  1. Yeah, but wheres the dress shirt part?
  2. Wonder if this will become a permanent change?
  3. Of all the positions on this team WR depth seems to be the best. While Brown is certainly a very good player, if we can't overcome the loss of Brown, we're in even more trouble than we realize.
  4. Hmmmm...... Interesting photo as always thought teams "dressed up" when traveling for road games?? Seems like you'd see players arriving in suit and tie.
  5. You're forgetting Gilliam. The Bills apparently think more of Gilliam than Williams as he has been part of the initial 53 and has played and produced some in the offense. I'd imagine Williams would be the 3rd TE/6th WR. will he be active, probably in case a player ahead of him in either position gets hurt. But will he play much, maybe if they wish to line him up as a TE, but play more of a big TE/WR role??
  6. I'd imagine almost any QB in the league could do the same thing while sitting in the press box. If he is so good at predicting plays, why wasn't he more successful as a player. He was very good, but wouldn't call him elite, wouldn't compare him to Brady, Manning, Farve, Brees, or Rodgers. He certainly is very articulate at describing things during a broadcast, better than most, but that doesn't make him a good coach. You sometimes too hear that many people watching a broadcast don't like it when the announcer predicts the plays before they happen so that could be why he does it better than most as others deliberately shy away from doing that too often. Romo also have a very likeable friendly personality with constant excitement in his voice. Compare that with say Aikman who sounds and looks as exciting staring at a blank wall. I wonder if Romo's personality would even translate to a good coach as you don't see many excited HC's out there. On top of that the only successful QB in the past 50 years that became a HC was Bart Starr. Most QB's who became HC were backup QB's like Frank Reich, Jason Garrett, Jim Harbaugh, etc.
  7. Yes understand it's specific officials job to watch for it, but my point was it's easy to get somewhat "distracted" and get caught up in the play rather than their specific task. I too have officiated sports, not football and certainly not at the NFL level, but know how easy it is to follow the ball instead of your specific task. While I'm certain at this level they are much more disciplined, it also likely takes much less to get distracted too with everything going on as you pointed out.
  8. I'd have to believe that is one of the more difficult rules for officials to monitor as can imagine the refs are going to be following the ball at that point, in particular when the QB sprints out.
  9. Just read someplace that he won the off season conditioning award for the team so doesn't sound like that. I haven't read through all 19 pages of this thread, maybe it's already been mentioned, but a friend of mine posted something about his "questionable foot injury" that showed up on game day against Tenn?
  10. Even withput Brown our WR are still as good overall as most others. TE doesn't even bother me that much as with the WR group we have, how manyh targets would be left even with an elite TE RB though is a concern right now. Maybe the issue will fix itself when Feleciano returns??
  11. Think he was with the Bills last season actually, though not sure a guy who has issues from 40 to 49 is any better
  12. Wow, am shocked, but guessing that was the paln all along, they just never expected to be 3-3 and one game off the lead. Does seem like a huge risk of losing the team if this blows up which a good chance it will just because rookies typically struggle. Does make me wonder if this came down from above.
  13. And did you really think KC was going to be held to a field goal on their last drive? I thought kicking was the right mindset, else you're already telling the defense I know you can't stop them, to me very much a losers mentality.
  14. Yeah well still haven't heard your brilliant solution either there champ!
  15. Maybe it is the injury, that he knows he can't just play normal, he has to make guesses as to what is going to happen in front of him to be in poistion to make the play with one shoulder. Then when guesses wrong, he's becomes useless. Add on top of that with only two years experience, he can't rely on guessing that much, needs to use his athleticism, but can't. I'm wondering it's one of these injures that won't get worse by playing, but also won't get better without surgery and surgery would be season ending so will just try and play through it. If they thought a week or two of rest would help, likely they would, but may be the type of injury that rest won't help?
  16. Way to cherry pick stats! Lets not look at what he did last season, just overall career. Yes Hausch WAS a very good kicker for eight seasons prior until 2018 and 2019. Those two years his percent was 78.5% also below the league average. Last year was 1 of 5 beyond 50 yards and the year prior 4 of 7. And BTW Hausch first two seasons his stats were below 68% , took him until 3rd full season before he got his average up above the league average. When you've only taken 9 kicks hard to make much of any argument about stats so can throw out Hausch first season too as even more limited. One of Bass's kicks may have even been good, which when you only took 9 kicks, one more being good would raise his percent to around 78%, gee identical to Hausch last two seasons.
  17. I was the play he got the penalty on. Yes it happened, though don't know what was behind it? Was it sulking possibly, but likely an over reach to label it a concern for something that happened one time.
  18. Oliver is playing with a leg still likely not 100%, heard this was the first game without a knee brace. Doubt Edmunds shoulder is OK. Won't be surprised if a couple weeks after the season ends, you hear he's having surgery one it. Likely one of these injuries that playing on it won't make it worse, but basically he's playing with one arm. Milano missed three complete games and didn't finish two others, played a total of a little over two whole games. Norman and Wallace have both been active and healthy for about ten minutes this year. H Phillips is about one full year beyond ACL injury By my account we've lost 5 games by starters on defense and 4 on offense. Did we lose nine games of starters to injury all of last season total? Many teams have lost players to injury, or even didn't bring back many starters from last season, where as we did, think it was 18 starters total. So why in particular on the defensive side are we playing so bad, injuries and don't think this team has much depth there to overcome. In the past Beane has been given great credit for finding gems like a Jordan Phillips, this year excluding Williams the tackle, Beane's luck may have run out in that regard.
  19. OK so a rookie with no pre-season missed a 52 yarder in the rain, he failed. So what exactly is your solution? Kept Hause? How many 50 yard kicks did he miss. Think he missed two last week in fact. Bass is the least of our problems right now.
  20. Looked like he threw that one off his back foot too.
  21. Well from that distance only about 60% are made to start with and there isn't an extra start I could find for in the rain, which I'd imagine would drop that 60% under 50% I guess by your logic if they send him in to make a 70 yarder and he misses, he failed.
  22. He struggled with some throws early, but then they went to running almost every play. Good idea if working well , but it wasn't. Allen really wasn't given enough chances to say it was his fault or not. The one drive in Q4 when they needed to score fast, he did deliver 5 for 5 was it. I do think Allen struggles a bit with nerves at the beginning of games, would rahter see them run on first series more and let him settle down some.
  23. He made one of two and think KC only ran one kick out of the end zone so to say he failed is a huge over reach. Particularly when the one miss was from 52 yards in the rain.
  24. Is it that teams are playing to stop longer completions, will give up dink and dunk stuff, but they know Allen won't take those throws often enough. Easy solution would be to run the ball but with limited success there to, makes it easy to stop. Am wondering if return of Feleciano will turn run game around? Who knows if Fors injury is anything serious we may be back to Spain and Feleciano at guard again like last year.
  25. Yeah that one surprises me too, seemed like much of stopping the Raiders in the 2nd half was due to switching him over to other DT slot and he did well.
