  1. Agree but the concerning part is look at the scores of games of other 8-3 and even 7-4 teams. They are winning some close games, but they are also winning some blowouts by 15 to 20 points. We have not won a game by more than 10 points and five of our wins were by one score, likely should have been six as I have no idea what the Chargers were trying to do in the last 30 seconds today, maybe Herbert bet on the Bills with the points. Likely if you take the unsportsmanlike conduct and roughing the passer penalties away we would have won comfortably but we just keep making totally dumb plays to allow the other team to get back into the game.
  2. Yes agree we've beaten some good teams and with one more win in the last five will tie last years record, two wins will exceed last years total wins which is good. Agree too that after first round likely won't be favored against a few teams. And agree we had control in so many games only to let it slip away in so many games too, that's the worrisome part. But calling these garbage times scores is way under selling it. We were up 18 points, and let them get within one score and came close to having to again worry about recovering an onsides kick to seal the game. Did it happen no but too often is coming down to that after letting good size leads slip away. In 11 games only the 2nd Jets game and the NE game did we outscore the team in the 2nd half. One of these days and maybe repeated days this will catch up to the team and with only a one game lead on Miami, could find ourselves losing the division and on the road for the wild card too.
  3. Could explain why he muffed the fumble, couldn't get down as far or as fast as needed and wiffed??
  4. Milano back next week should help alot too. Maybe they've also figured out a role for Klein which with Milano also playing could be a big plus
  5. Because so far for the most part it's happened every week. Thats a pretty good reason to assume it will be like that every game. How many games were we ahead either at half time or begin of 4th quarter and allowed other team to get closer or even go ahead. Most excluding Az game we pulled out, but we've let too many teams back into game
  6. Yeah he mad a couple wild throws he got away with, the one he hurt his ankle on too.
  7. Yes I recall the play against Dallas, believe at that point they were still behind or still very close. Here was a point where you more have the game in hand, so at that point protecting the football should become more a priority. Agree that you see it every week, works sometimes, but not always which goes back to my point when protecting lead, you don't need to be a hero, you need to be smart.
  8. One thing that does worry me some is: We drafted Allen for his big strong arm and he has shown the arm strength many times. But whenever the weather/wind is any kind of a factor Allen has had his least impressive games. Admittedly they ran the ball much better which is good and not that he threw the ball bad at all, but still does worry me a little.
  9. But that still would place him ahead of Hank Bullough
  10. Not sure I'd call it flat. More like playing a good defensive team, overall we played very good 95% of the plays, but the 5% where they screw up, they do it big time at the worst times to give the other team another shot.
  11. Yeah the one on Allen you could kind of understand the call. Did Allen think and do it deliberately near the defender or was it just instinct, I'll assume instinct, but the Moss call was silly.
  12. But then they become nail biters because of dumb penalties that allow the drives to continue, or we get the first down ourselves, but then is called back due to penalties on us. What were there 3 Unsportsmanlike calls and 2 roughing passer calls?
  13. The Int I can deal with, QB's make bad throws, but the fumble by Allen is just plain dumb, he needs to simply fall on it. Likely Allen will say in his post game he needs top play smarter, but then the next week he does the same thing again. The one penalty on Moss was a bad call, but the one by Allen while ticky tack was easy call, he spiked it right at the guys feet and the two roughing calls were fairly easy calls too..
  14. OK, that's right, forgot about about the Paul Brown thing.
  15. Don't understand the Browns one?
  16. True another very fitting one, but not many I can think of maybe Denver Broncos, San Fran 49's, but how many rams are there in LA or giants in NY or panthers in Carolina? Likely the last thing you'll find in New Orleans is a Saint.
  17. Maybe was a different Miami game, but do recall Marino always giving up on the running game in an era when running was the big thing for success.
  18. Are there buffalo in Africa? Got me thinking about buffalo's, is there another NFL team that combined their nickname with the city name and is an actual person/place/thing as well as Buffalo Bills?
  19. I recall too often it seemed he'd give up on the run game when it was working. Recall the 3rd Super Bowl year, we played Miami in Conference Championship game. Miami was ahead early and running the ball well. Think we went up like 4 points, still within one TD range, that was it after that mostly all passing and think we had 2 to 3 ints. Too often that was his MOA, going to win with his arm. Probably in todays game, he'd be alot more successful with that mentality.
  20. Practice in Az too? The team is either going to have to leave the Bay area to practice or agree to create a bubble for the team themselves, or don't practice at all. Probably they will have to leave town. I'm wondering if other parts of Cal will follow suit. Kind of funny too read a story about 3 weeks ago, the owner of Golden State was going to spend like $30 mil to have 50% capacity at home games by rapid testing everyone prior to the games. He explained how it was a well thought out medically proven plan as they need to have some fans at games as can't afford the revenue losses Thought from a PR standpoint this will look good. Spend $400 on an NBA game ticket and we'll give you test and you won't need to wait in line for 5 hours here. Guess his idea isn't going anywhere now.
  21. And we were lucky Kroft's wife went into labor, else he likely would have been out too. The explanation would be Balt's entire facility was shut down until Monday, where here the rest of the team can keep practicing. Believe there is some type of rule that players have to have a certain minimum number of practice days, which can't occur if facility is closed.
  22. certain irony here in that Denver's QB is named Lock
  23. Devin Hodges, he's on the Steelers. Isaiah Hodgins may be available though.
  24. I just looked at the schedules, moving to Arizona, they never conflict with the Cardinals games. Closest they come is next week, Az home Sunday, then the Bills game would be Monday night. Good weather location, but not stifling like in Sept and out of the state of Cal as more restrictions may come elsewhere like LA
  25. Great idea, except the NFLPA said sure as long as you pay the players for the weeks they are not playing. Easy to blame the league for everything, but sounds like the union played hardball with them and wouldn't allow them to do anything unless they got something in return, mainly money.
