  1. He's the exact type of player that can give a reeling team like the Saints a spark and an equally struggling team like the Bills big problems. I expect to see him on the field quite a bit tomorrow possibly even starting at QB.
  2. Even if the Bills beat the Saints it's another mirage until the inevitable happens on national TV on MNF....and pretty sure most fans know what I'm talking about so don't need to describe it in detail here.
  3. The issue with Allen's contract is that it should be an issue this season, in that it should have never happened. I've said all along is that you never want to rush to pay someone big money until they show consistency and prove over multiple season they are who you think they are. And for Beane to rush and get this deal with Allen done after one great season during the weird Covid year proves without a shadow of a doubt how inept h really is as an NFL GM. I mean what was the worst case waiting until after the 2021 season? Allen has marginally better numbers than 2020 and you pay him $280 Million instead of $260?? But this will be the move that buries this regime and ensures Beane is fired after 2022 because the pressure to win will be absurb next year for this especially if the Bills stay on their current trajectory to flame out this year.
  4. Aside from having a horrible oline and terrible coaching staff, the main issue with Allen seems to be mental. He also seems a bit immature which is concerning given his contract but he's obviously only still in his mid 20's. The good news is all of this can be fixed, both cosmetically and through age/experience. The Pegulas forked over $250 million for Allen to be a franchise QB here so at some point the first to go will be Beane and McDermott with the assumption that it's not Allen's fault for this team shaping up to be a monumental trainwreck one year after a conference championship appearance.
  5. That's truly insane if it's that long but still very telling and a bad omen because as mentioned the only viable candidate right now is the Bills. Packers and Bucs aren't perfect but both are locks for the playoffs at this point. And the Chiefs aren't going to magically revert back to the team they were a few months ago and it's crazy but their defense might be the best in the league right now and it's no coincidence this is happening with an elite player like Chris Jones back in the lineup and healthy. So yay if the Bills don't magically turn things around they will keep that streak going sadly.
  6. The way I see it is McKenzie can not field a kick return again for this team if you are serious about sending a message. No he's not the sole reason this team lost against the colts but his mistake killed any chance they had to get back in the game. Also McDermott spoke about him multilple times in interviews with the media saying 'he knows he can't turn the ball over'. So it's empty words to let this guy keep playing and the time is now to send a message and make a change if you are coaching staff serious about holding your poor performing team accountable. And for those that say it could get worse with a rookie, sure he can do the same thing and fumble but that's about it. Best case he actually protects the ball, runs a kick back and gets worked into the offense the rest of the season. Either way it's time to end the McKenzie experiement for good in Buffalo and if Daboll is gone after this season I'm sure it's a given that McKenzie is also long gone from this team.
  7. As far as in season there isn't much this team can do because of how badly they botched the offseason. But some of the obvious have probably already been mentioned: 1) Play Breida more, make Moss inactive rest of year. 2) Play Bates somewhere on the oline and make sure Ford never sees the field again as a Bill. 3) More Davis, less Sanders. 4) No more McKenzie at return man or in offense for that matter. 5) Bench/release Vernon Butler, more Obada/Basham. 6) Pretty much same with Addison, would just give Epensa as many snaps as possible to know if he's a viable piece going forward. 7) Blitz like crazy on defense, enough of the zone nickel crap and trying to get pressure with the front four. Take chances at this point because there aren't many more garbage QB's left to play. 8( won't happen but I would fire Bobby Johnson, Eric washington and/or other assistants immediately to send message.
  8. I can list at least 10 useless and worthless wastes of roster space to make room starting with Butler, Ford, Moss, etc.
  9. Has anyone considered that he could be really sick from covid and not returning anytime soon? Or even he does return goes the way of Dawkins the rest of the season and sucks? Just amazes me that everyone thinks Star is some sort of savior when he didn't play a single down for this team last year.
  10. One important item to start considering.....I forgot the official statistic, but something like the last 10 years regarding the final four teams in the playoffs the previous year (conference championship games) at least one did not make the playoffs at all the following season. For a while everyone thought this year that team was the Chiefs and the trend would continue, but they are well back on track to not only make the playoffs but win the AFC West again. So right now that team looks like the Bills which would have been crazy to think just a few weeks ago but you reap what you sow and this team is falling off the map and will essentially be buried if they don't find a way to beat the Saints on the road.
  11. Was just about to post this too. But a great read that hits on a lot of the discussion points here including Josh Allen's regression and how he's been a big part of the problem this year. Obviously McDermott is probably not going anywhere after this season but I think at minimum firing Daboll has to be on the table, if not both coordinators because their philosophies simply don't jive with what it takes to win in this league which is being physical in the trenches.
