  1. If it were based on fan voting he'd have been long gone Wow, you are gutsy taking him. Unless you're in a huge league, can't believe there weren't better more reliable options left for kickers. When factoring in how many he has missed and that the Bills tend to do a pretty good job of scoring TD's rather than kicking, don't think I'd have chosen him. I'd imagine he gave you 25 plus points?
  2. Not certain is it really him or is it the blocking just hasn't been very good? Moss has done better, but not great either. As far as I know there weren't any major injuries yesterday, so maybe the next game all five starters will actually play. Then the question will be for how long do all five last?
  3. Defensively they played a pretty good game excluding one play, (can't recall which one it was). Think part of the issue in the 2nd half was the offensive either turned the ball over or punted consecutively on was it 4 series and the defense at that point was gassed. The drives with all the punts were the killers.
  4. This is the one that really burns me, take the opposite; The defense goes Offside so the O-line ends up holding or the QB is now under duress so he intentional grounds. Could argue neither of those offensive penalties would have occurred if the defense wasn't Offside to start with. But it's off-setting. I'd argue enforce the first penalty but admittedly that is often hard to tell which one occurred first.
  5. Cause they're too busy developing QB's into WR's LOL!
  6. Knox has all the physical skills but with the WR core he played with in college, he just doesn't have nearly experience being a real contributor to the offense to make smart plays and know what to do often enough and play with discipline. In a way he's very similar to Josh Allen, tons of raw ability, but not enough experience to make smart plays. It's kind of like when I team is punting a deliberately takes a delay of game to give the punter more room. Sometimes though you see the defense decline the penalty. I've often thought why doesn't an offensive lineman just jump up out of stance and take a procedure penalty instead as that's then a dead ball penalty.
  7. With 11 seconds left, not the play to do. They could have easily thrown a 25 yard completion underneath got out of bounds as you're basically giving up one defender, then an easier shot at a TD. If that had fallen incomplete and now only two seconds left, then yes put a tall receiver back there. But with Davis being a rookie and Knox having a more physical TE mentality and not a lot more experience, not sure I'd like either of those two back there either.
  8. I just watched it frame by frame, Whites hand was between Hopkins, don't think Proyer knocked it out as much as the issue more was that White was falling down so his arm was falling away from between Hopkins arms. As Hopkins brought the ball down White's arm was no longer there and since he was falling away, had little leverage to knock it away. If White had gone up 1/4 second later may have made a big difference. Or better yet have a DB that's about 4 inches taller. Basically IMO Hopkins just out leaped the 3 Bills players. I think White tried to do that but as I said he was falling away so no leverage and as everyone came back down to earth the arm was gone.
  9. No idea what song those words were from. Think there's only been about one week I actually knew what song the words were from that he posted. That was 2 weeks ago when he posted Revolution! Actually based on your post I Googled the words to see what it was from. I will say I'm not a Dead Head and it's one group I really never followed at all. LOL!
  10. The problem with that is Davis is still a rookie so not sure I'd want to trust him that he doesn't get called for interference or something. Not certain I'd trust Knox there either as he's big, but use to more a TE role where you can knock people around some. The other issue I'd have with using an offensive player in that situation is that with 11 seconds it's not likely the last play so still have to worry about throwing a 25 yard pass completion and going out of bounds as likely could be a wide open receiver as you just basically gave up one player by putting him back there. If that had been an incompletion and now there's 2 seconds left, then I'd put him back there.
  11. 1 I'd imagine it wouldn't have been completed 49 out of 50 times. Do wonder how much Norman, Wallace, and then Jackson being out affected that play. May have been one of them would have been over there too, Seemed they were hurt by lack of height on that play. Often the defense will put there tallest guy out there, but with 11 seconds, it was still kind of too much time for that as may not have been the last play. 2 Agree Allen did struggle, could have had a couple more int's. Very lucky on that pass to Singletary too. 2 weeks in a row defense blitzed the hell out of us and Allen was running around like crazy. 3 I thought I was imagining things with the missing down and distance that I just wasn't looking in the right spot and it was really there. Maybe the best camera operators and producers were all in Augusta? 5 They have to figure out how to better run the ball. Maybe if Morse and Ford are both back, will get better there.
  12. I can remember that game how windy it was. Was a little surprised on the year though, as I thought it was later like around 1994 or so.
