speech for OPOY so obviously he knew well in advance. The moment Josh won, the Bills released a 5-minute video highlighting his work at Children's hospital and mentioning the MVP. They all knew.

Haha I think he referred to him as “slick rick”.

Rarified air: Josh Allen MVP Good to always be reminded of some of the great QBs to never accomplish this and how special it is. Roger Staubach Warren Moon Troy Aikman Big Ben Philip Rivers Drew Brees Eli Manning Joe Burrow - still time

Man that was awesome to see him up there. It wasn’t the Super Bowl but it felt like Allen plowed into the end zone for the win. That’s Bills history and that’s cementing his gold jacket someday to the HOF. Made all of Buffalo and the fans proud.

Yeah!!!!!!! Immortalized. Josh!!! Thank god.

McDermott missed out on this. He been around too long now. Finished 7th in the voting which is kind of a joke really.

I think i’ve heard him say in the past he’s kind of nerdy off the field. It would not surprise me if this type of event is likely out of his comfort zone. That’s just my opinion, from hearing different sound bytes from Allen since he was drafted. Maybe Hailee gets him to attend more of these events in and out of sports. She’s probably into it.

Maybe co-MVP? hasn’t happened since 2004, Peyton and Steve McNair. I doubt it, seems the secondary voting almost makes a tie highly improbable, unless there is some collusion involved amongst the voters.

Damn, i saw something online that Lamar is there. Allen is at 98% on Poly
-
Polymarket Live odds at 6:38pm show Allen at 68% for NFL MVP, Lamar 33.2%. Seems like some people know something....
-
Late this afternoon Kyle Brandt put it out there on his social media that he still thinks Allen wins MVP.
-
Maybe all the bettors were duped by the fake Adam Shefter account like i was for a few mins,,, lol. Saying his sources indicate that Allen will win his 1st MVP.
-
Now back to 51% Allen,,, Yeah baby!

This game has been flushed for me since the Monday after. I watched the game and didn't feel like we were the better team. It was very close, but i just never felt the Bills were better..., the 4th down call bothered me immensely but we can't change it. Funny though, I keep hearing about 13 seconds in various Super Bowl week talk about the Bills. That still bothers me more than this game. Will there ever me a more epic playoff botch than McDermott and Co. in that moment, not squibbing it? 50 years from now they will still be talking about it. The only other single decision I can think of is when Seattle failed to pound in the TD from the one yard line with Lynch in the Super Bowl... and the Pats made the goal line INT.

Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season

I'm going to closely watch in the SB to see how often the refs mark the ball back half yard or a full yard from where it appears the ball *should* be. Understanding that the ball is marked where the players knee or elbow touches the ground. -

I nearly forgot about this beauty of a sequence in the 2023 AFC Championship. Good thing the sports world never forgets. The Chiefs had their punt unit on the field for gosh sakes. Then the flag on the next play. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DFgErVYyDIf/?igsh=bWMza3c5ZGppdThn -
I’ll take the bone if they throw it. lol. We do know of at least a couple voters (Peter King among them), that said they differentiate MVP from First Team All Pro. We don’t know how many others behind the scenes feel that way but it probably needs to be at least 6.

Time to revisit this thread. We did not get the Super Bowl we yearned for but the MVP is still in play and Chris Jones agrees.

I don't think the NFL is rigged. I don't think the refs are openly cheating. However, I've felt for many years that the refs are subconsciously biased towards the home teams, especially in the playoffs. A lot of Bills fans probably don't keep score on this but there's been some questionable calls and non-calls in Bills playoff home games that have benefited us. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, it just is. Kansas City has hosted a ton of playoff games, so I do think they've had a bunch of "reffing" go their way. Chris Jones lined up in the neutral zone on a few short yardage plays. I'll be interested to see if stuff like that is enforced on a neutral field in the SB. -
There was a show yesterday that spent about 5 minutes breaking down the Chiefs final play to Perrine, to ice the game. It was such a masterclass play by Reid, and they showed how all the KC receivers were bunched up and each took a specific route to take out the edge player and all the Bills LB's without touching anybody on a pick or anything. So when Perrine cut across in front of all the traffic, Terrel Bernard was completely stuck in a traffic jam and by the time he got around it, the RB was already on his way for a nice catch and run. It's stuff like that, I feel our coaching is not up to par. We should have had a play like that on 3rd or 4th down. But nope, outcoached on that side of the ball too.

Of course I'm watching...but Chiefs fatigue is real.

I don't disagree at all, that's why I'm pounding the table to get Myles Garrett. But with regards to Allen, and how it still stings, I'm sure he's thinking about what he could have done better.