  12. It didn't take a genius to understand that despite going 13-3 and reaching a conference championship game that there was still a lot of room for improvement with this team. But we kept hearing empty words and platitudes like 'process', 'continuity' and 'culture' without any real understanding that this is a year to year league and the Bills weren't successful in 2020 because they had a group of star players leading the way. It's just sad that fans that actually pay attention understood all these things but Beane is just another ego driven, arrogant guy who thinks because he's an actual NFL GM he was justified in making the ill advised decisions he did.
  13. At the end of the day nothing is going to change until Daboll is replaced. Because I think even with a better oline and true RB1 this guy will continue to call ridiculous plays and refuse to make adjustments in game. And based on how the game was going early when we were still in it he was determined to get Allen hurt with the stupid designed runs against the Colts defense. But at present I still believe Singletary is good enough to be a solid RB if he gets the bulk of the carries with Breida mixed in. Zack Moss is worthless though and should not be active anymore this year and certainly off the roster next year.
  14. If we don't make the playoffs or back in and go one and done, then yes it's time to have a serious discussion about their long time viability starting with the Pegulas calling them out for their failure this year and steadfast determination to bring back the same team from last year. It's all about results in this league and if we believe Allen is a franchise QB you don't want to waste valuable years with a Marvin Lewis type of coach. You make the move sooner than later to replace him with a capable HC and GM that can elevate this franchise and as of today I don't believe this regime is capable of winning a championship.
  15. It's a combination of many things, but the main factor is last year appears to be a fluke in hindsight starting with Josh Allen. And if you go back and look at this team's 'hot streak' to end the year last season who did they really beat: Chargers (rookie QB) 49ers (injury ravaged starting a 3rd string QB) Steelers (they were in the midst of their collapse) Broncos (bad team with Drew Lock starting) Patriots (transition/down year) Dolphins (Frauds starting rookie QB) And while the Bills started similarly this year they peaked against KC and have proven to be frauds going 1-3 against teams .500 or better and 2-3 in the last 5 games since the KC SB game. At the end of the day this is still a roster lacking real game breaking talent and things are going to from bad to worse the next few years because of all the bad contracts Beane has handed out. Which is why don't be surprised if you finally seem him make big moves and trade away premium draft picks next year like the Rams because of the pressure to win right away and not worrying about the consequences of getting fired or being here with no draft capital/cap space to work with.
  16. At least they won a championship and played in another SB and if any Bills fan here says they wouldn't take that they'd be lying. With this HC and GM we aren't getting anywhere close to that.
  17. Not arguing most of this but where are the true star players especially on defense that can wreck a game and change momentum on a single play? Yes we have a lot of turnovers but it's been mostly against garbage QB's and rookies. And there were several times today something could have happened but didn't instead just dumb penalties and making Wentz look like Mahomes or Allen back there getting out of sacks. Just seems all we have talked about with Beane's picks is 'potential' and still waiting for real results.
  18. Here's what should scare most fans, assuming this team flames out there's a very good chance this entire coaching staff stays intact minus Bobby Johnson. Because barring a complete meltodown Frazier's defense will still end up being top 10 in most categories especially since there are several teams/QB's left to pad stats again vs a lot more that will move the ball easily against them. Also pretty sure the offense will finish top 10 as well because there will always be garbage time to pad stats the rest of the way regardless of what end of it the Bills are on. At the end of the day I'm still asking myself what exactly 'the process' is we are supposed to trust especially with such a soft, undisciplined team that simply doesn't seem to care and has alternated losses and wins ever since their SB game against the Chiefs.
  19. Going to be Chiefs/Pats AFC championship game. Also impressive how the Cardinals have looked as they also have had key injuries pile up in recent weeks missing their MVP QB and top 3 WR and won't be surprised if they are the NFC SB team assuming Brady doesn't heat up again.
  20. I agree with this for the most part which again begs the question of what Beane has really accomplished here outside of Allen and Diggs for the most part. And the way he seems to covet draft picks (i.e. not making any moves at the trade deadline) leads you to believe he really thinks everything he touches turns to gold.
  21. I think if we miss the playoffs this year it will be hot especially considering the circumstances (6-3 start) and roster that this front office/coaching hand picked in terms of basically bringing back the same exact team from last year and refusing to do anything before the trade deadline. To be honest though even if this team backs into the playoffs again like 2017 and is one and done for me it should still be the same circumstances.
  22. I hope you are younger than 30 years old to make such a ridiculous statement.
  23. But people are going to tell you they still lead the league in pressure and that matters...
  24. Chiefs going to send a message today. I've said all along it was the Bills SB and what a hollow accomplishment it's going to end up being.
  25. He's still young but you can't honestly believe this dude is worth $250 Million and say it with a straight face. What big games has he won or carried this team on his back outside of perhaps the playoff game last year against this same Colts team? Again, he's good and far from the problem here but the idol worship is laughable.
