  1. ... and worth it.
  2. There is no smokescreen. The Bills are 100 percent NOT drafting Lamar Jackson. That is blindingly obvious.
  3. Man, Terry P sounds like an outright simpleton in this piece.
  4. His unwillingness to wheel and deal downward in past years plus his willingness to draft a RB in the top ten last year reminds me of another senior citizen GM. Goes by the name of Buddy.
  5. Um ... yes he did. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WarnCu00.htm
  6. Agreed about Carter; he wasn't really a bust. He suffered a bad injury. Big difference.
  7. He could have, but that would have been boring. The cap/salary information was fascinating and revealing.
  8. Tell that to Lydell Mitchell, Lenny Moore, Franco Harris, Curt Warner, and Larry Johnson. Even John Cappelleti was a pretty good player. The myth that PSU RBs are bad is even more fallacious than the one about USC QBs. Their record historically is pretty great, relatively speaking, and even accounting for Blair Thomas/Ki-jana Carter/Curtis Enis.
  9. I found this pretty convincing, unfortunately. Hopefully the Giants aren't reading this: http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/23297367/2018-nfl-draft-new-york-giants-really-take-saquon-barkley-second-overall-pick
  10. We also know nothing about his medical report.
  11. I'll wait 2-3 years before forming a judgment.
  12. All true, but it is the case that the Bills took the second qb off the board in 1985. Randall Cunningham was first at #37, and Reich was the 57th pick. The next qb to go was in the 6th round (Steve Bono).
  13. I don't think Woody Johnson has much involvement in the draft now. It's more about the OC, Jeremy Bates, who worked well with Cutler.
  14. Kinda fun checking out a Jets board. Man, a lot of their fans are worried about the Bills! http://forums.theganggreen.com/forums/draft.34/
  15. Why do people think this? It seems to me that it's impossible to tell at the moment.
  16. I share some of your concerns, but he was really banged up last year ( https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/marcus-mariota-reportedly-battling-hamstring-ankle-injuries-may-need-surgery/ ) and it greatly affected his mobility.
  17. What are you talking about? Johnson was the QB on the Bills final possession before the Rams scored, and he's the one who didn't connect with Quinn Early on 3rd and 7. Flutie threw the final pass of the game - a hail mary. You're seriously not going to blame him for not completing that, right? https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199809200buf.htm
  18. The Patriots could have gotten more for him but traded him to SF because Belichick wanted to put him in a good situation and because Belichick thinks that Kyle Shanahan is a great football mind and wanted to help him. Say whatever you want, but they did SF a solid. I think he's an excellent player who will have a good career barring injury. SF obviously thinks so too given how much they paid him. https://www.ninersnation.com/2018/1/5/16856502/patriots-espn-report-bill-belichick-49ers-kyle-shanahan-jimmy-garoppolo
  19. 22-9. He doesn't get credit for that win over the Colts in 1998 because Johnson played a couple of plays before getting hurt (a la Cassell's "victory" in the 2015 opener), but Flutie was the winning qb in that game.
