Josh Allen's a real puzzle
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Ed_Formerly_of_Roch's topic in The Stadium Wall
Actually that's what happened, I got a Mets puzzle for X-mas then recently looking at website saw the football ones and the JA version -
Literally a real puzzle! Warning not for the faint of heart as far a puzzles go. A rather unconventional puzzle, pieces are made from 1/4" thick wood and very intricate shapes. Since this is a football themed puzzle, many of the pieces are football related. I've also done one of this companies baseball ones too. Also not cheap the small size 12X16 was $49 The puzzle is NFLPA endorsed and supposedly has JA autograph on box. I'm guessing though since not also NFL sponsored, couldn't have Bills logo on uniform at all. I see they've upgraded now to have Rodgers in a Jets uniform now too. https://iconic-puzzles.com/collections/nfl-players

Which Bills players are “Make-It or Break-It” for 2023?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
The other issue with Oliver is I think players who are given the 5th year option, but then not signed long term, tend to have a chip on their shoulder to some extent for the team and will tend to have a mind set of they didn't want to commit to me, so I'm not going to commit to them either. Add to that like in Edmunds case, it's always a bit suspicious when a player has his best season in a contract year. The one thing in Oliver's favor though is no DT are signed beyond this year so they may try a little harder to sign him. Don't think he's a bad player, just not playing like a top 10 drafted pick. -
Emmanuel Acho’s Top 5 AFC Teams
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree, but stating they have is an opinion that can't be easily dismissed. But putting those three teams ahead of them seems like a big reach. -

Saying they've peaked is a fair response, but even if so, still likely better than Fish, Jets, and Ravens. -
Bills at jets monday opener ESPN/ABC on week 1
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to djp14150's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't like Bills at Jets on 9/11 in NY area. Bigger game for Jets than Bills though as a loss by Bills, oh well on the road on 9/11 against a pretty good team that narrowed the gap in off season, loss by Jets and nothing has changed for them. -

Schedule release day 5/11/23 - 8:00 PM EST on ESPN2
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Bills!Win!'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Between all the pre-releases of games Wednesday and all day Thursday, what is the over/under for how many Bills games will actually be unknown till 8:00 PM Thursday. The London game will be released on Wednesday for certain, the Friday after thanksgiving which they are rumored to play in will be released early, plus other big match ups I'll go with 12 -
Agree if has umbrella coverage likely OK. But still could argue, Araiza by now would be in 2nd season of low paying rookie contract. But would have received much higher 2nd contract 1 to now 2 years sooner which could be in multi million, may exceed umbrella coverage too?? Sam Martin is making $1.6 mil, Araiza likely would have got much better 2nd contract.

By the end of 2021, Davis was essentially the starting #2 WR, but he was surrounded by a much better slot guy in Beasley and Knox did more in 2021 too. So likely coverage was shaded much more away from Davis that year compared to last. In 2022 didn't get much of anything out of slot and O-line played worse so Knox was asked to stay in and block more.

I'd imagine a years lost salary of an NFL player projected as to impact over an entire career would exceed what many people have for homeowners liability coverage. Wonder too does home owners liability cover cases where a person has broken law, in this case filing a false report?

If there were bets on who likely will improve the most, of the QB's rated in bottom half, I'd put my money on R Wilson. Not that I really think he will be better, but just that he's the one bottom rated QB that at one time was really good, probably top 5 rated in past. So for that would bet on him as he's the one guy who has played at top level now rated low. Do agree too, Allen should be ahead of Hurts

Should Beane have made the trades that he did NOT make?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I guess the answer is it depends. On the Von trade, there's often under the table conversations going on. Did he know there would be a good chance the Bills could resign Von. If so then would lean towards yes. But also need to know if same trade deal was offered to Bills. -
Should the Bills move Milano to MLB?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Bobby Hooks's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thinking back too when Miller first signed ,he was listed on some sights as a LB so could see him filling that role here too Think rather than your choices listed for Nickel /Hybrid better chance it would be Rapp -
Should the Bills move Milano to MLB?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Bobby Hooks's topic in The Stadium Wall
As someone posted the other day, how is there really a true middle LB when there are only two of them on the field to start with? I think overall there will be more 2 LB's 3 Lineman, 3 CB and 3S whenever in passing downs and sounds like Williams would be fine in passing downs. Klein isn't a bad LB as long as he's not asked to cover anyone. With 3 safety's on field, he doesn't need to. Likely the lineman that will come out will be Jones. Throw in a blitzer coming form anyone on any given play. -
What does our O-Line look like now?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes but the cap hit was also very high, one of those were the salary almost equaled the cap hit. But someone pointed out if they cut him in August is a $6 mil saving. So wouldn't rule it out. I'd imagine it would depend on how the other six all look and the 7th round rookie. If they are afraid to cut any of them, then someone has to go either cut or trade. Not a high likelihood of it happening, but most years usually include one surprise cut. -
Would you want Beane to sign Isaiah Wynn?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think many do want him gone and have zero confidence that he'll ever be any good when you read comments either in this post or others. Agree bringing is some competition is fine, but many want him replaced and that is without much merit. From this thread alone: when he eventually sucks this season. stubbornly doubling down on that investment Do you think he would do any worse than Brown last year? Doubt it. -
Bills are grandpa's based on average roster age.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just looked up Reid Ferguson, he's 29. I wonder if you just took out one player like him how much would that lower the average age? As close as the lowest to the highest is, a little over a year total, really not worrying all that much about it. -
Would you want Beane to sign Isaiah Wynn?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall
What I like about Brown is what he has NOT and did NOT do! He didn't play his last year in college as school canceled program due to Covid He did not have a full rookie off season as thing were still not at 100% due to Covid changes He didn't play every game as rookie as got hurt mid way through year, believe it was his back and may have been playing a bit hurt late in the season He didn't have any off season his 2nd year due to rehabbing from back surgery. He hasn't yet played 3 NFL seasons He didn't have the same O line coach the last three years he played, two in the NFL and last year of college He didn't have the same lineman playing next to him the past two season which for an inexperienced player to start with takes some time getting use to. These are a few things that he didn't do. Ad them all up and you have a player that really no one knows what he can do. Really need one more full season to see what he is capable of and everyone who says how terrible he is, really have no idea. These are probably many of the same who wanted to get rid of Tyler Bass after about 4 games, Dawson Knox being another. -
Fixed it for you

Actually it's 27 catches, but he was on the roster for ST play and if needed, could contribute when called upon. The Bills were pretty healthy at WR excluding slot which he didn't play so they didn't need him very often on offense. Late half of this past year likely could have used him, but he was hurt himself.

RD 7, Pick 252: CB Alex Austin, Oregon State
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Add to that agents will tend to steer UDFA towards weaker teams as player then has better chance to make roster, so Bills aren't getting the cream of the crop. Player drafted typically will get bigger contract and bigger signing bonus and teams will more try to hang onto the guy. -
Have the Bills signed the entire Florida roster??
