Same thing with Hail Mary's. A bunch of Bills defenders down there boxing out like basketball players, and one dude jumping, instead of 5 or 6 Bills defenders jumping to knock it down. It's like we do the opposite of every other team. The Onsides scared the hell out of me. Benford and the others on the front line wanted no part in fielding that ball. It was Rasul or bust.

The national media narrative since the Bills won
zow2 replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I watched some of Nick Wright's show yesterday on FS1. He's been fairly nice to the Bills this season, claiming he's one of the very in National Media that didn't predict a Bills decline and knew Allen would have this team where they are right now. Anyway, he won't say it on air but you can tell as a Chiefs fan he's nervous. He said he's not going to clown on Buffalo this week like he did Houston and the practice games are over for KC. Now it's going to be tough. -
I just don't see in a do or die playoff game, Josh throwing up 50/50 balls to Cooper and Keon and that's what those guys tend to specialize in. Ball security is much too important in all these games.

Levy was 0-4 in Super Bowls, McDermott cannot go 0-4 vs KC

Cmon Sean, time to win a big boy playoff road game like Kansas City did Twice last season. -
Well, if anyone had told me they could either win MVP or win that game last night, i’d take the game. MVP is whatever at this point. The ESPN faction of voters likely swung it to Lamar. CBS affiliated voters held firm with Allen. The rest will be a mix.

A 3rd consecutive Divisional Round home loss? No chance
zow2 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
There was no jinx. It wasn’t cocky. We respected the Ravens but McDermott was not losing a 3rd straight home Divisional. And he didn’t. Bravo -
It's been noticeable since late in the season the refs are spotting the ball about half yard back from where it appears they should. For both teams. I thought maybe my eyes are going bad. I know it gets placed where the ball is when the knee is down,

No, I had a similar thought about the Ravens game and put it out there to the board and we dug deep. No issues. -
That's all I have to say. It cannot happen Sean. This can't be your legacy. Dig deep and find a way to win this game.

1/19/25 Division Round Playoff Post Game Thread Bills vs. Ravens
zow2 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's a crazy scheme when you watch it over again. The Bills front line guys, 88, 47 and 43 all completely ignore the ball and allow it to scoot right through to Rasul Douglas. Benford wanted no part of fielding that ball. I suppose if it was kicked slower he would've had to make a play. The whole thing came down to one man fielding a rock solid ball cleanly in the snow and ice. -
Nah, it's well known the KC Chiefs are on an 8-game no turnover streak. So THEY are due more than us.

Being nitpicky: please let Allen pass the ball more
zow2 replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
We're seeing it now, just how Mid the supporting receiver cast is. It's all Allen,...and then Cook, Shakir, and some Ty and Ray Davis. Everyone else is just out there being decoys or blocking. Be nice if someone else steps up vs KC and helps out. -
Being nitpicky: please let Allen pass the ball more

Yeah i was thinking maybe that was a rehearsal game for playoff football. All i know is that I don't want to be the fanbase a week from now lamenting that wow, we outgained the Chiefs 410 yards to 289 or whatever and lost....and we lost the turnover battle 2-0 because we threw into double coverage and got strip sacked on a trick play getting greedy instead of running. So there has to be a balance, and so far they've figured it out. -
AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs

That's why i totally justified the Tre White PI which i didn't think was egregious at all. I mean if the ref is going to kill our drive, i felt they "owed" us one. -

People are not getting it that the student (McDermott) has learned from the master (Andy Reid). The Chiefs have not turned the ball over in something like 8 straight games. They don't take many sacks, they don't take tons of penalties, they don't take lots of risk. Mostly they run and throw short/med passes to move the chains. They make their FG's. They wait to pounce on the other teams miscues and dumb plays. And they win Super Bowls. We aren't gonna see a risky passing game downfield unless it's a busted play and Allen just heaves it. If it turns into a game where they need Allen to throw, run and come from behind they will. -
AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
zow2 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
We survived the game last night that i think was the worst matchup for Buffalo. This KC game will be a war, but the Bills match up pretty well. -
Well cmon, lets be honest...Joe Brady was so busy interviewing last week he didn't have time to design plays. It was just hand off, hand off, hand off, screen pass, Josh run.. Lol.

AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
zow2 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
We are going to "out Chief" the Chief's at their own, controlling the trenches and limit mistakes style of play. And if it turns into a shootout, we bring the Ferrari out of the garage and rev it up. -
Potential NFC representative in the Super Bowl
zow2 replied to KingBoots8's topic in The Stadium Wall
Philly is good, especially on D but they ranked like 29th in passing. They had like 65 yards passing vs the Rams yesterday. I know Saquon is tremendous but they don't seem as well rounded as the Ravens, who can run and throw. -
Potential NFC representative in the Super Bowl

I just feel like Baltimore was the most complete team we will see... doesn't mean the Bills will beat KC or the NFC rep, it's just they all have more flaws than Baltimore in my opinion. Obviously, turnovers, penalties, 3rd down efficiency and special teams, etc.. can swing any game in the right or wrong direction. You just never know. Winning the SB even from this point still takes some luck. -
Yep, the Bills are playing Chiefs style football lately. So now the student has to take down the master. Both teams are playing "clean" football. Don't turn it over, run the ball even when it's getting overly conservative, convert 3rd downs, don't take sacks, don't make risky throws into double coverage, make your FG's.

We were like an NHL team last night that got out to an early 3-0 lead, but was outshot 45-20 in the game and hung on for dear life. That's what it reminded me of. We just packed it in, weren't going to give Baltimore a mistake to capitalize on., played D, made them earn their yards while tightening up in the red zone.

I think i saw that the playoff teams with a minus turnover ratio are 0-7. As i mentioned in the other thread, the mistakes are hurting teams more than the nice flashy plays are helping. You need a few plays of course, but turnovers are going to make you lose, period, end of story. Bills are not playing risky football right now.
