For a city like Denver, a retractable roof stadium effectively eliminates weather games. That roof will only be open in the early season on a nice day. Once they get in to the time of the season where you see the players breath as they are huffing and puffing, the roof will be shut and it's sterile. You won't see games from there with any white stuff on the field that's for sure.

I purposely don't attend night games anymore because i want to be home at night, not fighting traffic at midnight many miles from home. As a matter of fact I went to the Bills at Ravens game last season and watched the entire 35-10 debacle and got stuck getting out until 12:45am. It sucked. Never again. So while I get all the excuses of leaving this "winnable" game early, it's an option to sit these games out if your plan all along is to leave early.

How much better is the Ravens team on paper than the Bills?
zow2 replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
Some people will disagree.. but I think the Ravens played their A- game on Sunday night. Other than the first drive and the final 4:50 of the game they were superb. The Henry fumble and the poor coverage at the end doomed them. On the flip side I feel like the Bills played mostly a C+ game till the final 4:50. They were gashed and dominated in the trenches on D. For a huge chunks of the game the O was contained. Bottom line, if/when they meet again in January I think Buffalo will give us their A game and this narrative that the Ravens have such better players will be proven to be nonsense. -
Bills sign a new punter!! Welcome Cameron Johnston
zow2 replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah true. And we don't know, there might be some great history between Prater, Ferguson and Johnston....Or he might be known as a great all around punter, holder, locker-room guy and beer and wings dude, -

What happened to Brad Robbins? I don't really care who is punting, but the FG unit relies on the punter being the holder and that unit looked smoothe the other night. Why disrupt it. -
If Josh is salty about it, then so am I. Don't leave games were are losing but not over. As the man says have some faith. He never gives up and neither should the fans.

No idea.. but like having the Raptors minority owners it's additional linking of the Bills organization to a huge International city. This has been the best few years of Bills football in ages, and they own the fandom from Toronto, around the golden horseshoe, through all of WNY and Rochester/Syracuse.. That's a large population of regional fans.

I couldn't understand in real time, that midway through 2nd Qtr, leading 7-3, the Bears went for the 4th and 3 from Minnesota 24 yard line. They didn't get it, not even close. And of course the Bears end up losing by 3. It's coaching malpractice for a struggling Chicago Bears organization to not kick a routine 41 yarder and add to your lead, instead of puffing your chest out and going for the risky fourth down. Coaches are so dumb sometimes. In that situation, still first half, it was so unnecessary to pass up the points.

Brady had a very good arm, and was accurate. But his super power was his high pre-snap IQ, then the arm and accuracy made it all work. Allen is better than a lot of Super Bowl winning QB's and SB loser QBs for that matter. It's not even debatable. Football, however, is the ultimate team sport and no QB is winning it all on their own.

Unlike you and I, I'm pretty sure coaches in the NFL come into each new season not dragging around the baggage from previous seasons.

I agree that of any aspect of this game, the D will come out and play better than Sunday night. They cannot get gashed in the run like that again. The Jets have a good RB in Hall but he's not Henry. Overall though, I think the Bills will suffer a bit of a first half hangover from the big Ravens comeback. They should come on in the 2nd half to come away with the W. Hopefully it's not a last second sweat it out type thing.

I used to think that way... Kinda like how Detroit will pummel Chicago this weekend because they looked horrible vs GB. That's been debunked a bit over the past few years. I feel like the Browns will hang in there for some reason. They will contain Henry better than the Bills did. I also feel like both the Ravens and Bills may have a bit of a SNF "epic game" hangover, at least for the first half this Sunday. I hope not for our sake.

Josh's pass to Palmer that (more or less) won the game
zow2 replied to Low Positive's topic in The Stadium Wall
The field level view of that pass from behind Josh showed what a perfect pass that was... the accuracy to put that in the window over the Ravens guy, into that tight space to Palmer was phenomenal. MVP throw.- 64 replies

I don't know. But they are working in some new pieces and opened up against the worst matchup they will face all regular season. I'm bullish on the unit getting better and better. I think the Bills may have led the league in fumble recoveries last season and were pretty high in INT's including 3 TDs. That's the secret sauce for this D. Not sure if Babich can will that to happen again or if it's just luck. We shall see....but they did force the big Henry fumble which gave us a chance for victory.

As Bobby Babich said in his presser, would you rather peak now as a defense or in January?!? They missed some assignments and failed to execute on several plays.

Dude went from a poor man’s Spencer Rattler in the first half to Josh Allen lite in the 4th Qtr
-
Minnesota was advertised as having a tough D and good secondary.
-
I’m glad he looks better. i thought he’d be ok in the NFL and it looked bleak early. Just needed some confidence. The game is so mental for QBs
-
The experience seemed to overwhelm even Bosa. He couldn’t believe the whole thing.

I left the Roland Hooks catch game vs New England many many years ago. I heard the cheers from the parking lot and we scrambled to the car to turn on the radio and find out what happened.

What a kick.

Take the 3 points, my gosh. Does Ben think he’s coach of the Eagles? Stack points when you have a lead
-
I wasn’t expecting JJ to resemble Allen or Lamar but man, he looks rough. He probably should throw some easy ones while rolling out to get in a groove. Hes struggling in the pocket. I thought he’d be better to start this game. I thought it was a huge risk to move off a guy that led them to 14 regular season wins last season.

The Bears are in no position to pass up FGs to add to a lead. Take the points when you can Ben.
