Doubt they sign Jackson as their #3 CB will be Elam. The only way he's back is if no other team wants him which I don't see and he comes back late super cheap. Jackson's the type of signing a team in cap trouble can't make.

2024 concerns at Saftey and Defensive Gloom and Doom
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Lenigmusx's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jackson is a FA, so much better chance the main CB;s for next year will be Douglas, Benford, and Elam plus Johnson at nickel (is he also a FA??) Throw in a rookie and/or a low level late signee FA. Only way Jackson comes back is either there's little interest for him or the Bills have zero confidence in Elam. Which is that's the case, likely would see him traded pre draft for maybe a 5th or 6th rounder. But with such a likely low return, think much better chance they will bring him back for another year. Hyde is a FA hinted at retiring so I'd be fine moving on there, but bring back Poyer for one year as would make me nervous having two new S in one year. And would be fine with the name you mention Gilman as Hydes replacement, then draft i n3rd round or so a replacement for 2025 for Poyer. But the bigger concern is the DL and doubtful all those names are back as many are FA and Bills can't afford them all. -
For the first couple of years KC also had Hlll. A couple of years Pats had Moss, but also many years did it with out great WR group. KC also had an offense minded coach while Pats opposite so that also helps Kelce.

In many of those 6 games the last time the Bills had the ball they went down the field and scored, then the defense allowed the opponent to score costing the Bills the game. But can also then make the argument that maybe the Bills wouldn't have been behind to begin with if it weren't for the turnovers and missed opportunities, and short fields given up earlier. In 4 of those losses the offense averaged 21 PPG, not that great. Not that I'm blaming Allen, but if we have this great top 3 QB, scoring 21 PPG and expecting to win them all is probably not realistic either and hard to also put the blame on the defense.

Great QBs and the # of SuperBowl Victories
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Bills!Win!'s topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm probably a bit biased against Warner too as couldn't stand seeing his wife on TV as much as she was back then. -
BB is a great DC, maybe the best ever. He's won 6 SB with Brady as his QB. Since then has done pretty bad, granted has not had a good QB. Where he's been rather poor the past ten years is his role as GM. I think Brady was just so good and so dedicated (IMO more than Allen is too) that they won SB's even with the bad drafting BB did. So overall wouldn't excite me bringing him in here.

How do you explain Diggs invisibility act
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm giving it a month or so to see if it's announced he had some off season surgery, then will decide how to explain. Admittedly that article paints it as a trend, but don't recall seeing it as bad or as long in past years as this one. -

Always have had a hard time calling Kurt Warner a great QB. He had a 12 year career, out of them 6 good years, but of those 6, only 3 the team did well. Other years he barely played half the games, not sure if it was due to injury or benched? -
Reading the media release it sounds more like he requested to leave as wanted to be closer to his family in Pa and Eagles are going to hire him. If that's even close to the entire story, was nice of Miami to do so. But also don't want a coach who doesn't want to be there either.

So if I'm Babich and were offered the job with Giants and offered the same promotion in Buffalo would have to decide which is better. In Buffalo will always be answering at some level to Mcd, kind of same issue Frasure had. With Giants could be a one year job and also have to wonder about all the negative stuff coming out about Daboll. So which is better option?

O’Cyrus Torrence makes NFL All Rookie Team

Agree assumed LaPorta would get it if only one. Wasn't sure if it may be one team per conference or if there's a 2nd team all rookie -

Kincaid didn't?? Or is it only one TE league wide?? Is there a 2nd team? -
Why not Allen. He's just sitting around on the bench when the defense is out there anyway. I'm sure he could hit good, likely much harder than Elam can. Knox would be another good choice, big hitter. What evidence do you even remotely have to show that Elam would be be a good safety, or even just a decent one?

Mr. Pegula please read Tyler Dunne’s newest article
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you don't understand, then why are you posting. Maybe would be better if you just read what people with a brain actually say. So yes the Bills should do something that has never been done in the history of sports! And you don't understand that! -
I can't wait until dabolls system is gone for good!!!!
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Think Dorsey used much of Daboll's but tried to appease McD with running more, but not Allen running and ended up with a complete ineffective mess. Wouldn't shock me when Dorsey was fired and McD asked Brady to take over, he said yes, but only if you allow me to let Allen run again. I don't like ex good college QB's as an NFL OC as think they may to easily become the mad scientist, rubbing his hands together thinking all the things I can now do with a QB as good as Allen is, all things I was never able to do myself and they try to live vicariously through the QB. Don't literally mean this, but you get the point. Question is if Brady is given the job which good chance he will IMO, how much will he change the offense. -
Overall agree with you, think he will be back. They did miss him too as a return man. Can't recall did he also return punts or was it just KO? But do question the settlement part. Since it was a non-football injury, did or could the Bills even legally by league rules offer a settlement?

This whole thing sounds a little bizarre. So if you've been dead for like two weeks, can they still determine your BAC at time of death. If they can, I'm going to guess it will be very high as would have been the guy inside the house. They all passed out, unfortunately for three of them it was outside.

I'd put Shorter ahead of Isabella in the pecking order at WR. Shorter is almost identical height and weight as Davis, maybe they've instructed him to concentrate on blocking skills to fill his role?? Thought he was also very fast too, or was I thinking of another guy? Wouldn't be shocked to see Morse a cap hit or if they do keep him then could see Bates cut. Personally I'd use #1 pick on WR, #2/3 on S and center. Everyone is assuming White gets cut, article in BN over weekend said not likely as can't be cut until he can pass a physical which won't happen by March and after that you've taken the cap hit, so then may not make sense to cut him.

I caused us to lose the game
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll tell you the other problem yesterday. Around 6:00pm as soon as the Lions won their game I got worried as historically most years one road team always wins in the divisional round. Once that game ended, home teams were 3-0 -
I feel optimistic moving forward
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to HaldimandBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll see your Nacua and raise you a Benford Bills have done it too. That's the downside of the Elam situation. Posters blast him that was beat out by a 6th rounder. Reality is Benford is just one of these guys who fell through the small school crack. Doesn't make Elam bad, just makes Benford very very good! Granted if Elam again this coming year does nothing, then a different story. But right now was beat out by Benford as a rookie, just shows how good Benford was, year two he was either playing hurt or on IR most of season. -
The Million-Dollar Question Sticking in My Mind
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes they could have, first two times KC had ball they kicked a FG. Bills meanwhile had TD and FG. with two TD's they'd have been up by 4. After that Bills have 4 drives stopped 2 with punts, 1 turned over on downs, and missed FG. For KC excluding kneel downs had one punt and one fumble. So 4 more times the Bills could have scored, but didn't as opposed to 2 for KC. They didn't need a horse race, they just needed to score slow and steady if that was their game plan. Given the defense, they needed to score more. Their offense was OK, but to say there were no problems with it when had two 3 and outs and missed FG in 2nd half. Seems what you don't seem to be grasping is the meaning of the word good!!
