How if the Bills won 10 out of 15 would be ahead of someone with 10 out of 16. Yes if we played the 16th game and won we could get to 11 wins and maybe that would help us, but just as easily could lose the game and then be tied with the 10-6 team instead of being ahead of them and who knows how the next tie breaker would help or hurt us. It works both ways so it's fair, just less known. But this year that may be the best you can do.

I'm fine with giving Tenn forfeits, but wouldn't reward their opponents with wins. Final standing will just simple be based on win percentage so Bills could play one less game than others. In the NFL one win can take a team in or out of playoffs, change from playing home game to no home game, so can't see the league being comfortable giving a team that much of an advantage. I'm sure the other 30 teams would be screaming, in particular the Steelers.

Kind of amazing, was just looking at the updated 506 maps, this week pretty much every game on TV is terrible, likely the only good one is KC Raiders. The doubleheader game is Cowboys Giants, already told my wife I could grill tonight as didn't care if I miss anything. Even the Sunday and Monday night game aren't very good. Then you look at next week, where do you move the Bills Chiefs as good doubleheader game, good Sunday and Monday night game too at least from a rating perspective. Possibly an early ESPN doubleheader and Fox gets something back in return

But what do teams do during the two weeks? Are they still allowed to go to their facilities and practice? If not then would likely require one more week to get back into game shape again. You often read how every year there's talk about the first few weeks of season, even after normal off-season including pre-season games etc, players aren't completely at 100% for the season opener. If teams are allowed to continue practicing,. then guess OK, but then not all that certain what it accomplishes?

I'm sure even if Pegula wanted to that would be a salary cap hit. Having said that the league could approve them being paid from some source, maybe out of the cookie jar they have for emergencies. Unless I missed something in the last five pages of this thread, the facility is closed so no one can practice and with a positive today, they can't re-open tomorrow or Tuesday either as need two days of clean tests. Believe there's a league rule that teams have to be allowed to practice at a minimum of two days prior to game. On top of that they hadn't been allowed to have a full legal practice until yesterday, so that would have given them four days. To expect a team to go out and play a game after only a couple of practices does not seem very prudent. The issue also is you now don't know who this coach exposed himself too and will another flare up start maybe around Wednesday or Thursday, so then you'd have players who are negative on game day who have the virus now exposing the Bills. Add in 5 days before most see symptoms, they could then play KC on Sunday and test positive on Monday after they've now exposed KC too. Maybe the league will determine he wasn't exposed to anyone yesterday and reopen the facility in the next hour or so, if so then possibly the game could go on, though if I were the Bills, I think I'd now be telling Roger, NO we refuse to play the game as we don't want to be exposed next. If Tenn isn't able to practice today, then can't see how they can play the game.

The facility was closed for around 10 days since the first positive test. Everything was done virtually. What has been reported was one off site workout and there may have been a coach there. Were there more than one gathering possibly, I'd imagine that's what the league is looking into. But to date that's all that's been reported, so unless you're one of the Titan players who was at this workout, don't know how you can say there were multiple workouts?

I'm not all concerned with the #1 seed resting. I'm concerned that say the Bills Titans play week 17 while their opponent the following week in the playoffs has a bye. That gives them a huge advantage. I recall in the four SB years, Bills had a bye 3 of the 4 years which always was a big help. IMO if the Bills were already in the playoff so are just playing Tenn for seeding, I'd rather forfeit the game than play while my opponent next week has a bye. I'm sure the league would not allow that, but I'd then play all backups, maybe only play 9 guys on the field. If Tenn was also in playoff contention I'd imagine they'd feel the same. Maybe by then there will be a dozen or so makeups, that changes things then. But I'd rather see the make ups between week 15 to 16 so this way everyone plays two games after that. If there are any required makeups in the last two weeks, NFL reverts to plan ZZ! Big difference the NFL is only allowed to report football related injuries. How often do you hear some player has some not football related thing and it's kept a big secret. Recall it happening with one of the Bills lineman Henderson was it, turns out he had Crohns desease if I recall, for months no one knew what was going on. Eventually it kind of leaked out or maybe Henderson announced it, don't recall exactly, but do know anything not football related is protected info. Not sure where Covid falls, but there are many league limitiations

It's only been 4 weeks, can recall Trent Edwards looking amazing for about a 5 week span too that one year. Then he hit his head and everything fell apart. Admittedly there's been more year to year improvement with Allen than we ever saw from Edwards. Certainly if Allen keeps this up all year, he likely becomes the best QB from the class of 2018. Though Mayfield is looking pretty good right now too.

