  1. It's for the best in the long run in a survivor pool. Neither one is a good team, but the Jaguars are on the rise with some good free agent signings and a potential star rookie quarterback. The Texans have an incredibly distracting situation with Deshaun Watson and a stopgap qb in Tyrod. They lost their offensive star in Hopkins last season and now lost the best defensive player in franchise history in JJ Watt. I Believe the GM consciously wants the team to tank so they can get a new qb #1 overall next year.
  2. 2006 Bills vs Patriots Opening drive- Takeo Spikes strip sacks Tom Brady, and London Fletcher takes it to the house. I was at a Bills party and everyone went absolutely nuts. It was an outdoor party and drinks went flying and people started singing... Unfortunately we ended up losing the game on a JP Losman safety, but there was that one moment of euphoria and hope that maybe we could defeat the mighty Patriots who had just won 3 of the last 4 Superbowls.
  3. Imagine having a job where doing it badly on purpose actually gives your work more exposure...
  4. I think he looked great in preseason. He clearly did a lot of work in the offseason because he's faster and stronger than ever. I think he will average 5 YPC, but I'm just not sure how many carries he will get in this pass-first offense. Last year, Moss split some carries but missed some games with injuries and Yeldon was always inactive. With Moss and Breida taking reps away this year it will be tough to get to 1,000.
  5. I think he would be the #2 on most teams, and probably the #1 on a few. Having him as our #3 is a luxury. We've come a long way from Zay Jones and Robert Foster.
  6. John Brown was great his first year here, but last season he was neither healthy nor effective. I'm hoping that eventually Marquez Stevenson can take on the role of deep threat in this offense. I think McKenzie's injury may give him an opportunity to show off his kick/punt return ability. He could be deadly on jet sweeps as well.
  7. Cue the overused terms to describe every white lineman in the NFL: He's a blue collar player He brings his lunch pail to work. He's "high motor" He's a grinder. He's "sneaky athletic" After he gets out of practice he hauls bales of hay around for fun 😂
  8. I bet he goes to the Colts or Saints. Colts lost TY Hilton to injury, and the Saints won't have Michael Thomas for a while.
  9. I think they call that the Mike Pettine Triple Crown 🏆
  10. No problem. Anyone with exactly 186 posts get free wings at the Buffalo Wing Festival this weekend and also gets to wrestle competitive eater Miki Sudo in a swimming pool full of wing sauce for a chance to win $1 Million
  11. I think anyone with exactly 186 posts should get some sort of plaque or mural on the side of the stadium.
  12. I think Sweeney is the only one left on the roster. Maybe they keep just Knox and Gilliam so they can keep more depth at other positions. Maybe they already signed/traded for another TE and it just hasn't been announced yet.
  13. I'm suprised they weren't able to trade him for a late round pick. He would still be a solid backup.
  14. I thought Hollister looked good in preseason. With Gilliam moving to FB we might only keep 2 TE's.
  15. House isn't supposed to come up with the right diagnosis right away! You have an hour to fill!
  16. I thought that Rousseau was going to be a project that that his long frame would lead him to get pushed around by NFL tackles until he added more bulk. Instead he had an immediate impact in preseason and was able to overpower an OT drafted in the top 10. I also thought that Ford/Knox/Edmunds would breakout in preseason, but I didn't see too much of that. Ford was outplayed by Boettger, Knox by Hollister, and Edmunds by Andre Smith.
  17. Rousseau didn't make any big plays this game, but he got off blocks and was able to get his hands up and force the qb to throw it away a couple times.
  18. Houston is in complete tear-down mode. Losing JJ Watt and the Deshaun Watson situation made this a miserable offseason for Texans fans.
  19. That was quick. Good to have everyone back for tomorrow's game (minus McKenzie). We should put our starters out here for at least a quarter just to get them acclimated. The backups played so well that there's some pressure on them to look dominant.
  20. If Breida is active on Sundays, he could also be in the mix at returner. He hasn't done it since his rookie year, but he's fast, agile, and has good hands.
  21. Great game, but I forgot how ugly their uniforms were back then 🤮
  22. As long as the starting O-line is in there while Josh plays, I'm not nervous about him getting hurt. I guarantee they'll tell him not to run with it under any circumstances.
  23. Andre Smith looks fast and instinctive both in pass coverage and run support. Klein had his moments late last season (mostly as a blitzer) but Smith fits our defensive scheme much better.
  24. Me in 2011: Please media, acknowledge that our team exists and recognize some of our good players! Me in 2021: SHHH! Stop hyping us up! We're trying to sneak under the radar!