  13. Maybe we run it more than 18% this week. While I didn't state this in my post, I don't think the drop off between knox and Kroft is much if anything. While Knox hasn't done much of anything this season, he's still a big legit target that defenses can't just ignore. Sending out Lee Smith 15 times on pass plays and the defense may just ignore him, don't think you can do that with Knox. Agree we may be more limited in two TE set but Gilliam does have is it two TD's?
  14. Agree and if the season ended tomorrow, likely the the games with the biggest impact would be Bills/Miami or Cardinals/Rams. Possiblt also San Fran/Seattle game if San Fran has a big second half of season. And could argue Bills game is the bigger of the two as could determine division title where as Cardinals/Rams barring a huge 2nd half run by Vikings, Bears, likely will be a fight for wild card seedings between the two.
  15. None of the 5 games that can possibly being flexed to Saturday involve two playoff teams, but all 5 of them have one team for certain in the hunt. So will be interesting to see which two of the five they choose. The Denver game too is a 4:25 game, however most of the country will get the KC/Saints game so if it's not flexed to Saturday, will likely only be shown in western NY and Denver regions. For week 17 there are 8 games on CBS, one of them will/could be moved to the 4:25 time slot. The Bills/Fish is the only one of the 8 likely to involve two teams in the playoff, plus could end up that game determining who wins division. So good chance that one could be moved, in fact if playing for division, pretty certain it will be flexed. There's also the Sunday night game too. Kind of funny in week 17 there are only about three games where likely both teams will be fighting for playoff spots. So really that day there a 2 4:25 games shown to majority of country plus Sunday night game, plus the 1:00 games on both networks, likely if one of the games has playoff implications, that game will go to most of the country that doesn't have a home market. All in all good chance that game will be on local TV in most of the country. Since I don't live in the Bills home market I've been watching the schedule much more closely to see which games I'll need to figure out a plan as to how to watch. I get tomorrows game so the only one that likely won't be shown in my region is the Chargers game, but even that one I give it a 50/50 shot between Bills/Chargers or Indy/Tenn. Chargers game too is the only 1:00 start for certain, the only other one is Miami and good chance that gets moved to 4:25
  16. Last week we scored 44 points and the TE's were targeted 2 times was it? They like going with 4 WR so the TE isn't such a big deal. Teams have a harder time matching up against our 4 WR's than they would going with 3 and TE. Personally of the 4 I'm most worried about Marlowe
  17. In past 3 seasons, he played 44 out of 48 games. So how exactly is that not staying healthy?
  18. That question was just posted in a column in todays Athletic. Fairburn predicts: $8 to $10 mil for Williams which would place him in top 10 for a RT For Feliciano he predicts $6 to $8 mil But then goes on to state that without re-doing or cutting others not likely they could afford both with Allan and Edmunds among others due new contracts soon too.
  19. That was what the Bills came out and tried to do against KC another team with an explosive offense. On top of that the Bills for the first time all year ran the ball well the week prior against NE. Taking those two things together, would think the Bills would have come out running much more than they did.
  20. That was one of the things the article talked about their early success was due to drafting well in the first decade, lately not as well. And BTW, this wasn't me asking the question! LOL https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/bill-belichick-bristles-at-reporters-question-about-pats-lack-of-draft-success/ar-BB1aZjIt?li=BBnb7Kz
  21. Do you subscribe to the Athletic, About 2 weeks ago there was an article there talking about their demise and how a number of things effected them but had lists, charts, showing how they have drafted worse than most teams in the league for the past 7 to 8 years, including the Bills. Was the 9 year stretch you mention the past 9 years? Doesn't look like it since some of those names were from back around 2009. It also talked about how they'd sign these mid level cheap FA's every year, but this year with no Brady and a few other things happening, that path dried up for the them too. Basically players would sign for less to have a chance at winning the SB in next couple of years, but once Brady was gone, they weren't signing there. But also article talked about how they haven't drafted well in the past 7 to 8 years. Guys like Edelman Gronk, McCordy, Solder and others arrived when they were still drafting well but not since around 2012 give or take a year. James White has1000 rushing and 3004 receiving yards in 7 seasons. You're calling that an example of drafting well?
  22. That's about one a year, not sure I'd put Jimmy G on that list either. And how many are still there? His drafting particularly in last few years has not been veey good. The Bills have more pro bowl players lately than NE does.
  23. He's already the GM maybe without the official title and he's pretty bad it it. Read an article recently and talked about the problems in NE and poor drafting was one of the big things they mentioned. They showed a chart going back to was it 2011 or 2013 , somewhere around that time frame and listed the number of pro bowl players every team has had. NE was down close to around #20, the Bills had more players than they did.