Yes was suppose to be on Fox, but can't see them repeating like the did last Monday where the ESPN was delayed around 40 minutes and the KC NE game was being played at the same time. I'm sure the ratings for the ESPN game weren't the greatest going against the other game though did involved Green Bay so that may have helped some. Fox would be fine with it I'm sure, but can't imagine ESPN agreeing. I'm thinking that's why this weeks NE Denver game which originally was on CBS was moved to Monday and is now an ESPN doubleheader. I'm guessing they said no, so they gave it to ESPN unless that was part of the deal, they gave ESPN the game this week in exchange for next week playing second fiddle. Or the Bills KC game on Fox starts at 5:00 eastern so over before Monday Night Football

Currently the Fox 4:25 game is Green Bay at Tampa, Brady Rodgers, Green Bay being one of the top five most popular teams in league. Sunday night is Rams at San Fran, can't see them dumping that one either. Even Monday Dallas is one anther team they won't preempt and Tuesday is game 1 of the World Series on Fox. Networks care more about showing the game with the best ratings more than which might be the better game. If any of them were dog games, then yes could see them switch but not a marginally better game for another more popular one. Likely at best will be a second 4:25 game that is only shown in the KC and Western NY markets. Basically the same as last week when they played 4:25, most of the country was getting NE- KC, small amount got the Raiders Bills game. Only once the KC game was canceled, then most of the country got Bills game.

Read an article that some of the Titans feel they are being portrayed unfairly and what's being stated in the press isn't accurate. Tannerhill was quoted for one. Hate to play a team that feels they've been wronged and it's "us against the world" mentality. They can sometimes rise to unexpected heights. Reminds me of the game the Bills had canceled, then moved to Detroit against the Jets because of the snowstorm in November about 4 years ago. The Bills were hardly able to practice all week, not many gave them a chance, and they blew the Jets out (poor Rex!) Trying to understand too if players are placed on the Covid List is that different than the IR list? Thought that was why they changed the rules this year to only needing to be on IR for 3 weeks because of Covid. Don't understand then how any of the Tenn players would be eligible to come back and play this week if they have to be on IR for 3 weeks minimum??

Agreed but do think the difference between Allen and Jackson's passing this year is greater than the difference between their running. Allen isn't really being asked to run much to start with so far this year. Plus I think coaches of any running QB would still tell you they want their QB to be the bigger threat passing rather than running the ball. Only one game but having less than 100 yards against KC is pretty bad, in particular when you lose. If they won you could argue they were running out the clock, but even when behind and the opposition is going to give you some completions, he got very few. Other games have been better, but certainly not at an MVP level so far this year.

True, I agree they need to get all the facts. However I can see every GM standing up in front of their team of players and coaches and telling everyone, "This is what the league stated they will do for future infractions". But can see players/coaches having an attitude of "yeah OK sounds good" Whereas if they actually saw punishment doled out it becomes more believable. So far the team you could argue that the team that has been punished the most by all this are the Steelers and Bills with the rescheduling, so why pay much attention to what the league tells me when they turn around and screw us in return. Until something is actually done it's just lip service.

There's much talk about the NFL punishing the Titans and it being severe. Normally the NFL likes to take it's time with any punishments to "try" to get it right, particularly if it's going to be severe. But in this case, they need to act quickly if it's meant to be a deterrent to other teams to break the rules. No sense the league announcing the penalty against Tenn week 17, it needs to be very soon. Will see what/when it's announced.

All Titan players are required to listen to one hour every day of tapes of Bill Belichick press conferences. -
You're right it's not close! IF it's CBS then it's not a national game at all as Fox has the doubleheader game that day.. As Yoloin pointed it was originally a Fox game so maybe will stick with Fox. However the current 4:25 Fox game that day is Green Bay at Tampa. Not so sure Fox would want to lose any viewership with that one or be splitting the county. No matter what you did, they'd be many fans mad. Sunday night game is Rams at San Fran so no one would want to give that up either. The other option would be to move it to Monday and another doubleheader, but I'd imagine ESPN would then be screaming about that too. Tuesday also wouldn't work for Fox as I believe that's game ! of the World Series also on Fox. When you factor in all those things, there really is no good answer. My guess is a regional game at best, maybe 4:25 opposite the primary GB- Tampa game like last week was going to be before the Pats Chiefs game was canceled. Can't see how Saturday could be the deadline for the Tuesday game. Can understand if there's another positive Saturday, then the game is off and Bills Chiefs goes back to Thursday so it's still a go, but can't believe if two people test positive on Monday, they still play the game?? May just mean after Saturday the Chiefs game would not be moved back to Thursday even if Titans game is canceled IMO The only other option would be to do like week 17 where both networks have a 4:25 game and Bills Chiefs is then back on CBS , but can't imagine Fox ever agreeing to that one either.

Likely will be broadcast by Fox since they had the Thursday night game? Fox has the doubleheader game that day, but it's Green Bay at Tampa so they won't dump that one. The Sunday night game is Rams at San Fran another good one so I'd bet it being a 1:00 game on Sunday. While Buffalo KC should be a very good one, can't see them dumping either of those other games. If the game does stay on CBS likely a 1:00 but if instead it's a 4:05 either way will only be a regional game, unless they go to some special thing like week 17 where both networks get a doubleheader game. But to that Fox I'd imagine would have to get something in return.

Tre White back injury

Actually is slightly less as playing Sunday at 1:00 where as Tuesday would be night game. I can't see the Bills playing this week at all. If they did play this week, I wonder if they are also considering moving Chiefs to Monday night and go with another double header game. ESPN likely wouldn't be too happy with another 9:00 or later start, but maybe they give them some cash to make it up to them.
