Denver has 5, 40, 71, 99, 106, and 109. That's arguably as good as what we have given the huge premium on the #5 slot.

He only nailed the draft last year if they get the right qb this year. If they don't, last year's draft will have been a disaster (assuming Watson and Mahomes are as good as they currently look). The jury is still out.

I'll trust him if he doesn't screw this up by going conservative and settling. He hasn't done anything yet except strip assets from the team and trade for a 4.7-40 WR and sign a low-production DT, both of whom were on his prior team (hence comfort-zone moves). Don't get me wrong; I like him and think he'll do the right thing. But he has to actually do it.

Who do you want?

One of the great things about American society now is that passionate fans about pretty much anything (Game of Thrones, hardcore board gaming, rock climbing, steampunk culture, 60s mod fashion, the NFL draft, you name it) can find an platform to opine on their subject of expertise and engage with others who have a similar passion. I have no sympathy for the views of these three, whose comments amount to fan-shaming. A lot of those fans are pretty smart, and know more than paid reporters do. I'd take a Buffalo News column penned by Badolbilz or Kirby any day over any one of these three (although Graham has had some good moments). After all, Sullivan and Graham work for a publication featuring Bucky Gleason, who if he had the run of the Bills would be leading a 1-15 franchise every year if they followed his advice.

I love Darnold. I prefer him to Rosen by a measurable amount, and I really like Rosen.

If the Bills get Darnold, I'm going to be very happy for a long time.

I think the Jags should move to London. It'd be good for the game.

I would take Darnold, but a plausible case can be made for Mayfield. Not so for Allen.

If Mayfield really does go #1, I think Allen will be the only option because I suspect the Giants will take Darnold and the Jets Rosen. Sucks, but that's my fear.

Irrespective of the tweet nonsense, I think the Bills will be making a big mistake if they draft Allen. He strikes me as an unholy combo of Drew Bledsoe and Brock Osweiler.

The obvious reason. It is a qb driven league, and if you don't have one, you won't win. If you have a franchise qb - which is generally only available through the draft - you have him for the nxt 12-15 years. The ceded picks in 2018 will be meaningless by 2021-22.

The Bills will have a TON of cap space next season and can go big in FA. Times are different now - lots of good players coming off of first contracts. The draft isn't the only path.

Stafford is a terrific player. Consider the team he took over. They were AWFUL. They have made the playoffs three times and should have won against Dallas in the 2014 playoffs if not for a ridiculously egregious call that handed the game to Dallas.

The Bills don't have a quarterback. They will suck until they have one.

Just gaming this out -- if it is for #1, I think a fair trade would be #12, #22, #53, #96, and next year's first.
